ii. complete a double bubble map on similarities and differences in the
wedding rituals and customs

Activities: 1. Teacher talks about her own wedding custom and rituals
2. Students read a text about the customs and rituals of a Malay
and Indian wedding
3. Students list down customs and rituals they know or observed
and share with shoulder partner
4. Complete a double-bubble map show similarities and differences
5. Students work in groups of four to report information on the
similarities and differences using correct connectors
6. Teacher asks a few students to name some of the rituals and customs of
a wedding they have learned

i. initiate, persuade, invite, disagree, decline, refute, provide information
ii. respond to the situation given by writing the required response.
Activities: 1. Teacher writes 3 language forms on the board:
To suggest, to decline and to persuade
2. Students give response for each of the form
3. Students practise the task with shoulder partner on page 5 in
the textbook
4. Student A gives the cue, student B gives the appropriate
response.
5. Students write down the requirement response in exercise book.
