A. Standard Competency:
Understanding the meaning of short functional texts and simple monologue texts
in the form of recount, narrative and procedure in the context of everyday life
Revealing the meaning in short functional text and monologue in the form of

B. Basic Competency:
Responding to meaning accurately, smoothly and acceptable in simple short
functional oral texts (eg announcements, advertisements, invitations etc.) official
and unofficial in various contexts of daily life.

Announcement is a statement which gives information about something that has happened or that
will happen to people. Announcement can be found in everywhere. School,our home,etc.
Announcement has 2 forms,spoken form and written form.
Examples:
Spoken Form :
" Attention,please. To improve English speaking ability, we will go to Bali next month. You
should find a foreigner tourist there to talk to,or to interview him/her. After that,you should
record or write your interview and collect it for the next English lesson. For futher
information,please contact Mr.Erwan. Thank you for your attention. "
