Review
Review students on the different types of context clues.
What is its importance?

Motivation
Show off expressions/ gestures. Ask students the meaning of each
gesture.
Demonstrate variety of meanings and show how intercultural
misunderstandings might occur.

A. Lesson Proper
-Activity
The students will be grouped into 4. Groups 1 and 2 will identify
the gestures under Face / facial expressions. Group 3 and 4 will
identify the gestures under hands.

FACE HANDS

What do you call those words you grouped?


Do you know any other gesture that we use in communication?
Introducing the topic by running dictations through text.
-Analysis
Are these gestures important for us in communication?
Why do we need to use gestures?
How can these gestures help us in communicating clearly?
Can miscommunication occur even if the speaker uses gestures?
