EXERCISE 1:

Business scenario:
You want to access a standard SAP Business ByDesign Report via MS-Excel AddIn.

Exercise goals:
In this exercise, you will:
- Access a SAP Business ByDesign Report via MS-Excel AddIn

Prerequisites
Before you can perform the scenario, you need to install the provided MS-Excel AddIn (if you haven’t done it
before).
1. Log into SAP Business ByDesign system using the below mentioned credentials –
User ID: Supplyplanner01p
Password: Welcome1
2. Navigate to Home Control Center, Self-Services, Self-Services Overview
3. My Computer, Install Additional Software
4. Select SAP Add-In for Microsoft Excel

5. Download

Task 1: Access a SAP Business ByDesign Standard Report via MS-Excel

1. Open Microsoft Excel


2. Tab: SAP Business ByDesign in the Menu Bar
3. Log in to Business ByDesign system via MS-Excel using the below mentioned credentials –
a. Example: SAP-System-URL: https://myXXXXXX.sapbydesign.com

(please use one of this provided ByD Exercise Tenants and its 6-digit
identificatory).
b. User ID: supplyplanner01p
c. Password: Welcome1
4. Navigate to “Insert Report”
5. Search for: “Inventory Balance”
6. Push: “Insert”
7. Result: SAP Business ByDesign Data are provided in MS-Excel. You can use all MS-Excel
features further on.
8. You can work with the provided MS-Excel standard options, but also using the provided Add-In
options, e. g. doing a “Refesh” of the data directly out of SAP Business ByDesign.
9. Optional: You can do this on further worksheets with other reports as well.
