“In an uniquely human way there are some people who care for others.

We developed into becoming naturally empathetic creatures. This is evidenced by the fact that
we cannot take care of ourselves when we are born, and moreover for a very long time after that.
The tendency to care for other people also comes for the fact that we can imagine but other
people hurting feels like, or that we know when we hurt other people how it would feel like if we
were the one being hurt, which is a unique human trait. That caring for people is a normal and
ordinary human thought. They are always ready to lend a helping hand. That is a selfless attitude
to give support.

Nowadays most of the people don’t care for others. In this world of technology everyone is busy
with their own life. They hardly get time to think about other people. The reason some people
stop caring is that they feel hopeless. Why care when it doesn’t change anything? They get tired
of putting forth effort when there doesn’t seem to be a payoff. When people stop caring they are
being defensive sometimes. It’s easier to not care and not get hurt than to care and make yourself
vulnerable to suffering.

Despite that there are some good soul in this world who are trying to do good with what they
have even the change is little. For example, take a look at “Rohinga” issue in our country. Many
government and non-government organization came forward to help them. Coincidentally I also
made a little contribution to them. In February, 2018 when I was returning from Saint Martin I
came into contact with some rohinga families in Teknaf. Seeing them I immediately realized that
lack of food and proper nutrition made them skinny and weak. There were about 15 families.
Most of them had just born childs. The kids were looking at me with their sparking eyes. It
melted my heart. So I bought them some food and gave them some money so that they can at
least seek medical health for the children. When I was finally returning to Dhaka my heart was
full with satisfaction. It may be a very small act but at the end of the day the peace I felt in my
and was beyond imagination. So now I know why there are some people who care for others
selflessly. The emotion and completeness they feel by caring for others is worth remembering.
