Students will be given ample time to complete tasks. Others will serve in other capacities if Readers
Theater script work is too difficult. i.e. Director, Video monitor, etc.

Allow students to sit with the group and closely monitor to keep on task.

Allow early finishers of the mask to research on their animal or allow them to illustrate their narrative.
During guided practice for early finishers, ask these students to write their own scenario using the
stated requirements.

Assessments

Formative During the guided practice, informal assessment will be done by the teacher as she works with
small groups monitoring conversations and reading of scripts. Discussions regarding relevance to their
animal projects will be assessed as well.

Summative: Complete research worksheet on their animal’s habitat, climate and food consumption.
