QUALITY PRODUCT EVALUATION AND

ACCEPTABILITY OF CAMOGAY KISSES


[CAMOTE (IPOMOEA BATATAS) – MALUNGGAY (MORINGA OLEIFERA) KISSES]
RATIONALE
• One of the most problems today that confront the country is
malnutrition.

• And one of the causes of malnutrition is eating foods that have less
nutritional value like junk foods.

• This malnutrition hinders the realization of the dream of a


healthy and happy community and the attainment of
quality education.
OBJECTIVES
• This study aims to find out if Camote flour can be a
good substitute of the commercial flour and if
Malunggay can be a good additive in cookie kisses
making.
METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH DESIGN
• Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in
all the treatments

• It is an experimental design which contains blocks, and


each block has enough experimental units such that all
treatments can be measured within the block.

• This allows block differences to be removed, and


treatments compared under the more uniform
conditions within a block.

• The tools and materials used in the study are the knife, tray
drier/oven, measuring cups, mixing bowls, spatulas, ladles,
grinder, and molder.

SUMMARY OF THE EVALUATION OF THE ADULT RESPONDENTS ON
THE CAMOGAY KISSES AMONG THE DIFFERENT TREATMENTS
MICROBIAL ANALYSIS
• Microbial analysis results revealed that there are NO presence of
E. coli and Salmonella on the tested samples of camote flour
and malunggay powder.
• This proves that the CAMOGAY Kisses are safe for human
consumption, especially for children.

• Furthermore, spoilage microorganism are said to be very


minimal, implying that the product will be edible for a longer
period of time.
RECOMMENDATION
• It is recommended to conduct other studies on other
products that can use camote flour as a substitute to
commercial flour and malunggay powder as an additive,
other than cookies.

• Furthermore, shelf-life testing is recommended to


determine how long the product could be preserved
(longevity).
CONCLUSION

• Camote flour is a good substitute to commercial flour for the


prepared CAMOGAY kisses, as agreed by all groups of respondents.

• Treatments 3, 4, and 5 with different proportion of malunggay


powder are all acceptable to the children, teenagers, and adults.

• And treatment 4 with 6 tbsp of malunggay using camote flour is


highly preferred compared to the rest of the treatments by the
children, teenager, and adult respondents group.
