ICAI CA Foundation Syllabus and Subjects

Icai has changed the ​CA Foundation Syllabus​. Candidates who are
appearing for the exam must follow the official syllabus released for the
upcoming CA Foundation exam. This exam is conducted for students all
those who have passed or going to appear for the Class 12 board exam
this year to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant.

There are four papers in the ca foundation exam. A person has to pass all
the exam and once they applied then they have to a long in which they
have to pass 3 exams and one articleship. For this journey you have to

Pattern and Marking Scheme


1. There are four papers.
2. Every paper consists of ​100 marks​.
3. The time duration for the papers is ​3 hours each​.
4. There are two segments or we can say to part in which there are two papers
each in them.
5. The first segment consists of two ​subjective papers​:-
1. Principles And Practice Of Accounting(100 marks)
2. Business Laws And Business Correspondence(100 marks)
● Business Law (60 marks)
● Business correspondence and Reporting (40 marks)
6. The second segment consists of the other two ​objective papers​:-
1. Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, And Statistics(100 marks)
● Business Mathematics(40 marks) and Logical Reasoning(20
marks)
● Statistics (40 marks)
2. Business Economics And Business & Commercial Knowledge(100 marks)
● Business Economics(60 marks)
● Business and Commercial Knowledge(40 marks)
7. Candidates have to score a minimum of ​40% marks in each paper and a
minimum of ​50% marks in aggregate of all the papers to pass the CA foundation
exam.
8. Ca foundation is an office exam and happens in a ​6-month gap​. The question
paper comes in both the languages Hindi and English.
