LITERATURE REVIEW
The research made an attempt to collect information from the prior research and relevant
studies conducted in the area if consumer behaviour and so that important variable for the
study could be identified and analyzed the review of literature has been presented in a
summerized and precise manner.

Marketing management by Philip kotler :- the customer is always considered as a core of


business activity author discussed in this books that marketing is only one factor in attracting
and keeping customers. Peter F drucker observed that a company ‘ as first task is “ to create
customer” estimate will delivery the most value. The book highlighted consumer decision
making process and buying rules.

Consumer behaviour by Hawkins. Best coney and mukharji:- the authors of the book
discussed various factor effecting consumer behaviour for buying such as demographic and
social influences (family and hose hold), group influence, impact of advertising and internal
influences (learning ,perception, attitude etc.)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY (INTRODUCTION)


The project has been a learning experience for me. At the same time enough scope to
implement my analytical ability.

Here we talk about the various types of the factors effecting vivo mobiles purchase and also
give an overview of consumer buying preference. All the topics have been covered in a very
systematic way. So language has been kept simple so that even a common man could
understood.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

In This Study, The Experience And Expectation And Satisfaction Of The Customer Has Been
Analysed .To Find Out Factors That Influences The Customers To Buy The laptops. To
Identify The Necessary Change In Product Features And Customers Feeling About The
laptops. This Study Will Be Useful For The Company To Make Necessary Changes In Price,
Designs, Apps And Etc.

OBJECTIVE OF STUDY
Objective of the present survey is to develop awareness of branded laptop baseline

Estimate and determine popularity of different company ‘ s laptop I t suggests steps to be


initiated or strength in filed of demand in a region .
The key indicators are among the general population demand branded laptop and the
problems users

THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PARTICULAR STUDY ARE


1. To know preference of different types of branded laptop by the people VTU college
students at KALABURGI .
2. To study which factor influence for choosing different types of branded laptops.
3. To know about the level of satisfaction towards different types of branded laptops.
4. To identify the preparation consumer towards laptop positioning strategy.
5. To know the consumer preference towards laptops in the present era.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This Project is prepared with the help of practical knowledge as well as theoretical
knowledge and a crumb of advises and suggestions from the concerned professors.
As far as practical is concerned all the information about the companies are available
on the internet. theoretical part is taken from the text book, magazines and
newspapers available regarding this subject. And other recent happening in
marketing is taken from magazines and newspapers. Overall this mission has been
completed with the combination of all those things and it had been with the best of
my facts and information.
According to Clifford Woody:
“ Research comprises defining and redefining the problem, formulating hypothesis
or suggested solutions;collecting,organising and evaluating the data.Making
deductions and research conclusions; and a last carefully testing the conclusions to
determine whether they fit the formulating hypothesis. Research is thus an original
contribution to the existing stock of knowledge making for its advertisement. It is
pursuit of truth with the help of study, observation, comparison and experiment. In
short the search for knowledge through objective and systematic method of finding
solution to problem is research.

RESEARCH DESIGN
A research design is the arrangement of conditions for collection and analysis of data in a
manner that aims to combine relevance to the Research purpose with economy in procedure.
In fact the research design is the conceptual structure within which Research is conducted: It
constitutes the blueprint for the collection measurement and analysis of data. It must be able
to define clearly what they want to measure and must find adequate methods for measuring it
along with a clear cut definition of population wants to study .
SAMPLING DESIGN
A sample design is a definite plan for obtaining a sample from the sampling frame, it refers to
technique or procedure the researcher adopt in selecing same sampling unit from which
interference about the population is drawn. sampling type used is simple random sample
technique.

POPULATION AND SAMPLE SIZE


A decision has to be taken concerning sampling unit before selecting sample. The population
for this study includes the people of vtu students of kalaburgi city. Were understand for the
study. Sample size of the research is considered as 100 students.

DATA COLLECTION
Both primary and secondary data has been collected for the study, both play vital role at the
time of analysis to give a suitable recommendation to the existing problems, primary data
played major role, also secondary data is necessary to give proper support to primary data.

 Primary data has been collected through the help of questionnaire


 Secondary data has been collected from internet and print media.
