What is Budget?
Budget is an estimate of cost and revenue and research over a specific period,reflecting a reading of
future,financial condition and goals. (businessdictionary.com,April 24 2019)

It plays an important role to achieve financial stability and was the most important tools in
government administrative or any organization.

A government budget refers to annual financial statement…….???......

With a strict budget,it plays an important role to control the country and state financial and in order
to be more economic and dynamic country.

Why Budget is made?

Budget is made to help in achieved and get control over the revenue and to strengthening fiscal
administration.

It help in getting standart in performance and raising government revenue. Budgeting will make
good financial decision and control over finance which it helps on good budget planning in order to
prevent deficit from occurring.

Budget 2019

Budget 2019 will allocate a total of RM314.5 billion. From the total RM 259.8 billion is for Operating
Expenditure while RM 54.7 billion is provide for Developtment Expenditure. (Lim Guan Eng,Budget
2109,minister of finance, strategy 12,page 43 statement 205, Friday 2 november 2018)

Budget on developtment:

FIRST: To build and upgrade roads, rural roads, and bridges with an allocation of RM926 million.

SECOND: To broaden the electricity and water supply to rural areas with an allocation of RM694
million and RM738 million respectively.

THIRD: An allocation of RM85 million to New Villages towards upgrading and maintaining basic
infrastructure such as roads, community halls and open spaces.

FOURTH: An allocation of RM100 million to support the Indian community, including TVET to
improve the career advancement opportunities of the Indian youths.

FIFTH: An allocation of RM100 million to strengthen the development of orang asli communities
through the construction and upgrading of infrastructure for the supply of water, relocation,
education, welfare and economic development.

SIXTH: An allocation of RM20 million to residents’ associations registered with the Registrar of
Societies to carry out community, security, cleaning and community activities.

SEVENTH: For FELDA settlements, the Goverment will allocate RM100 million to upgrade roads,
RM160 million to carry out water supply projects and RM35 million for building construction and
upgrading works, as well as installation of street lights. This represents an overall increase of 51%
compared to the previous year’s allocation.
