is using any left overs and turn
Before creating anything we always them into a new working thing
make a rough sketch of how things useful to not just me but by every
one.

very important to get a full-scale idea
about this before getting the actual
project done and it is very important
to get into these details before
finalizing anything. This is what
design is used for.
Importance of design
Design can generate innovative
ideas, improve business,
performance, health and growth.
Design is about more than creating
the look and feel of a final product.

What I learnt in the
module?
To enhance any product we need to
know its background,its origin, how it
all started , why was it designed. In
this module I learnt why it is
necessary to know all these things for
any prduct. It dosent just apply for
existing products it also applies to any
product that is to be made, how? Well
if we are brainstorming about
desigining a new product it is very
necessary to know the backgroung and
the evolution of relating products so
that we get an idea about how the
uses changed over time and how we
can make our product different by
solving the problems the previous or
related products faced. This helps us
making our product better at the
beginning itself.
DESIGN
My experience in design has taken me
from creating visually appealing works
that sadly lacked in function to
understanding not only what the function
is, but why its required and how best to
implement it.
EVOLUTION OF DESIGN
This module started off by Surya sir
explaining the evolution of design by
taking example of our national flag how it
originated who came up with the idea
and how it all started and why and how it
became constant. He also taught that for
any product there is always its evolution.
Knowing an evolution of any product is
necessary because it teaches us over time
what changes it has gone through and
what else can be introduced or modified
to improve the product for future use.

Assignments
We were asked to make groups of three
then we were divided according to sections
and one section had to do the evolution on
a larger scale while the other had to do the
evolution of a particular product. We were
asked to do this in three stages.
STAGE 1: choose a product or topic and
get it approved by the teacher then start
getting an idea about the chosen product
or topic.
STAGE 2: after getting a general idea
about the product and topic we were asked
to divide our work among the group
members to get information. We were then
asked to note it down on an A0 sized
paper.
STAGE 3: we were then asked to highlight
only the important points we like to share
only the key points along the information
we had collected and we were asked to
make an info graph or giga map with this.

We chose lock and key as our product and

of that we made a 3d chart in the form of a
lock and key using sun board and chart
papers.
