ANT REPELLANT

- Mam Sandy ask ko lang what concoction or natural plant can i use to address our problem w/
ants? a lot of them are making nest under our calamansi plants causing some of them to die. a
friend suggested to use malathion but i wanted to use natural ways. I would greatly appreciate
any suggestion from you or from the group.

- This might be not all natural, use ant traps. This targets the queen of the colony.only a
small amount is needed to be applied.

- I sprinkled wood ash around my lemon tree and they disappeared.

- 1. try mo a fermented concoction of cigarette butts (source of nicotin) and garlic vines. ferment
with water 100 gm cig butts and 100 gms chopped garlic vines (leaves, stems and flowers) and
about 500ml water. ferment for 48 hours. drain and spray the concoction at ur plant @ 1:1
dilution with water. it's a good cockroach repellant too. smell it and it will repel you too ;)..
hehe. Joke aside, this is a potent insecticide. for storing, dip some chalk sticks and let them
dry. keep in store. u may use them like the commercial chalk sticks against ants and roaches..

2. a spray of borax 50 gms per backpack sprayer might also help. borax is a chemical but it is
food additive too..
