Job Responsibilities:

 Execution of the project in order to produce all work safety with quality, schedule incompliance with
contractual terms & conditions, as well as Company Policies.
 Develop schedules, expedite vendor document deliverables and setting priorities to support achieve
project progress engineering and construction, by implementing world class expediting / procurement
processes.
 To review / comment mechanical design (static and rotary equipment), FEA, stress calculations, weld
maps, isometrics, layout plan, equipment general arrangement, PFDs / P&IDs, battery limits, pipe
supports, lifting frames, platforms, hydraulic and vibration calculations for nozzles, pressure parts /
pipelines, review wall thickness calculations, hot tap, valve specification data sheets, piping / valve
classes, structure connection calculations (Bolts, Welds) etc. prepared by client and perform hand
calculations
 To understand and develop scope of work for the project, identifying the deliverables, preparation of
Cost-Time-Resource for the project.
 To develop Design Basis Scoping Paper (DBSP), Project Proposal, Project Execution Plan, conduct Peer
Review meetings and review lesson learned.

 To prepare weekly, monthly reports (MIS) and three months look ahead activities schedule.
 To bring all elements of a project together; make certain that all elements proceed satisfactorily on
schedule and within the budget allowed; and initiate corrective actions as required.
 To review cost estimates and recommendations from vendors, consultants and licensors.
 To recommend new installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization
within broad fields of endeavor.

for eliminating, non-value adding steps for bringing improvement in the process for project.
 Attend source inspections to ensure quality of products and service are accepted in timely as per project
plan.
 Monitor & evaluate contractor’s supplier inspection activities to ensure inspection effectiveness in
determining product compliance to the Client requirements.
 To coordinate activities during Execution phase (detail design, procurement, construction etc.), review
the work of engineers; check that reports are written according to established methods of good report
presentation; take recommendations for further study or report changes; approve reports for transmittal
to supervisors; develop scope and description of technology items; and lead the implementation and
operation of developed solutions in the field.
 Attending the Pre-Inspection Meetings, kick off meetings, periodic internal audits & Supplier audits,
 Liaise with Procurement Department and Engineering Department to arrange the Vendor Inspections.
 Initiate Inspection Request and co-ordinate with CLIENT to witness the inspection activities and obtain
their approval to proceed for inspection.
 Update, Maintain & Submit VENDOR ACTIVITY MONITORING LOG, VENDOR INSPECTION
STATUS, TRACKING REGISTER, NCR Register & Audit log to Project Manager & QA/QC Manager.
 Maintenance of Calibration records of various measuring instruments and updating of record
periodically.
 Evaluating Corrosion & Calculating Remaining Life & Retiring Thickness according to the Client
Requirements.
 Evaluating and reporting external pitting on the pipelines as per client recommended practice.
 Review of Material Certificates/Batch Certificates to check compliance with project specifications,
meeting the required Mechanical/Physical/Chemical Composition values.
 Review of all Paints & Coating Specification, Manufacture’s data sheet, Painting Crew personnel
Approvals, Equipment calibration Certificates, Safety Standards documents.
 Conducting Training Programs and qualification test for Welders, Crew Supervisors, Blasters and
Painters.
 Reviewing the Welders, Crew Supervisors and Coating Applicators holding valid certification.

 Preparing procedures for weld repair joints, material handling, cleaning & flushing, Hydro test & lay-up,
Torque testing of flanged connections etc.
 Ensure that Welders are totally adapted to the approved Weld Procedure Specifications, relevant to the
work being done.
 Line checking in accordance with the Isometric/P&ID and generating punch list.

 Material wall thickness calculations, valve specification data sheets, line lists, hot tap, tie-in schedule,
piping / valve classes, structure connection calculations (Bolts, Welds)
 Monitoring repair rate for welders and arranging training and retest for rejected welders.
 Conducting the Tool Box Talk for the welders.
 Checking and Reviewing the test package documents (history sheets/traceability) that data’s contained
herein are accurate and complete prior to any testing.
 Test package inspections and loop clearance for pressure testing and coordinating test activities.
 Arranging and witnessing of hydrostatic test and pneumatic test.
 Evaluating the job cards & the Piping Pressure Test Packages.
 Assessing weather conditions prior to and during the process of painting activities.
 Assess the condition of the substrate prior to blast cleaning and painting activities.
 Check and report the existence of slivers or rouge peaks, laminations, and other undesirable surface
conditions prior to coating applications.
 Initiated and witnessed corrective and preventive actions being carried out.
 Assessed the degree of cleanliness and surface profile achieved after surface preparation and check
conformance to specification.
 Assessed the preparation and mixing of multi-component paints system, whilst ensuring that induction
time, pot-life and manufacturer’s recommended procedure was observed.
 Monitor and assessed the measurement of wet film and dry film thickness for each coatings and initiate
corrective actions on potential defects until conformance to specification was achieved.
 Examine the Coating Defects and suggests the remedial action.
 Ensuring that all works are correctly prepared and documented prior to any inspection being undertaken
and conduct all in process inspection for compliance.
 Recording the non-conformances observed during surveillance inspection either by LOG/NCR and
suggestion of remedial actions.
 Ensure that scheduled audits of contractor & vendor conducted and audit findings closure happening in
timely manner.
 Coordination with project teams and project managers, site surveys, estimation/proposals support too.
 Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating/communicating in various issues that affect the
mechanical engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work.
 Interpreting clients’ requirements, identifying and addressing design parameters and engineering
problems and ensuring solutions are implemented.
 Evaluating, organizing and prioritizing work within the overall project schedule.
 Short listing vendors and contractors, have technical discussions and negotiations to develop budgetary /
final cost and offer.
