Context -
Starting 1st February 2019 spanning till May 15, 2019, you would effectively have three and a
half months to complete a full revision for the Prelims.
The idea behind this post is to help you cover the basic minimum needed to get through this
exam. If you have covered more than what is outlined in this post, you obviously have an edge.
However, if you feel that you are running out of time and need to get going, the things
mentioned in the post are the least you need to do.
Philosophy - You do not need to aspire to get all the questions right from all the sections of the
GS paper. As long as you are able to maintain an AVERAGE of 60-70% accuracy across all
sub-subjects (Polity, Economics, Geography, History, Science, and Environment, and Misc
Current Affairs), you are sorted for the Prelims. This means, you can strengthen the areas you
already feel comfortable in and tackle the other areas with ease and discretion.
Most importantly, it is absolutely possible to get through the prelims with the time remaining.
Now, more than ever, is for you to start getting your act together.
a. Spend 30 and 31st of January to make a subject wise - topic wise - weekly plan ranging from

questions have been previously asked from 1991 - 2018.
c. Wind up your optional (even if it is 50-60% done) latest by second week of February
d. Newspapers from January should not be missed
e. Current Affairs Compilation from December 2018 onwards is enough.
