2. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
Main hazards: These products are FLAMMABLE. Vapours may form explosive mixtures with air & may travel a
considerable distance to a source of ignition and flash back.
3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS
Composition: Components contributing to hazards:
Ethanol: CAS no. 64-17-5; EC no. 200-578-6; concentration 20-30%; F11 Highly flammable
All other components are low hazard and/or present at amounts below reportable thresholds.
Ingestion: If product has been confined to the mouth, wash out with water. Ensure the mouthwash is not
swallowed. If product has been swallowed, drink water to dilute it in the stomach. Do not
induce vomiting.
Suitable extinguisher: Use water spray, fog or mist, alcohol resistant foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemicals. Containers
close to fire should be removed immediately (if it can be done without risk) or cooled with water.
Wear protective clothing/equipment appropriate to fire conditions.
Leaks and spills: Remove all sources of ignition. Large spillages should be contained using absorbent material.
Transfer to a sealed container for disposal.
Clean-up procedure: Small spillages or residue should be washed to drain with large amounts of water.
Storage precautions: Keep away from oxidisers, heat and flames. Keep away from children.
Environmental Exposure
Controls: Ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Incompatible with: Avoid heat, flames and other sources of ignition. Avoid exposure to high temperatures. Avoid
contact with acids and oxidising substances.
This MSDS has been revised to meet the requirements of the Chemicals (Hazard Information and
Packaging for Supply) Regulations and the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of
Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations.
