INTRODUCTION

We are blessed with all kinds of animals and plants in

our environment. This is the source of our needs for

survival. According to the study only 1% of the species

here on earth we are aware of existence in our environment

and 98% are unknown to us. Many of us have questions about

the origin of creatures and how they are consumed. Thousands

of years ago according to studies, dinosaurs existed, but

why are they lost in our days? Why the fossil remains? What

factors causing some species extinct or disappear?

In our modern time today many young people are not

aware of the enormous number of how many species live in

their community. They do not know the species that have

lived and have been endangered. In our research regarding

about awareness of species by young people that conducted by

our group. This will know if they are aware in some species

that will extinct in the future and what are the factor that

these species soon to extinct. We have 50 students of Grade

7 of WUP Aurora to study their awareness of the ecology

research we conducted with the help of our Professor. This

is to answer all questions with their Awareness About

ecological changes in their community specially those

species we provide for our research.

Statement of the Problem

2

This study aims to find out the remaining extinction of

fruits and animals as perceived by Grade 7 students of

Wesleyan University Philippines. Specifically, it sought

answers to the following questions;

1. How may the following fruits be described by the

respondents in terms of as they:

1.1. seen

1.2. tasted

1.3. touched

1.4. familiarity

1.5. still seeing?

2. How may the following animals be described by the

respondents in terms of as they:

2.1. seen

2.2. touched

2.3. familiarity

2.4. environment where they live

2.5.still seeing?

Scope and Delimitation

This research covers 50 Grade 7 students of Wesleyan

University- Philippines in Maria Aurora, Aurora. They are

the respondents of this study.

3

Moreover, research study will find out the awareness of

students in the extinction of some animals and fruits. It

corresponds to students in getting data to provide this

research a conclusion.

Furthermore, this research focused on the specific

understanding about ecological changes commonly in specific

species we provide in our study. The students will be able

to provide some data to show how they are aware in their

community specially those endangered species that may

extinct.

Summary of findings

Most of the respondents in grade 7 students are not

able to identify some of the species that are extinct today.

We rank those species according to the result of the test

that we’ve given to them. there are 5 categories in our

questionnaire. 1.Have you seen 2. Have you tasted 3. Have

you touched 4. Are you familiar with and 5. Do you still

see. According to the result of this research, the most

fruits that they have seen is Atis. The most fruits that

they have already tasted is Black Berries. The most fruits

that they touch is Atis. The most fruits that are familiar

on them is Atis. The fruits that they still seen is Atis.

Conclusion

Endangered species show us that our world may not be as

healthy as we think. The most hope for endangered species

lies in the hands of young people like you who care enough

to make a difference.

Endangered animals is very important and everyone should
