Instructions for form filling


BIG CHANGE !!

We will be giving all the details about new exam pattern and our
analysis in another video soon.
Important points to start with
• Don’t fill JEE Main through any other websites other than
www.jeemain.nic.in
• There are three papers of JEE Main
• Paper – I (for B.E & B. tech)
• Contains Physics, Chemistry and Maths
• Paper- II ( for B. Arch)
• Contains Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing
• Paper – III (For B. planning)
• Contains Mathematics, Aptitude, Planning based questions
• Students can attempt any one or two or all of the above papers.
• Students who want to write advanced, have to clear JEE main paper-I

• Examination fee for the exam is

Instructions
• Do not fill multiple application incase of any issue. Multiple applications
will be rejected.
• Fee can be paid through credit/debit card/ Net Banking only.
• Apply from a machine with good internet and use a scanner for scanning
any photos and signature.
• While you are filling your form, have your Aadhar card and 10th certificate
with you.
• You are not going to choose the date of exam as it will be allotted by NTA.

Requirements for your form filling
• Your scanned copy of photograph should be clear.
• It can be a color or black & white.
• It should be in JPG or JPEG format (size 10 kb to 200 kb)
• Keep 8-10 copies of the same photo for seat allocation and joining
purposes
• A scanned image of your signature in JPG or JPEG (size 4 kb to 30 kb)
• A valid email ID and phone number for purposes of communications.
• A debit/credit card or netbanking account for fee payment.
Steps for form filling
• Step-1: Fill in the application form with basic details and note down
the system generated application number.
• Step-2: Complete the form with exam details.
• Step-3: Uploading scanned images of photo graph and signature of
student.
• Step-4: Make the fee payment.
• Step-5: download the acknowledgement generated after fee payment,
and take 2-3 prints of the same.

•XII admit card with photograph
•Voter ID
•Ration card with photograph.
•Bank passbook with photograph
•Driving licence
•Any other govt identity
Remember any of above documents must be of students only not parents

Your state of eligibility is the state from which you are


appearing XII irrespective of your native place.

For Architecture, select B. Arch only.

For Planning, select B. Planning only.

If you want to appear for Engg and Architecture, select B.E/B. tech
and B. Arch both
All three can be applied by selecting last option.

This is helpful, if you want to avail any scholarships based on
parental income in IIT’s.

Once you submit the form, it will ask you to check the details
again. Please check once again.

Step-3: Uploading images.
Following are the mistakes
students have done in past
•Uploading photo in place
of signature and vice versa.
•Photo/signature is rotated
after uploading.
•Very less clarity images as
they are taken from mobile.
(images are rejected later)

There is no correction facility this year.


Please do not do any mistakes.

Once you check orientation of images and


observe clarity of both images, upload.

Step-3 is done!!

Before going to Step-4, review your entire details along with


photos again. After payment, you cant correct the details.
Step-4: Payment
Fee can be paid by online
mode only.

option and pay the fee,

Step-4: Payment issues
• In case the confirmation page is not generated after payment of fee
then the transaction is cancelled and amount will be refunded to the
candidate account within a week.
• Even if payment is deducted from your account, but status in your
application is “not complete”. Your transaction hasn’t happened you
will be getting your money back.
• The candidate has to make another transaction till the confirmation
page is generated
• But before you do next payment, take 2 hours time and do the payment
again. (it might be due to “busy payment gateway”)
Step-5: Confirmation page
A confirmation page can be
downloaded now with all
your details. If you can
download this, your
application is complete.

Please take 3-4 copies of the


same and submit one copy at
branch office.

• You can check the status of your query also.


• But remember closer to 10 lakh people apply each JEE Main.
• Your query will be answered in a week’s time.
OBC- NCL (non creamy layer )
• Not all who belong to Backward classes in state level can avail
reservation in National front.
• Please visit website of National commission for backward classes
(http://www.ncbc.nic.in/Home.aspx ) to check whether you can avail the
reservation.
• There is 27% reservation in seats for students who belong to OBC
category but for in that who belong to non creamy layer only.

• Students belonging to this can avail 10% of seats in any Govt or aided
institution.
• Following are the rules applicable for any student to avail this
reservation.
• Student must be from general category.
• His/her family income must be less than 8 lakhs per annum.
• His/her family must not own more than 5 acres of land.
• His/her family must not own a residential flat of more than 1000 sq ft area.
• His/her family must not own residential land of more than 100 sq yards in
notified municipalities.
• His/ her family must not own residential land of more than 200 sq. yards in
areas other than notified municipalities.
Common query
• My parents are yet to receive a hike. Should we take the certificate
now and avail OBC/Gen-Ews reservation now?
• NTA will not be checking any certificates now.
• Certificate will be checked by JOSAA, seat allocation body and by concerned
Institute in which student is taking admission.
• They will be providing certificate format after the result for you to submit.
• What if I applied now and couldn’t submit certificate later?
• As per last year guidelines students who fail to submit the certificate will be
considered under General category and he will be given seat based on his
general category rank.

• Last date for form filling is 11:50 pm 30th Sept, 2019
• Date of exam is from 06th Jan 2020 to 11th Jan 2020
• You can download hall tickets from 6th Dec 2019
• Declaration of result is on 31st Jan 2020.
• Ranks will be released only after April JEE main.
