III. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

The Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP) and Girl Scout of the Philippines
(GSP) movements is an effective program in developing leadership and value
formation of every child as stated in DO 68, s. 2003 Re: Revitalizing the Boy/Girl
Scouting Movement in School. Its main objective supports the DepEd vision and
mission to support and develop scouts into well-rounded individuals with exemplary
character.

BSP & GSP so far, produced leaders who are true to the Boy Scout Oath
and Law and Girl Scout Promise and Law. With its impressive track record on youth
development. Its significant role helping the school system mold pupils into
responsible and responsive citizens of the country.

Hence, school scouting provides our pupils an opportunity to try new


things, provide service to others, build self-confidence and reinforce ethical standards.
Surely their worthy experiences will contribute in developing their life-long learning.

IV. OBJECTIVES

1. Participate in activities that promote responsible citizenship and leadership.


2. Practice desirable social, cultural, moral and spiritual values.
3. Engage in activities that develop physical fitness, skills for self-reliance and
resourcefulness.

V. PARTICIPANTS

All registered Junior BSP and GSP Scouts, KID/KAB, Twinkler/Star


Scouts
Troop Leaders and Co-Leaders
Community/Brgy. Officials

VI. LOCATION

San Jose Elementary School, Brgy. San Jose, Maria Aurora, Aurora

VII. DATES

School encampment (including the kid/kabsayahan and star/twinkle


holiday) will be on September 27-28, 2018.

VIII. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Every after the activity, post evaluation will be made by the troop leader
and staff assigned to monitor the lapses and its strenth. Proper documentation and
reporting will ensure to collate information for the narrative report to be submitted in
the respective offices. Regular monitoring of the school head and other concern
officials will be also observed.
