Q 1. How one type of memory card work?

When a card is placed in an activated device ,such as a camera or a cell phone a small electrical
current from the device moves electron in the flash memory chips .the digital pattern stored on
the chips correlate to the data stored there SD card write and erase memory in blocks or
sections.

Q 2. How a laser reads data on optical disks?

The data is stored in a chips on the disk or stamping machine, and can be accessed when the
data path is illuminated with the laser diode in a optical disk shrive with the spin the disk at
speed of about 200-400 RMP or more ,depending on the drive type ,disk or format ,and the
distance of the read head from the center of the disk.

Q 3. Differentiate between cdrom cdrws and cdrws?

CDROM;
A cdrom is a pre-pressed optical compact disk that contain data computer can read –but not
and not to erase –CD ROM e.g. it is the type of read only memory.

CDRS AND CDRW;

A cdrws is a disk that can only be written once where as. Cdrws a disk that can be written,
erasable.

Cdr can not be erased while cdrws can be erased.

Q 4. Write down the difference between multitasking and

multiprocessing?
A multitasking is the ability of an operating system to execute more than one task.
Simultaneously on a single processor machine. More than one task can reside into the same.
CPU at a one point of time.

A multiprocessing is the ability to an operating system to execute more than one process.
Simultaneously on a multiprocessor machine.
Q 5.How many operating system can be installed on single
machine? Justify
Basically we can installed a no of operating system but it depend which of hard ware are used
.if our hand disk is formatted /sup[ported MBR(Master boot recorder)then we can install only 4
op system .If one hard disk is formatted /supposed GPT (Guided portion table )then we can
install only 128 operating system.

Q 6. How the mobile data consume more battery than wifi

justify?
Mobile data consume more battery when the incoming signals is weak than when it is strong
.Its like the phone has to do more work to receive information sent from far away source. This
happens during switching cell which are zone covered by the telecom tower, that the phone is
constantly trying to figure out where the stronger signal is coming from .also wifi is not as
important as cell pone network, so the phone puts the wifi to sleep when the network coverage
is low, but for obvious reasons can not do the same for cellular networks.
