Subject: Inclusion of Novelty Search Report in Project Report of Final Year B.E Student's Project.

To increase novelty & utility of student’s project and to support such projects which have
potential to go ahead, GTU wish to provide further support of product development, IPR
protection as well start up facilitation support.

To do the above support, university requires “Novelty Search Report” as a part of final year
project report being submitted through PMMS.This is to be done by every team submitting their
final year project. Students are encouraged to perform patent search and prepare Novelty Search
report using various free/open source patent databases and others, as mentioned in GTU PMMS
Guideline (Page No 33).

The format of Novelty Search Report is provided as Annexure 1.
