Celebrate with us the 50th Anniversary of Chicano

Studies at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte

The California-Mexico Studies Center (CMSC), El Colegio de la

Frontera Norte (El Colef), San Diego State University (SDSU) and
the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT) are pleased to invite you to the
International Conference Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the
Founding of Chicano Studies. The conference will focus on the origin
of the Chicano Movement and the implementation of Chicano Studies
programs in 1969, the importance of teaching Chicano and Latino
Studies in the United States and Mexico, as well as promote a
comparative analysis of the scope of this movement in both countries.

But if you plan to participate please register by 12 noon Monday,

Oct. 7th on the button below and/or contact Professor Armando

ramos@csulb.edu, to provide your information in order to be sent
an invitation and information about hotel accommodations and
meals.

Participants in attendance will not be required to

pay any registration fees, but hotel and meals
must be paid by the participant.
