A. INTRODUCTION

“Our Environment is one of the most important things to sustain our lives. “Improper

waste disposal is the disposal of waste in a way that has negative consequences for

the environment. Examples include littering, hazardous waste that is dumped to the

ground, and not recycling items that should be recycled. If discipline is not practiced,

this may lead to soil, water, and air pollution and will occur when either of them

becomes contaminated with hazardous materials. Not only does this contribute to the

creation of greenhouse gas effects but also cause significant harm to marine and

wildlife.

B. STATEMENT IF THE PROBLEM

Specifically, the research will answer the following questions:

1) What are the experiences of the citizens in San Jose Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija?

2) What are the disadvantages of not practicing discipline and camaraderie?

3) What will happen if people will continue on throwing their garbage anywhere?

4) What will be the effect if people won’t segregate?

C. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The following individuals will benefit from the said study:

Citizens: Will be safe and will be away from illness. Will get to experience a fresh air from

the atmosphere. A clean environment ensures the continual existence and survival of all

life on Earth. Cleaning the environment reduces pollution, protects unique ecosystems,
prevents the extinction of endangered species and conserves resources, such as land,

water, and air.

Purpose

We write this letter to propose a solution to recurring at San Jose Cuyapo,

Nueva Ecija. The problem is the worsening effect of improper garbage disposal in the

community. Members of that community become frustrated because of the problems it

gives such as illness and flood.

We suggest that we will have a community clean up in San Jose Cuyapo,

Nueva Ecija to be able to have a better, cleaner, and safe community. And therefore, they

will not be worried about the chances of any harmful disasters.

Problem of Improper garbage disposal

There are about 65, 039 people in Cuyapo and about 1266 are residents of

San Jose. Most of the districts here does not practice proper waste disposal especially

those living near the bridge. Many processes will be required to regulate the environment.

Nowadays, we are suffering environmental dilemmas such as global warming,

flash floods, and etc. One of the causes of these problem is the misbehavior of the people

towards waste management. Some people are reckless in throwing their garbage. They

do not think of the possible results of their actions on the environmental as well as on

health.

Improper Drainage System.

Water contamination. Hazardous wastes in the environment leech into the

ground, and ultimately, into the ground water. This water is used for many things, from

watering the local fields to drinking. Toxic liquid chemicals from waste can also seep into

water streams and bodies of water. Untreated sewage can threaten marine life that comes

into contact with the contaminated water. It can destroy and suffocate marine habitats,

such as coral reefs. Contaminated water is also dangerous and harmful to humans who

consume fish and other marine life.

Disease-carrying pests

Mosquitoes and rats are known to live breed in sewage areas, and both are

known to carry life-threatening diseases. Mosquitoes breed in cans and tires that collect

water, and can carry diseases such as malaria and dengue. Rats find food and shelter in

landfills and sewage and they can carry diseases such as leptospirosis and salmonellosis.

Moreover, moisture production from waste is a breeding ground for mould. It’s bacteria

that has the ability to spread grow given the appropriate conditions, such as moisture

production from appliances and food scraps.

Waste disposal can be defined as any method used to discard unwanted

substances or materials. Poor waste disposal activities engender severe environmental

problems on a location.
 Improper waste disposal is the disposal of waste in a way that has negative

consequences for the environment. Examples include littering, hazardous waste that is

dumped into the ground, and not recycling items that should be recycled.

Causes extreme climate change. Decomposing waste emits gases that rise to

the atmosphere and traps the heat. Greenhouse gases are one of the major culprits

behind the extreme weather changes that the world is experiencing.

Solution to the Problem

We propose to practice to Decomposed. Decomposed your waste is an option

for getting rid of your household’s waste. You can compost a lot of items: food waste,

animal waste, yard waste, and much more.

We also propose to practice Recycling. Recycling waste is another option for

getting rid of waste. There are many different things that are recyclable: paper, tin,

aluminum, plastic and much more.

Being a responsible and disciplined citizen, it is important to be aware of what’s

happening in our community, so it’s a must to be responsible and be disciplined in order

for the citizens to have a clean and a proper community.

Lastly, we suggest to buy products that are good for the environment. Instead

of purchasing those plastic pop bottles, find a way that you can buy things that are more

environmentally friendly. Some of this include bottle openers, calendars, coloring books,

and much more.

Cost

To be able to fulfill the solution for the problem, we need to purchase trash

cans and its holder. The trash can will cost about 800 php each and the holder will be

about 300 php each. We suggest that you buy at least 3 sets that will cost about more

than 3,300 php. We also suggest that you should purchase tools for cleaning the

surrounding. These tools will cost at least 1,000 php

Conclusion

In conclusion, the research findings revealed that there are significant issues with

unauthorized waste disposal practices due to the lack of proper waste management

process.

We think purchasing cleaning materials, being a responsible and disciplined

member of the society and having a community cleanup is the most effective way to have

a clean and a proper community.
