PROPERTIES
COLOUR
DELTACOLOR masterbatches have been developed in compliance with the following
standards: RAL 840HR, MUNSELL EIA359, SAE J-1128, BS6746C, NCS, AFNOR,
AENOR, NFX-08-002, UNE-48-103-94, CEI 304, FDS595C, NEMA. DELTA TECNIC can
develop any special colour at the customer’s request. Minimum production is 25kg.

DOSAGE
DELTACOLOR masterbatches have been developed for a 1-3% dosage, depending
on the application sector and on the polymer compound used.

LIGHT FASTNESS
It has been tested under regulation DIN 53387- Blue scale (1=very low; 8 = very high).
DELTA TECNIC has also developed the same colour range incorporating in their formu-
lation UV absorbers and/or antioxidants in order to protect the mechanical characteris-
tics of the base polymer for a longer period of time. These masterbatches are identified
with UV at the end of the masterbatch name. Dosage will be indicated in each case.

TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE
All the pigments used for the manufacture of our DELTACOLOR masterbatch ranges
have been selected to appropriately resist processing temperatures. Our product
Technical Specifications indicate the temperature resistance of each masterbatch.

COLOUR UNIFORMITY
DELTACOLOR masterbatch have been developed with a special pigment selection
that guarantees optimal dilution and coloration of the polymer base compounds.

PRODUCT PRESENTATION
DELTACOLOR masterbatches are supplied in 25 kg bags and 1,000 kg pallets. Any other
kind of packaging can be prepared upon request.

OUR FACILITIES HAVE A WIDE MASTERBATCH RANGE
FOR PVC EXTRUSION AND INJECTION, BOTH STANDARD COLOURS
AND COLOURS DEVELOPED SPECIFICALLY TO MEET OUR CUSTOMERS REQUIREMENTS.

All Masterbatches are designed to optimally resist PVC transformation temperatures.

Our Masterbatch products perfectly fulfill all the market's requirements, providing:

High colour resistance to light and weather exposure

01.DELTAVINIL C
STANDARD PELLET
Standard cylindrical size 2.5 x 3.5 (+- 1 mm approx.)
Is the most commonly used version. Dosage ranges from 1-3% according to the requested application.

02.DELTAVINIL MP
MICROPELLET
Cylindrical size 1.5 x 1.5 (+- 1 mm approx.)
‘Micropellet’ format. Considerably improves the dilution of the Masterbatch in the customer’s base composite due to its
smaller pellet size.
Increases homogeneity, accuracy and regularity of colour throughout the whole manufacturing process.
We do not recommend mixing it directly with the compound base if this is made of standard pellet because it won't be
mixed evenly.
The ‘MP’ format is appropriate for mixing both in the ‘Dry Blend’ and by automatic dosage directly in the extrusion machine.

03.DELTAPLAST S
POWDER
The S version is a dispersion of powder pigments and additives in a calcium carbonate or PVC substrate. Its use is
only recommended if it has been previously mixed with the powder composite (Dry blend).
It is especially recommended when the customer is preparing a pellet or powder compound before direct extrusion.

04.FLUSHING PIGMENTS
DELTAPLAST FP series
The flushing pigments are a special range of colour masterbatches coated in binder instead of polymeric base.
These products have been specially developed for the colouration of flexible & rigid PVC where a very fast colour dilution
is requested.

CALENDERING
OUR FACILITIES HAVE A WIDE MASTERBATCH RANGE DEVELOPED
FOR THIS MARKET SECTOR, BOTH FOR RIGID AND FLEXIBLE APPLICATIONS.
Our masterbatches contain a high pigment concentration which successfully
substitutes the use of powdered pigments or pigment pastes.

01.DELTAVINIL C
STANDARD PELLET
Colours with particle size 2.5 x 3.5 +- 1 mm, unitary pigment concentrates in the same range as CP version.
We can also produce tailor-made products according to the customer’s specifications.
Our Masterbatch products perfectly fulfill all the market’s requirements.

02.DELTAVINIL MP
MICROPELLET
Tailor-made colours, with particle size 1 x 1.5 +- 0.5 mm. This masterbatch range is recommended for use in long production colours.
Dosage: 1-3 % depending on the base used by the customer.
Weather and light fastness: designed according to the specifications and requirements requested by the customer.
Temperature resistance: all the pigments have been selected to properly resist the processing temperatures for each
application properly.
Dispersion: during the extrusion process all the pigments are disaggregated so that their performance is optimal.
This provides excellent colour regularity and avoids the presence of agglomerates in the final applications.
Dilution: this product range with a smaller pellet colour considerably improves the colour dilution properties within the
customer’s base.

03.DELTAVINIL CP
CRIOPELLET
Unitary pigment concentrates, cryogenically grinded with a particle size under 1000 µm, and a DE <0,7 (see product list).
Additivated with Ca/Zn stabilisers
Pigment content between 20-50% in organic products and 50-70% in inorganic products.
Temperature resistance: all the pigments have been selected to properly resist the processing temperatures for each
application properly.
Dispersion: during the extrusion process all the pigments are fully disaggregated so that their performance is optimal.
This provides excellent colour regularity and the absence of agglomerates in the final application.
Dilution: this masterbatch range is a powder preparation that confers the maximum colour dilution properties within the
customer’s bases.

THE FLUSHING PIGMENTS ARE A SPECIAL RANGE OF COLOR MASTERBATCHES
