Course Description:

The course is pursuant to Section 12 of RA No. 9163 otherwise known as the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001. NSTP
– CWTS 1 includes the concept on volunteerism, self-awareness and team building geared towards an understanding of service and community
consciousness.

General Student Outcomes (GSO) addressed by the Course

GSO (c). Ability to demonstrate understanding of social, physical and natural sciences to meet the desired needs of the community and the exhibit
responsibility for environment and social concern.

Performance Indicators (Pls) addressed by the Course

1. Conduct environmental scanning


2. Conduct case studies and perform experimental beneficial to the identified community.
3. Participate actively in uplifting the welfare of the community especially the less privileged sectors through community outreach program.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOs)

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

 Relate the nature of NSTP with the school’s mission, vision and core values.
 Identify the significant role of youth in community building.
 Feel one’s joy and fulfilment in becoming aware of oneself and appreciate their role in time building.
 Develop the sense of volunteerism, cooperation, nationalism and environmental consciousness.
 Facilitate group discussions and activities successfully.
 Execute proper behaviour in doing different activities.
