Introduction  
This  document  describes  from  a  high  level  how  to  setup  the  Oracle  HCM  system  to  
integrate  with  Accu-­‐Time  Systems  TimeCom  Environment.  
The  detailed  tasks  required  are  the  following:  
-­‐ Define  the  supported  ATS  time  events  
-­‐ Map  the  ATS  time  events  to  Oracle  time  events  
-­‐ Define  the  time  event  sets.

System  overview  
The  ATS  system  captures  time  events  at  the  terminals,  each  time  event  is  associated  
with  a  specific  individual  and  possibly  with  the  specific  jobs  these  individuals  can  
perform.    
 
All  time  events,  from  all  terminals  are  communicated  to  the  TimeCom  middleware,  
processed;  and  stored  in  a  database.  Then  the  data  is  communicated  to  Oracle  HCM  
via  a  REST  API.  
 

 
The  ATS  TimeCom  solution  receives  from  Oracle  HMC  employee  information  and  
pushes  that  to  the  terminals.  
 
The  ATS  TimeCom  solution  also  manages  biometric  templates  as  they  are  captured  
at  the  terminals  and  send  up  to  the  middleware.  
 

Separation  of  duty:  

TimeCom  does  not  calculate  time  types.  Overtime  and  standard  time  are  calculated  
by  the  Oracle  Time  and  Labor  system,  which  needs  to  be  configured  according  to  
local  rules  and  policies.  
ATS  does  not  provide  any  guidelines  for  this  type  of  calculations,  as  they  are  
dependent  on  many  local  factors  and  outside  of  ATS’s  area  of  responsibility  and  
expertise.  

Setup  
Setting  up  the  integration  between  Oracle  HCM  Time  and  Labor  and  the  ATS  
TimeCom  consists  of  four  simple  steps,  the  details  of  which  can  be  provided  by  ATS  
upon  request.
