MANAGER MERCHANDISING
 Assumed overall responsibility to manage premium garment brands “Federated Merchandising
Group”, “GAP”, for garments contributing a total business of $20 m annually.
 Spearheaded business development activities and generated fresh opportunities in India/Nepal.
 Coordinated and controlled yarn procurement, fabric development and processing of the fabric
within defined parameters. Systematically maintained follow up with factories in INDIA and NEPAL
right from sampling stage till final dispatch.
 Developed cordial business relations with buying houses and established credibility as a reliable
supplier of quality products.
 Facilitated conducting study and development of system in co-ordination with the EDP Department
using Backend technology – ORACLE8i and Front End Developer2000.
Software supervision and visualizing the following:
i. A Production and planning control system wherein the management can review production status
for a capacity of 15000 garments/days.
ii. A marketing system wherein all the merchandiser’s have all the records feed-in and all the
information is related from PPC-Production - Documentation – Accounts.
iii. Visualize of an interactive website enabling our clients worldwide to access and review our status,
place orders.
