History
Cawa-cawa Falls got its name from “Cawa” or cast iron cauldrons introduced by the
Spaniards. It is a three-level river. The waterfall drops in a 10 yards deep cauldron-like
basin with a small circumference. The stonewall around it are black and smooth. The
second-level was created because of the big rocks that blocked the stream. The third
level is a shallow pool with floor of different sizes of smooth river stones. The water feels
like iced even on a hot summer day.

Cawa Cawa Falls is one of the famous spot in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro. Everyone will
enjoy the water flowing from big rocks and the experience when you dive into the river is indeed
breathtaking and you must try it
