FDR Learning Principles

1. Students learn best when they can apply or connect learning.
2. Learning happens for individuals in different ways and different times.
3. Learning occurs best when students get clear, timely feedback as well as opportunities to apply that feedback.
4. Learning is enriched by multiple opportunities to practice in a supportive environment.
5. Emotional well-being influences educational performance, learning and development.
6. Learning includes active creation, integration and application, not just passive consumption.
7. Effective classroom management is based on setting and communicating high expectations, nurturing positive relationships and providing a high level of
student support.
8. Learning happens best in an atmosphere of high expectations.

Collaboration ME will continue to organize yourself to do homework on a regular basis and
Communication ME will try not to get distracted with irrelevant conversations in the
classroom. You still have a long way to prove that you can be consistent
with producing high quality work. Continue to read over the summer
break trying to incorporate a variety of titles and genres. Enjoy the

Luka, I am pleased to have you in my advisory. You are always positive
and respectful. Sometimes, you get a little carried away by your
excitement and have a bit of a hard time being quiet. Remember that the
time we have for the Daily announcements every morning is short and
we need everyone's cooperation to make the most of it. When you
choose to get distracted by other things such as drawing, you are not
exactly being helpful. Enjoy the break and I will see you in February!
