A Vicky and Paolo are talking about their vacations. Listen and
check the correct answers.
PAOLO: So, Vicky, where did you go for your vacation?
VICKY: I went to Costa Rica. It was my first time there.
PAOLO: Did you enjoy it?
VICKY: Well, yes and no. I wanted to go surfing, but the waves
were really scary. Many days, it was too windy to surf. The
weather was pretty cloudy and cool, and it rained a lot.
PAOLO: That’s terrible! So you didn’t surf?
VICKY: No, but I visited a lot of museums and saw some movies.
What about you, Paolo? How did you spend your vacation?
PAOLO: Well, I had a lot of fun. I went to Canada.
VICKY: Wow! What did you do there?
PAOLO: I took a hiking trip in the Rocky Mountains.
VICKY: How was the weather?
PAOLO: Both good and bad. The weather can change very quickly
in the mountains. Some days were sunny and warm – perfect
for hiking – but other days were cold and very wet. I still
loved the trip!
