INTRODUCTION TO THE PLAN

Humans were not meant to live alone. They are social creatures. From the early pre-
historic time, man has lived along with other men. There is a saying for that after all, about
man’s aversion to loneliness. It goes “No Man Is an Island” wherein man has a societal
personality; he cannot stand or lived alone. He needs the company of other people. And
because of that, we should all practice solidarity for us to be able to maintain peace and unity
in our community.

Solidarity is one of the factors that a community needed the most in order to prevent fight,
riot, and misunderstanding in one’s community. Some people nowadays are becoming
selfish, thinking for their own self and not minding others. Some are not even socializing
with others or not taking friends. All people must attain the belongingness that they should
feel in a group or community. And because of this, this community action plan promoting
solidarity is the main goal to be achieved.

To have more ideas to develop the plan, with the help of our teacher giving guides on
doing this, I conduct an interview to the people in our community and schoolmates. The
information from them is a great help to develop the plan. Some gave their opinion on what is
solidarity, what is the effect of lack of solidarity and what can we do to promote solidarity
and because of their cooperation, a plan was developed for promoting solidarity with also the
help of Brgy. Officials and other influential people from all the parts of the community like
from churches.

To implement this plan smoothly, the help of Brgy. Captain is badly needed, she will be
the one in-charge in managing this with also the help of other Brgy. Officials. As a student
and simple citizen, I’ll participate no matter what it takes because being one of them will
show them that you can practice solidarity even in simple ways. Even helping the
Sangguniang Kabataan is one way to unity and show acceptance to your fellow human being

It is important to emphasize that the community members should be the main actors in
preparing this community action plan regarding promoting solidarity. The advantages of this
is their strong participation will motivate everyone because the solution for problems comes
from the community itself and hence considers primarily their need and priorities. Guarantee
that all relevant groups participate in the activities particularly the women and who needed it
the most.
