CHAPTER II
Name of Company

Aloessence from the word “aloe” and “essence” was inspired to create
handcrafted soap consists of aloe vera gel and essential oils. According to Karkala
Manvitha and Bhushan Bidya (2014) Aloe Vera as a skin care product was used
globally by dermatologist. It works as an astringent, cleanser, humidifier and
moisturizer. It softens the skin, reduces wrinkles and cures acne, skin irritation and
other skin problems. It also provides protection to the skin against pollution. It is
ideal for people who have sunburns, fragile skin, for removal and repair of dead
skin cells too.
To achieve an aromatherapeutic product we combined aloe vera soap and
essential oils. As mentioned by Maxwell-Hudson (1995), Price S. (1991), Price S.
(1993) essential oils when inhaled gives rise to olfactory aromatherapy, where
simple inhalation has an effect of improved emotional wellness, calmness,
relaxation of the human body. The free of stress is formed with pleasurable scents
which opens odor memories. Eucalyptus, Lavender and Peppermint are some of the
essential oils that we will be using.
Aloessence Aloe soap will be molded in round shape, colored purple, green
and mint green and packed with an eco-friendly packaging because we value
sustainability. It will be an eco-friendly and cruelty-free product. We aim to create
a product that is made out of natural ingredients, treats various skin problems, and
revitalized someone using which attract consumers.

History

Aloessence was established in year 2019 by a group of young curious

individuals namely; Rochelle Palma, Lanz Camaña, Ashley Garcia, Rebekah
Belante and Celine Domingo. These five individuals come up with an idea of hand-
crafted soap that is different among the existing branded soap. By the influence of
professor, Sir Ar Butiong a thought of “Why not use aloe vera as a main ingredient
in soap product,” is how these aspirants aimed to create a product that will benefit
not just themselves but also their customers by introducing Aloessence’s Aloe soap.
The bar soap will be made with aloe vera gel and essential oils. One of the
member suggests to produce an Aromatheraphy product. To achieve an
aromatheraputic soap was to put an essential oil which helps to improve health of
the, mind and spirit. The bar soap will be molded into round shapes colored purple,
green and mint green to recognized lavender, peppermint and eucalytus aroma. To
show our love and value to the environment the packaging of the product will be
eco-friendly. It will never be tested to animals, cruelty-free.

Aloe Vera gel and essential oils. Aloe Vera gel will be the main ingredient for it
has multiple natural benefits to the skin. According to (Surjushe, Vasani, & Saple,
2008) Aloe Vera contains 75 potentially active constituents: vitamins which are
antioxidants that neutralizes free radicals, enzymes that helps reduce excessive
inflammation, minerals for the proper functioning, sugars that has antiallergic
properties, anthraquinones that acts as analgesics, antibacterial and antivirals and
fatty acids, salicylic acid and amino acids that also have an anti-inflammatory
action and antiseptic.
It has different aromatic essential oils such as Lavender that helps calm
anxious thoughts, relaxes muscles and acts as a sleeping aid, Eucalyptus that helps
relieve clogged sinuses and congestion, removes odors and creates an indulgent
