EIERÍ JORDÁN SALIVIA
Coach Salivia begins his tenure at the helm of the Bruins women’s soccer program of Kellogg Community College.
He enters his 1st year of collegiate coaching and the 1st year the Bruins return to the NJCAA, Division 1.
Coach Salivia’s career began as an athlete playing soccer for the Puerto Rico youth national teams, the Romanian
club Astra Ploiesti, and the Puerto Rico Men’s Beach Soccer national team. Eieri began preparing to coach
with education from the Puerto Rico Department of Sports & Recreation, United Soccer Coaches, Puerto Rico
Soccer Federation, US Soccer, LMA, CONCACAF, and FIFA. His education and experience have led him to various
distinctions, such as being part of the 30 under 30 class of 2016-2017 by United Soccer Coaches.
Eieri grew up playing soccer in the streets of San Juan heavily influenced by the amalgam of soccer styles found
in Puerto Rico from countries such as Spain, Italy, Brazil and others. He attended the University of Puerto Rico,
Rio Piedras Campus before transferring to the United States Sports Academy to complete a Bachelor of Sport
Science with a concentration in Sport Management. In 2016, Coach Salivia earned his Master of Education
in Applied Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. His preparation has led to
opportunities coaching at all ages of youth soccer as well as semi-professional and international soccer scene.
Coming from a long lineage of educators, Coach Salivia is a lifelong learner of the game and a firm believer that
while soccer is performed with the body, the game is played with the brain.

ISSAM SHAKKALO
Issam joins KCC as a volunteer coach while studying Sport
Management at the college. Coach Issam grew up in a soccer-loving
family surrounded by a father who also played the sport and a
brother who specializes in sport medicine. Issam entered the soccer
scene as a player in 1997 with Syrian club Al-Wheda, developing
in their youth system until reaching the 1st team and professional
status in 2004. With stints in Syrian clubs Al-Majd and Jableh under
his belt, Issam was called up to represent the Syrian youth national
teams U17, U19 and U21 during international competition. After his
career as an athlete, Issam transferred his skills to the education world
coaching in Turkey and most recently, in the United States of America.
Currently, Coach Issam coaches with youth club Red Arrow and assist in
the Gull Lake High School boys’ program. At KCC, Coach Issam assist the
women’s soccer program with weekly trainings focusing on acquisition
of sport-specific skills.

ANNA STINSON with the highest combined academic and athletic achievement. She

ASSISTANT COACHING STAFF

ANDREA JONES
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Jones is currently working on her certification for
personal training and coaching licensure. She has a love for
soccer and weightlifting and wants to pass along her passion
to learn and work hard. She is focused on helping players be
active and healthy on and off the field and believes study time is
just as valuable and important as time spent in the gym.

ALEX HOLLEY
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH
Coach Alex is the women’s soccer strength and conditioning
coach, while also serving as an assistant coach and strength and
DEFENSIVE/GOAL KEEPER conditioning coach for KCC’s baseball program. During his two
years at KCC he received his Associates Degree and was part of

23 SAMANTHA the 2015 baseball team that won the conference championship,
regional championship and had a 5th place finish at the Junior
College World Series in Enid, Oklahoma. Alex continued his collegiate baseball career at
COLE Spring Arbor University and graduated with a BA in Health and Exercise Science. Alex also
works at Next Level Performance in Schoolcraft, MI where he trains K-12, collegiate and
professional athletes.

ROBERT MULLIGAN ASSISTANT COACH
Robert Mulligan, KCC Spanish professor, and assistant coach began his coaching and playing
HOBBIES: Soccer, Volleyball, hanging experience over 35 years ago. As a goalkeeper, Robert played in high school and on club
out with my family teams. After college he played in Northern Spain, in the Basque region for Neguri, FC. Robert
ROLE MODEL: My brother Matt and ran youth soccer programs in Massachusetts while finishing Grad School at Indiana University
Mr. Tom Shaw where he also worked with Goalkeepers. Robert also coached high school and club soccer in
Florida for 3 years while playing in the amateur premier division at the Sarasota football Club.
