PROJECT- F.I.R.S.T. to save LIFE


(Functions In Rescue Scenario Training)

PROJECT DESIGN

I- GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
To provide a broader platform for youth functions and develop their
capabilities in Basic Life Support during untoward incidents or emergencies and
disasters;
To strengthen their involvement in the delivery of a basic life support
services.

II- SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:


Promote service, solidarity, camaraderie and leadership among TNHS Student
Volunteers;
Impart self-reliance and resourcefulness through survival skills;
Strengthens the system of communication among students;
Forge cross TNHS-students friendship towards a long lasting working
relationship;
Develop youth leaders to become catalyst in the stewardship of life and
environment.

III- OVERVIEW:
According to Republic Act 10871- (An Act Requiring Basic Education Students
To Undergo Age-Appropriate Basic Life Support Training) Sec. 3. Basic Life Support
for Basic Education Students. - It shall be the duty of all public and private basic
education schools operating nationwide to provide their students with basic life
support training through the use of psychomotor training in an age-appropriate
manner. The instruction shall include programs which have been developed by the
Philippine Red Cross using nationally-recognized, evidence-based guidelines for
emergency cardiovascular care, and psychomotor training, to support the
instruction. As far as practicable, basic education schools shall incorporate basic life
support training as part of the schools' comprehensive health and physical education
curriculum. One of the Core subjects in the General Academic Strand is the Disaster
Readiness and Risk Reduction enables the students enlightened their knowledge in
the different disasters specially in the Philippines With this the Senior High School
students in Trento National High School especially the General Academic Strand
were trained to know their functions and will be utilized in times of the untoward
incidents or disasters may happened.
This Project L.I.F.E.S was developed so that will enjoy the spirit of
Volunteerism and enrich of teamwork experience through outdoor and indoor
search and rescue activities, leadership enhancement sessions, and opinion-sharing
over vital search and rescue issues.
