CONSTITUTIONS
ARTICLE I NAME
The name of the organization shall be EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM located at STI Academic Center
Cubao.
ARTICLE II PURPOSE
The purpose of EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM is to help other people in times of need. To help students
of STI Academic Center Cubao to be aware in emergencies like calamities and disaster. Our organization
also ensures the safety of every people within the school.
Section 3 The use of our official is only permitted to official members of Emergency Response
Team. It can be used to the following:
- Identification Card
- Notice of Meeting
- Formal Proposals
Section 4 The illegal use of the official logo of the Emergency Response Team must face
consequences that are amendments by the By-Laws and Constitution of the
organization.
ARTICLE IV AUTHORITY
Section 1 This organization is a recognized as an emergency organization at STI Academic Center
Cubao.
Section 2 Emergency Response Team members are only allowed to serve inside the school
premises.
Section 3 This organization will establish bylaws to govern administrative and procedural matters
(such as time and location of meetings, etc.). Bylaws shall not conflict with this
constitution. Bylaws may be adopted, amended, or temporarily suspended by a majority
vote present at an organization meeting where a quorum is present (advance notice is
not required).
ARTICLE V MEMBERSHIP
Section 1 Membership in the organization shall be open to those regularly-enrolled at STI
Academic Center Cubao.
Section 2 Eligibility for membership or appointed or elected student officer positions may not be
limited on the basis of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender,
gender identity, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or disability. The
organization shall have no rules or policies that discriminate on the basis of race,
religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, gender identity, marital status,
citizenship, sexual orientation, or disability.
Section 3 The students must have their parent’s approval in order to join the organization.
Section 4 Applying students should meet the expectations of the interviewee and the judges.
Students must be physically fit and mentally fit in order to be a member of the said
organization.
Section 5 Members should be committed to their duties even before and after their duty hours.
Members should always be ready to respond if there is someone in need.
Section 6 Members should have their background/proper training related to first aid.
ARTICLE VI OFFICERS
Section 1 The officers of the Emergency Response Team shall be: Chairman, General Secretary,
Logistics Section Chief, Internal and External Liaison Officer, First Aid Team Leader and
Search and Rescue Team Leader.
Section 2 To eligible for office, candidate must be enrolled at STI Academic Center Cubao.
Section 3 Officers can be removed or Impeach from their position by: ERT – Adviser and votes
from the members.
ARTICLE VII MEETINGS
Section 1 Regular Meetings shall be held: in the 1st Wednesday of the month and the 3rd
Wednesday of the month. It will also depending to the majority free time of the
members.
Section 2 Emergency meetings and General Assembly shall be called by: ERT-Chairman and noted
by ERT adviser.
Section 3 Agendas for meetings shall be prepared by the chairman and be distributed through
Notice of Meetings.
Section 4 All ERT members who don’t attend any meeting/s will be receiving a memorandum that
stated suspension on duty or termination of position. Not unless, if the reason is
acceptable.
Memorandum will be given by “ERT-Chairman” and approved by the “Standing
Committees”
Section 2 All money transactions must be approved by the Deputy School Administrator, ERT –
Adviser and ERT – Chairman.
Section 3 Organization funds shall not be used to purchase or reimburse members for any not
related needs to the organization.
Section 2 Members that violate the Student Code of Conduct and Student Organization policies
may face disciplinary action.
Section 3 Disciplinary action will be given by the Executive Board. If one of the members of the
Executive Board is facing the consequences, the standing committees are assigned to
give them a Disciplinary Action.
ARTICLE X ADMENDMENTS
Section 1 Proposed amendments to this constitution shall be presented to the membership, in
writing, one meeting prior to the meeting where the amendment will be voted upon.
Section 3 A copies of any amendments to this constitution must be submitted to the STI Academic
Center Cubao within two weeks after adoption.

b. The General Secretary shall take minutes at all meetings of the organization, keep
these on file, and submit copies to organization members upon request. The
Executive Secretary shall be responsible for all organization correspondence and
shall keep copies on file. The Executive Secretary shall maintain membership
records for the organization.
c. The Logistic Section Chief shall handle all financial affairs and budgeting of the
organization, maintain all necessary accounting records, and prepare financial
reports for the membership. The Logistic Section Chief shall collect all dues (if
applicable) and revenue. The Treasurer shall work with the Chairman and the
Adviser to maintain the finances of the organization.
d. The Internal and External Liaison Officers are the responsible for communicating
other agencies. Internal Liaison Officer is responsible in communicating in Senior
High School program of STI Academic Center Cubao. External Liaison Officer is
responsible in communicating in Tertiary Program of STI Academic Center Cubao.
e. The First Aid Team Leader is responsible in his/her first aid team. As a Team Leader,
he/she is also responsible for all First Aid Station and Evacuation Center in any drill
of the school like Earthquake Drill, Fire Drill and, etc.
f. The Search and Rescue Team Leader is also responsible for the roving team. He is
also responsible for the Search and Rescue Team as a team leader.
Section III Qualifications necessary to hold office in the Emergency Response Team are as
follows:
a. No member may hold more than one office. No member may serve more than two
years in the same office.
Section IV Elections
a. Elections are held near the end of spring semester and shall take place at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the organization at which a quorum is present. At least one
week’s notice shall be provided for any meeting at which an election is to be held.
d. Votes shall be cast by secret ballot; however, when there is only one candidate for
an office, a motion may be made to elect the candidate.
Section VI Finances
The organization shall be funded through the list of the following means:
Donations- the officers of the organization can receive any donations from any
supporting organization or who sponsors our organization.
Proposals- when it comes to proposals, the ERT-Adviser and ERT-Chairman together
with the officers must have their own formal meeting so they can discuss the exact
funds that the organization needs.
Section VII Discipline of Members
a. All members of the Emergency Response Team are expected to uphold the rules and
regulations of the STI Academic Center of Cubao Student Code of Conduct and
adhere to the policies and procedures set for in the STI Academic Center Cubao
Student Organization Policies.
b. Members that violate the Student Code of Conduct and Student Organization
policies may face disciplinary action.
b. Executive Board shall then notify officers and call for removal vote within fourteen
days of the filing of the petition.
c. Removal from office shall require a vote of 2/3 of all voting members.
b. The Chairman shall call for an election within fourteen days after vacancy of any
office.
d. Should the office of the Chairman become vacant, nominated officer should
complete the Chairman’s unexpired term and call for an election for process set
forth in the bylaws.
Section X Amendments
a. Proposed amendments to these bylaws shall be presented to the
membership, in writing, one meeting prior to the meeting where the
amendment will be voted upon.
