There are 5 parts to the
plot
Exposition
● Setting up the story/the introduction
● Get to know the characters
Rising Action
● Things starting to get spicy
● Start to see some conflicts in
the story
Climax
● The turning point of the story
● The conflict reaches a head, usually the main character
has to do something or make a decision
Falling Action
● The result of the climax, what happens afterwards
● Story starts winding down
Resolution
● The end of the story
● How all the conflicts become resolved
