A. Standard Competency:
 Understanding the meaning of short functional texts and simple monologue texts
in the form of recount, narrative and procedure in the context of everyday life
 Revealing the meaning in short functional text and monologue in the form of
recount, narrative and simple procedures in the context of everyday life.
B. Basic Competency:
 Responding to meaning accurately, smoothly and acceptable in simple short
functional oral texts (eg announcements, advertisements, invitations etc.) official
and unofficial in various contexts of daily life.
 Revealing meaning in the form of short functional texts (eg announcements,
advertisements, invitations etc.) official and unofficial by using various spoken
languages in various contexts of daily life.
C. Achievement Indicators: At the end of this lesson the students are:
 Students identify the structure and language features of the short functional text:
announcement.
 Students indentify the information from the short functional text: announcement.
 Students deliver the announcement.
D. Learning Objective:
 Are able to know the social function advertisements, text structures, and
linguistic elements of some special texts in the form of announcemets.
 Are able to understand the message delivered related to social functions, text
structure and linguistic elements of special texts in the form of event

Announcement is a statement which gives information about something that has happened or that
will happen to people. Announcement can be found in everywhere. School,our home,etc.
Announcement has 2 forms,spoken form and written form.

Examples:

Spoken Form :

" Attention,please. To improve English speaking ability, we will go to Bali next month. You
should find a foreigner tourist there to talk to,or to interview him/her. After that,you should
record or write your interview and collect it for the next English lesson. For futher
information,please contact Mr.Erwan. Thank you for your attention. "

Anyeong Haseyo!

For all of Kpopers in our university. We will held a Kpop Gathering.

This event purpose to make all of the kpopers in our school could share an
information about kpop each other. The excellent event for the Gathering is
a Dance Competition and Parody of Korean Drama.

The Kpop Gathering will be held on 26 June 2019 at School yard.
