File Retention Cleanup
The file retention cleanup will purge files older than the retention period.

This should only be performed by management.

A proper backup must be performed before any files are purged.

_____1. The screen below displays file_cleanup.dat which designates file retention
criteria for purging. If a proper backup has been performed and you wish to
purge these files continue to step 2.

3 File Retention Cleanup
p Purge files older then the retention days

The files from the directories listed above will be purged. The purge
will cleanup files older than KEEP days.

Application Snapshot
On occasion it may be necessary to verify if the DGM application is
running or not running.

This can be checked by using the following options in the DGM server
menu.
_____1. To verify the application is running, log into the DGMAPP Servers. While
logged in to the Application Server as a menu user, select:

1 DGM Application Menu
1 DGM Application Snapshot

1> Verify whether the DGM Application is running or not running.


2> Verify the NFS Share is mounted.
NOTE: If the NFS Share is not Mounted contact management or
supervisors immediately.

Start Application
On occasion it will be necessary to start the DGM application.

_____1. To start the DGM Application select the following options:


13 DGM MENU
3 DGM Application Menu
2 Start DGM Application

Sample:
Starting DGM in clustered mode...
DGM Start command issued.

The screen will output the start process and will end when the APP has
successfully started.

NOTE: If the “Started in <time>” message has not yet appeared, the
log may be tailed again using the dgm_tail_console_log
utility:

Please check that service is running, from the DGM Application


Menu, select:

Stop Application
On occasion it will be necessary to stop the DGM application.

_____1. To stop the application, log into the DGMAPP Servers. While logged in to
the Application Server as a menu user, select:

3 Stop DGM Application

Shutting down DGM Application...
CMD_START = cd /usr/local/sbg/jboss/bin; sh /usr/local/sbg/jboss/bin/run.sh -c

Shutdown message has been posted to the server.
Server shutdown may take a while - check logfiles for completion
Waiting 10 seconds for DGM shut down to complete...

DGM application shutdown successful.

Start NFS
Authorization should be granted from management.
_____1. First confirm that the NFS Server is not running. Log into the appropriate
DGMAPP server. From the DGM Menu access the Middleware Utility Menu,
the NFS Client Menu and Snapshot the NFS Client.

_____2. The following screen will appear if the NFS Client is not running.

_____3. From the DGM Menu access the Middleware Utility Menu, the NFS Client
Menu and Start the NFS Client

_____4. The following screen will appear. Hit return to go back to the NFS Client
Menu

_____5. Confirm the NFS Server is now running using the snapshot section of this
document.

The NFS Share is Mounted on this Server as the following

(rw,hard,intr,tcp,timeo=1,retrans=2,addr=10.1.5.95)
