A. Ms. Divine Faith B.Cariño – Calumpit National High School, Grade 11

a. How do you teach reading?

We teach reading in the way that we make use of different reading materials for
each subject. The text are contextualized and applied.

b. What are your strategies in teaching?

It depends on the level of the students; first we conduct a Diagnostic Test to know
the strengths and weaknesses of the students. The type of the strategy that we use

B. Ms Liezel G. Torres – Calumpit National High School, Grade 11

a. How do you teach reading?

I teach reading using localized materials. The learners nowadays are enjoying the
basic reading by means of fun and localized materials that are readily available to
them. Fun way activities are also encouraged.

b. What are your strategies in teaching?

Usually I use Popcorn reading, and Re-quest. The students find it interesting when
they feel surprise; they will be attentive in the class. Re-quest is where the
students read the text and let them ask questions.

c. Instructional Materials

We use ICT aided materials in order to address the students who are visual and
auditory learners. We use variety of maps and of course diagram.
