CHAPTER I

THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING

This chapter presents the introduction, statement of the problem, significance of the study

and the scope and delimitation in the study.

Introduction

Education has a big role in student’s life. The importance of education is universally

recognized (Randall,1994). Education gives knowledge and changes an individual into

something better. The quality of education depends upon the teaching learning skill of teacher,

student’s learning capacity and their staying hour at school. The choice of university in college is

one of the important decision that students consider. Life is made up of infinite amount of

choices. Most decisions, such as what a person will be doing for the whole day, are small and

only slightly impactful, but it is the big decisions− the ones that can change a person’s life

forever− that are tough to make. Selecting a university is never an easy process or decision to

make. According to Boyer (1987), “in choosing a college, one of life’s major decisions is being

made. A lot of time, money, and effort will be involved. The shape and quality of the student’s

life may rest on the outcome” (p. 287). The choice of university of the students plays a great role

in the preparation for college.

Graduating students from secondary schools may not have solid decision on where to go

in college and what degree program they may possibly take. They are planning to enter college

without a clear idea of what career to pursue for their future (Ramirez &Dizon, 2014) and which

university to attend to. They may sometimes consider the people and the information they

received within their environment. There are several factors that may affect their decisions on
their future plans in college. This study aims to know the factors affects student’s choice of

university and how do these factors influence the decision of students.

Statement of the Problem

This research sought to answers to the following questions:

1. How many respondents are already decided on which course they will take in college?

2. What are their preferred schools in college?

3. To what extent do environmental factors affect Grade 12 students in selecting a school/

university they will enrolled in for college?

Significance of the Study

The findings of this study will be a great benefit and relevant to the following:

Students. Through this study, it will help them to understand the factors that will affect

them in choosing the university in college and be able to guide them to decide properly on what

the students will choose.

Teachers. The information gathered disclose the possibilities that the teachers would be

able to give appropriate recommendations regarding the student’s abilities. They are also one of

the important factors in the realization of a student’s goals and visions.

Administrators. This study would serve as a reading that will enable them to work with

the teachers in helping the students to choose the university they are going. It will also help them

in conducting workshops and seminars in alignment with decision making.


Parents. This research aims to help the parents understand their child’s endeavor. Parents

will be informed on the great role they will play in fostering decision making toward the

student’s future and in setting their goal.

Future Researchers. This study can be used as a guide who have akin investigations. In

addition, they can get information from this study through its results and findings. This study is

open for their potential contributions for its development.

Scope and Delimitations

This study limits its coverage on the Grade 12 General Academic Strand

(GAS) students in National College of business and Arts-Fairview during the academic year of

2018-2019. The researcher choose the Grade 12 (GAS) students because they are more capable

on the study that the researcher was conducted. Some of General Academic Strand (GAS)

students are undecided on the course, therefore it has a possibility that they are also undecided on

the school that they will inquire and apply. The researchers choose the National College of

Business and Arts (NCBA) because they are more familiar on the environment of the school. Its

main focus is knowing the factors affects students in choosing schools/universities in college.
CHAPTER III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the methods and the materials used by the researchers in the study.

Research Design

The researchers employed a descriptive type of non-experimental research design that

depicts a certain characteristics of a population or phenomena that is being studied. It examines

those data coming from the variables or respondent’s answer that will be able for the researchers

to gain an understanding on the case behind.

A research design serves as the structure of framework of a study or a research paper.

The research design that the researchers used is non-experimental research design. The non-

experimental research design focuses only in describing a certain phenomenon that refers to the

present situation by this time. Also, it does not control or manipulate its variable.

Description of the Respondents

The participants in this study were the Grade 12 General Academic Strand students of

National College of Business and Arts-Fairview and were enrolled for the academic year 2018-

2019. The Grade 12 General Academic Strand were composed of two sections: Brazil and

Canada. Of these numbers, 39 students were chosen from GAS 12- Brazil and 33 students from

GAS 12- Canada with a total of 70 respondents.


Sampling Technique

The researchers employed a purposive sampling as the research sampling technique

wherein Grade 12 General Academic Strand students were chosen as respondents. The General

Academic Strand is designed for students who are still undecided on their plans for tertiary

education that is why the researchers perceived that they are the qualified participants since the

study is about the factors affecting the choice of university of Senior High School for college.

Purposive sampling is a non-probability sample that is selected based on characteristics

of a population and the objective of the study (Bernard et al.1986). The goal of purposive

sampling is to select units from a population to create a sample with the intention of making

generalizations of statistical inferences from the sample to the population of interest.

Research Instruments

For this study, the survey questionnaire instrument was used to achieve the main

objective if this study. A self- administered questionnaires was distributed to the Grade 12

General Academic Strand students to assess their choice of university in college. In addition, this

also aims to evaluate what are the factors that affect the students.

The questionnaire contains primary information− name and section. It also contains

questions that are related to the factors affecting the choice of university in college. The

questionnaire was comprised of 27 items which are classified into 6 categories. The first is the

Parents (5 items), Location (5 items), Influence of friends and relatives (5 items), Popularity (5

items), Financial Status (3 items) and Personal Preference (4 items), all of this sections contains
question how the parents, location, influence of friends and relatives, popularity, financial status,

and personal preferences. The questions structured using the five point Likert scale (Strongly

Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree).

Statistical Treatment

Since the study was quantitative in nature, the researchers used descriptive analysis

which summarizes the data as a graph or summary statistics. The data gathered from the

responses of Grade 12 General Academic Strand students in the survey were statistically

analyzed using the following tools:

A. Frequency Distribution and Percentage formula

Used to determine the number of respondents who are decided on what school/university

they plan to enroll and their preferred school. Frequency distribution is a systematic

arrangement of numeric values from lowest to highest or highest to lowest (Del Rosario,

2005).

B. Weighted Mean

Used to calculate the level of agreement of the respondents in the factors of selecting

school/ university.

The mean values were interpreted based on the guide presented below:

The verbal interpretation of the mean was inferred to get the level of affectedness of the

respondents’ in factors of choosing their university in college.

CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the gathered data and information using the research instruments.

This chapter also shows the analysis of the data based on statistical tools.

Preferred University of Students

The following tables below shows the number of Grade 12 General Academic Strand

students who are already decided on their school/ university for college and their preference of

university to enroll for college.

Table 1 shows the result of the survey answered by the respondents. It is based on

whether they are already decided on the university they will enrolled in for college.

Based on the table, 56.9 percent of the students being surveyed are already decided on the

university to enroll in for college. On the other hand, 43.1 percent of the students are still

undecided for the school in their tertiary education.


Table 2 displays the result of the survey that was answered by the respondents. This is

based on the preferred university of Grade 12 General Academic Strand students who are already

decided on where to enroll for college.

Based on the table presented above 7 or 17.07 percent are decided to enroll in Far Eastern

University (FEU), 6 or 14.63 percent are in University of the Philippines (UP) and Polytechnic

University of the Philippines (PUP), 5 or 12.20 percent in Philippine Normal University (PNU)

and University of Santo Tomas (UST), 3 or 7.32 percent in Lyceum of the Philippines University

(LPU), 2 or 4.88 percent in Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) and New Era University

(NEU) and 1 or 2.44 percent in Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), Philippine

Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), College of Arts and Technology (CIIT), Angeles

University Foundation (AUF), and Metro Manila College (MMC).


Far Eastern University (FEU) ranked first with the most frequent votes as their preferred

university. It has been recognized as one of the leading universities in the Philippines. The first

Accountancy and Business school for Filipinos, through the years it has expanded its courses

offering to Arts and Sciences, Architecture and Fine Arts, Education, Engineering and Computer

Studies, Law and Medicine. FEU is proud of its notable alumni who have been successful key

government officials like Corazon Aquino and Pantaleon Alvarez, influential businessmen like

Henry Sy and Lucio Tan, famous media personalities like Vice Ganda, Ai-ai Delas Alas, Maja

Salvador and athletes like Arwind Santos and Rachel Anne Daquis.

Far Eastern University, Manila finished as the third best among Top Performing Schools in the

March 2018 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination, according to results from the

Professional Regulation Commission. FEU Manila scored a 97.48% rating with 155 Tamaraws

out of 159 hurdling the board.

University of the Philippines (UP) ranked second as the student’s preferred university. It

is a state university system in the Philippines, and is the country’s national university. UP, as a

whole, is often cited as the Philippines' top university. As of 2012, 7 Philippine Presidents,

13 Chief Justices of the Philippine Supreme Court, 36 National Scientists and 40 National Artists

of the Philippines have been affiliated with UP.UP has the most National Centers of Excellence

and Development among higher education institutions in the country, and is one of the only three

schools in Asia that have received institutional recognition in the Ramon Magsaysay Awards. It

is famous for having alumni who have been successful key government official like Ferdinand

Marcos, Ramon Magsaysay, Benigno Aquino Jr., journalist like Atom Araullo, judge and lawyer

like Cecilia Muñoz- Palma, Miriam Defensor- Santiago and Vicente Abad- Santos, famous

celebrities like Agot Isidro, Kim Atienza, Christian Bautista and Eugene Domingo.
Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) also ranked second along with University of the

Philippines (UP). In 2013, PUP ranked 300+ in the QS Asia University Rankings.[4] In the same

year, the QS World University Rankings Country File on the Philippines also placed PUP third

in Life Science and Medicine, fifth in Natural Science (Chemistry), fourth in Economics and

Econometrics, and fifth in Communication and Media Studies. A 2018 survey of 503 JobStreet

employers ranked PUP as the top choice of employers in general, the top choice in the business

process outsourcing (BPO) industry, and the second choice in the Manufacturing, IT, and

Banking industries. PUP is proud of its notable alumni like Richard Gomez, Eddie Villanueva,

and Ted Failon.

On the other hand, Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), Philippines Merchant

Maine Academy (PMMA), College of Arts and Technology (CIT), Angeles University

Foundation(AFU), and Metro Manila College(MMC) those universities got a lowest frequency

as their preferred university/school. Technological Institute of the Philippines(TIP) is a private

educational they offers undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, business, maritime,

education, information technology, arts and mathematics In 2003, Technological Institute of the

Philippines engineering programs gained accreditation from the US-based ABET, the global gold

standard in engineering and computing education accreditation Philippine Merchant Marine

Academy(PMMA) is the only premier state maritime\institution in the Philippine. PMMA offers

merchant marine related degree courses as well as short term training and re-training of marine

officers and ratings seamen, College of Art and Technology(CIIT)is one of the few local schools

that Bachelor of Arts in multimedia arts, with focus either on Graphic Design, 3D Visualization

of Video and Motion Graphics. Angeles Universities Foundation(AUF) is a non-stock, non-profit

educational institution and it is the only university in Pampanga given the “Technologist”
certification for its program in Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering. Metro Manila

College(MMC) is formerly known as Novaliches Academy, is a private educational.MMC

officers a comprehensive K-12 basic education program as well as higher education programs in

the field of education, criminology and commerce. The school has already produced passers In

the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers(BLEPT). They got a lower

frequency because of the respondent choice of course. It can affect the choice of the school of the

respondents because of the courses that school/university offered.

Factors that Affect the Student’s Choice

The following tables below shows the factors affecting the choice of university of Grade

12 General Academic Strand students in terms of parents, location, influence of friends and

relatives, popularity, financial status and personal preferences.

Table 3 displays the parents as one of the factors that affect the student’s choice.

The table shows that the highest mean score is 3.88, said that the parents believe that

graduating from good school will improve chances of favorable employment. Followed by 3.41

mean score which said that the parents occupational status, 3.22 mean score which said that the

parents dream school before and they want you to study there to fulfill that dream, 2.44 mean

score which said that the parents are former students/alumni of the school. Lastly, the lowest

mean score is 2.27 which said that the parents are working at a school/university. The results

reveal that the respondents are moderately affected in choosing school/university when their

parents believe that graduating from good school will improve chances of favorable

employment. The role of parents in the college selection process is complex and not disputed;

parents wield significant power. Other individuals influence students but parents appear to be the

most influential (Murphy & Puffet). The parents are most influential in selecting the

school/university of the students because they are the one who provide their needs. Students

noted that financial support from parents or family might limit the choice of the university, as

their financial sponsors may influence them to study in certain destinations or study programs

(Kusumawati et al. 2010). The influence of parents is also highlighted in a study by Aguado,

Laguador and Deligero (2015) whose results showed that because parents are the financiers of

their children’s education, they have a significant influence on where their children go for higher

education. Walberg’s (2007) Theory of Market Choice is about parents deciding where their

children should go to school. Parents may take their children to schools where their values and

ideals are compatible. By choosing a school with compatible values and a ideals parents would

be assured their children are receiving a quality education and a reinforcement of the same

values being taught in the home.


Table 4 displays the location as one of the factors affecting student’s choice

The table shows that the highest mean score is 3.70, said that the transportation is

accessible and travelling hours is manageable. Followed by 3.69 mean score which said that the

nearest university where the student’s course is offered, 3.68 mean score which said that the way

to that school/university is familiar, 3.20 mean score which said that the school/university

distance from the residency. Lastly, the lowest mean score is 2.98 which said that the

school/university is near at the dormitory that the student’s planned to rent. The results reveal

that the respondents are affected in choosing school/university location when the transportation

is accessible and travelling hours is manageable. Ihlanfeldt (1980) concluded that students whose

parents did not attend college were likely to choose a college close to home. The students

consider the transportation and travelling hours because location affects their time in studying

instead of they are reviewing or doing anything that is related in their academic performance the

time consumed in traveling.


Table 5 displays the influence of friends and relatives as the factors that affects student’s

choice of university.

The table indicates that the highest mean of 3.56 falls under statement 2 which says

classmate and close friends wants to study in that school/university while the lowest mean of

2.91 falls under favorite idol’s endorsement of the school. According toFletcher (2012), peers’

preferences create a social norm, which is called “acceptable choice” among high school

students. This means that peers might constrain university options of an individual. Classmates

and close friends’ influence is the most factor that can affect the capability of the students to

choose the university on their college. The effectiveness of the recommendation of friend or

close friends was based on the recommendation rather than actual adoption. This is why senior

students with strong academic background were considered more trustworthy and seems to

possess the required expertise to evaluate the university and programs. These recommendations

from associative reference groups i.e., students perceived to be similar to their own are more
effective as compared to other students conforming the previous finding (Berger and Heath,

2007).

Table 6 shows the popularity as one of the factors that affects student’s choice of

university in college.

The table shows that graduating from a prestige school/ university adds good background

has the highest mean score of 4.13 followed by statement 5 which says that the chosen university

is one of the prestigious school with a mean of 4.04. Lastly, statement 3 got the lowest mean

score of 3.50 which states that the respondents get least affected in their decision to apply to a

university that is famous for having a notable alumni. The results reveals that the respondents get

affected the most when they are graduating from a prestige school/ university adds good

background. The one who comes from a prestige school can get a higher chance of easily getting

a job on a company in the future. Strasser et al. (2002) say that job availability, employment

opportunity, and job requirements are very important for students. A similar situation was found

in Australia (Soutar and Turner, 2002) and in Turkey (Tatar and Oktay, 2006). Veloutsou et al.
(2004) surveyed high school seniors in Scotland, Northern Ireland and England. They found that

job placement of graduates to be one of the most important determinants in their university

choice.Getting into one of those top departments as a graduate students is therefore vital for a

real chance at faculty career, this emphasis also likely reinforces the importance of collegiate

prestige because wealthy, prestigious colleges probably provide more such opportunities than

those of lesser rank and resources (Posselt, 2016). In a small number of exceptional cases, it

appears do Ph.D. researchers without elite academic pedigrees end up in full-fledge faculty jobs

at research universities (Benderly, 2016).

Table 7 presents the financial status as one of the factors the affects the student’s choice

of school/ university in their tertiary education.

Based on the table, the highest mean score of 3.76 falls under tuition fees of school/

university while supported by the government by the free tuition fees and able to afford the in-

state tuition out of pocket with a few scholarships tied with the mean score of 3.56. It can be

obtained from the result that students get affected when it comes to the factor of financial status.

Venti and Wise (1982), Savoca (1990) and Weiler (1994) found that family income has a

positive effect on the probability of a student applying to college. Other studies have suggested
that family income may affect the types of institutions chosen by students.Yusof (2008) found

that financial assistance offered by university as one of the four very important attributes

expected from a particular higher education institution of choice. Hoyt and Brown (2003) claim

that financial aid is a considerable factor that influences student choice of a university. Financial

aid-scholarship, loans or grants are very important for students (Hoyt and Brown, 2003). Foskett

et al. (2006) say that availability of financial aid exerts a significant influence on students’ choice

of a higher education institution.

Table 8 shows the personal preference as one of the factors that affects student’s choice

of university in college.

Based from the results on the table, the highest factor of student’s personal preference

with a mean score of 4.29 falls under statement 1 which says that the dream school where their

preferred course is offered greatly affect the choice of university in college. Universally,

availability of a desired course is the most important for students when selecting a university

(Price et al., 2003). Followed by the field of school has a good ambiance and spacious with the

mean score of 4.22 and School/University is well-facilitated and fully equipped with the mean
score of 4.16, it can be inferred that the facilities on offer to students and the state of the school

grounds are also another strong influence on personal preferences of students when it comes to

the choice of university. Generally speaking, school buildings are favored on a well located,

accessible and appealing site. This include the facilities and surrounding environment provided

for students to concentrate, learn and relax. The significance in providing profound learning

culture in a school are of paramount importance to many students. In Malaysia, the most

important criteria for student selection of university included academic quality, facilities, campus

surroundings, and personal characteristics (Sidin, Hussin, S. & Soon, T., 2003). Lastly, the

lowest mean score of 3.86 fall under statement 3 which says that students get affected with the

quality of education. Price, Matzdorf, Smith, and Agahi (2003) conducted faceto-face interviews

with 87 students from four different universities in England. They emphasized the quality of

education, academic prestige, availability of major, library, and information technology facilities

as determinants for university choice.


CHAPTER V

SUMMARY FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary of findings from the gathered, analyzed and

interpreted data. The conclusion drawn and the recommendation made as an outgrowth of this

study.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The following are salient findings summarized from the results of the gathered data.

1. Summary of the respondents according to the number of decided and undecided.

1.1 In terms of Student’s Decision on the University they will Enrolled in for College, 41

or 56.9 percent out of 72 respondents are already decided on the university to enroll

in college. On the other hand, 31 or 43.1 percent are still undecided.

2. Summary of the respondents according to their preferred university.

2.1 In terms of the Preferred University of the students, 7 or 17.07 percent out of 41

respondents that are already decided chose the Far Eastern University (FEU), 6 or

14.63 percent chose University of the Philippines (UP) and Polytechnic University of

the Philippines (PUP), 5 or 12.20 percent chose Philippine Normal University

(PNU), 2 or 4.88 percent chose Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) and

New Era University (NEU) and 1 or 2.44 percent chose Technological Institute of

3. Summary of the factors that affect student’s choice of university.

3.1 Factors affecting student’s choice in terms of Parents got an overall weighted mean

of 3.04 which has an interpretation of moderately affected. Statement 1.1 which

states their parents are former students/alumni of the school got a weighted mean of

2.44 with the remarks not affected. While Statement 1.2 which states that it is their

parent’s dream school before and they want their child to study there to fulfill the

dream got a weighted mean of 3.22 with the remarks of moderately affected.

Statement 1.3 wherein the occupational status of their parents got a mean of 3.41

with the remarks of affected. Likewise, Statement 1.4 which indicates that the

parents of the students believe that graduating from good school will improve

chances of favorable employment with a mean of 3.88 and a remark of affected.

Lastly, Statement 1.5 wherein parents are working at a school/university got a mean

of 2.27 and a remark of not affected.

3.2 Factors affecting student’s choice in terms of Location got an overall mean of 3.45

interpreted as affected. Statement 2.1 which asserts distance of the school/university

from the university has a mean of 3.20 and a remark of not affected. Statement 2.2

where the transportation is accessible and travelling hours is manageable has a

weighted mean of 3.70 and Statement 2.3 nearest university where the desired course

is offered with a weighted mean of 3.69 are both interpreted as affected. Also,

Statement 2.4 which states that student’s familiarity on the way to the school/

university got a mean of 3.68 with a remark of affected. Meanwhile, Statement 2.5

which asserts near at the dormitory that I planned to rent with a mean of 2.98 has

interpretation of moderately affected.


3.3 Factors affecting student’s choice in terms of Influence of Friends and Relatives got

an overall weighted mean with a verbal interpretation of moderately affected.

Statement 3.1 which asserts that family members and relatives are currently enrolled/

alumni of the school/university has a mean of 3.08 and a verbal interpretation of

moderately affected. Statement 3.2 which states that classmates and close friends

wants to study in that school/university with a mean of 3.56 is interpreted as affected.

Statement 3.3 states teacher’s recommendation of the school got a mean of 2.97 and

is interpreted moderately affected. While Statement 3.4 which indicates the

suggestion of the student’s relatives has a mean of 3.48 and a remark of affected.

Lastly, Statement 3.5 wherein student’s favorite idol’s endorsement of the school got

a weighted mean of 2.91 and a remark of moderately affected.

3.4 Factors affecting student’s choice in terms of popularity got an overall mean of 3.83

with a verbal interpretation of affected. Statement 4.1 which states graduating from a

prestige university adds good background has a weighted mean of 4.13 and a remark

of affected. Statement 4.2 states proven ability to produce home board topnotchers

and board exam passers got a mean of 3.80 with an interpretation of affected. Also in

Statement 4.3 which states famous for having notable alumni has a mean of 3.50 got

verbal interpretation as affected. Statement 4.4 which asserts the school/university

won many awards in competing around the world has a mean of 3.70 is also

interpreted as affected. Lastly, Statement 4.5 which states one of the prestigious

school got a weighted mean of 4.04 and interpreted as affected.

3.5 Factors affecting student’s choice in terms of financial status got an overall mean of

3.62 with a verbal interpretation of affected. Statement 5.1 which states the tuition
fees of school/ university has a weighted mean of 3.76 and an interpretation of

affected. Also, Statement 5.2 which asserts supported by the government by the free

tuition fees and Statement 5.3 able to afford the in-state tuition out of pocket with a

few scholarships both has a weighted mean of 3.56 and a remark of affected.

3.6 Factors affecting student’s choice in terms of personal preferences got the highest

overall mean of 4.13 and verbal interpretation of affected. Statement 6.1 which states

dream school and student’s preferred course is offered has a mean of 4.29 with an

interpretation of strongly affected. Meanwhile, Statement 6.2 which asserts

school/university is well-facilitated and fully equipped has a weighted mean of 4.16

and a remark of affected. Statement 6.3 which indicates the quality of education got a

weighed mean of 3.86 and a remark of affected. Lastly, Statement 6.4 which states

the field of school has a good ambiance and spacious has a mean of 4.22 and a verbal

interpretation of strongly affected.

CONCLUSIONS

Majority of the respondents are decided on the school/university they will enrolled in

college. On the other hand, some of the respondents are still not decided. The respondents who

are already decided indicated the school/university. Based from the result, majority of the

respondents are going in Far Eastern University (FEU).Next to that is University of the

Philippines (UP) and Polytechnic University of the Philippines who got tied in the list. The

Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), Philippine Merchant Marine Academy

(PMMA), College of Arts and Technology (CIIT), Angeles University Foundation (AUF), and
Metro Manila College (MMC) are those universities/schools who got a lowest frequency as the

student’s preferred university.

The factors that affects students in choosing schools/university are: Parent’s decision,

Location of the school, Influence of friends and relatives, Popularity of the school, Financial

status and Personal preferences of the respondents. The decision of the parents were found to be

moderately affecting student’s choice. Also, in terms of influence of friends and relatives

students gets moderately affected. Meanwhile, the location of the school and its popularity

makes the students affected. The financial status and personal preference of the respondents were

also found to be one of the factors that makes them affected in choosing their desired university.

The results shows that respondents are affected and moderately affected in different factors in

choosing school/university in college.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on the findings and conclusions of the study, the following are thereby

recommended:

The Commission on Higher Education may create a subject which provides the learning

about the Facilities, Equipment and the Quality of Education of each schools.

School administrators may post posters about every schools and additional information

about the school like, the day that it is been created, the founder, and especially the achievements

of the schools.
Teachers may promote and guide the students when choosing their school for college.

They may discuss strength and weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages, the struggles that the

school encounter, the people who become popular after graduating on the school.

Further research can be carried out to a bigger population to generalize overall conclusion

of choosing school or university for college of Grade 12 GAS students.

Further research can be done to Senior High school students to have comprehensive

picture of the problem.
