TOPIC : MY AMBITION IS TO BE A TEACHER WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

SPESIFIC : TO INFORM MY AUDIENCE ABOUT WHY I WANT TO BE ATEACHER WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

INTRODUCTION

 Salutation to the teachers and friends as the audiences.

 Everyone has his/her goals in life to achieve – it depends on one’s will – same goes to me
 My ambition is to be a teacher with special needs – define the meaning of students with
special needs – to make people understand about it
 In this speech – going to expose my own reasons about my ambition – this special education
teacher has heterogeneous of benefits
 I hope this speech can change your negative perspective about children with special needs –
stop being prejudice on them

BODY / MAIN CONTENTS

1) Special education teacher is a rewarding job.

 The special education teacher would have a close and friendly relationship –
between the students and their parents.
 It is about putting myself in two states of situation ; wether it is a bad or good
situation.
 For example, I will be rewarded the students’ happiness and cooperations – if i
manage to control them in good ways
 Second reward - it would be the greatest investment in the world and hereafter
 Also be rewarded a special allowance per month – seems to be materialistic but it is
not true – just a small value compared to the efforts on handling the special
students
 2) Special education teacher is a higher demand.
 Due to the increasing of the number of disabled students
 People can more readily find positions nationwide – this prevent the graduates from
being categorised in the groups of young and jobless Malaysians – the evidence is
supported by Bank Negara

3) Special education teacher can be a highly versatile career choice with multiple career path
options.
 The teachers are trained in many subjects and other skills – they have the
advantages in many options
 Having an additional specialization makes more marketable for employement – most
employers want something different and valuable from their future staffs

4) Special education teacher gives me an absolute satisfaction.

 I get to see and observe on the students’ improvement everyday
 Can understand the efforts needed to handle the special students
 Daily impact can affect lifelong impact for the children – can affect their
independence later
 Although it is a tiring job – but it comes with an absolute satisfaction ever

5) Environmental impact affects me to become a special education teacher.

 Observation on special kids from different categories at most places
 Listen to my own mother’s story about students who are recognised as slow-
learners and autismes
 These situations really push me to be in this career
 I get full supports from my parents and other people

CLOSURE

 Conclude that special education is not only able to educate the students – but it can also
strengthen my faith
 I believe in my choice to be in this career – sooner or later it will be worth me
 If not because of the students – there will be no new knowledge to us
 I want to take this chance to ask all of you – we need to know and dig deeper about the
special children – do not let the world hits them down – these special children need our
supports
