CASE STUDY GUIDELINES (INDIVIDUAL)

Make a study of two families in relation to their vulnerability to disasters:


 Select two families you know that have opposite socio-economic statuses (one is rich,
and the other one is poor). Set separate appointments in each family for an interview.
 Before the interview, observe the family’s living conditions. Answer the questions on
physical setting on p. 20.With the family’s condition , take pictures of the house, family
members and its surrounding.
 Using BOX 1 on pages 20-21 to interview the parents
 After the interview, write a report using the outline on p. 22
 Compile the case study of all members in the group and have it soft-bound(the case
study presented will served as 2nd Quarter Exam)

HAZARD ANALYSIS GUIDELINES (GROUP)


With your respective groupmates, do a hazard analysis of Davao Doctors College Inc., Cad
Bldg. using FACTOR ANALYSIS only(you may refer on Table 1.3 p. 27 and Table 1.4 p. 28-29
for sample analysis). Then, each group is also task to create an EVACUATION PLAN in your
assigned floor. (you may refer some samples on the internet)
Prepare a written report and a visual material of the output. Attach the written report and
the evacuation plan on the compiled case study, while the visual material(for FACTOR
ANALYSIS) will be presented before the end of the 2nd Quarter.
