How Management is an Art or a Science?

Management is an art and science both. A science can be known as the study about
the physical and natural world, rely on proved facts. This can be done with
experiments.
Art on the other way is a way of doing things skillfully. Art deals with
work done through people and resources. While Science deals with having
decisions and applying them according to the past and present data.

Management as an Art:
Art is doing of specific things. It tells that how can we achieve our objective. George
R. Terry, “Art is bringing about of a desired result through the application of skill.”
Art is all depends on the person’s ability learned from practice and experience. And
that’s how a managers solves problem in their working place using their skills,
knowledge and experience. Aesthetic utilization of the board know-how is an

associations. It is comprehended that overseeing is doing things creatively in the

Management as Both Art and Science:
