ARI Standard 430 defines AHU as

“…a factory made, encased assembly
consisting of fan or fans and other necessary
equipment to perform one or more of the
function of circulating, cleaning, heating,
cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, and
mixing of air, but which does not include a
source of heating or cooling.”
