Select Degree or high school Degree Required Required Required Required Required
Status - Hours Required = 4500 Total Recorded = 0
Hours Required in a Domain
Additional Months need to be identified to be eligible for the exam.

To use this spreadsheet (please read completely):-

1. Choose either 'Degree' or 'High School' in the yellow box above (this sets the number of hours & months you need to accumulate).
2. Enter the project name for each project you think you will need to use to accumulate the hours in the table above.
(Work backwards from today).
3. Enter the Primary Contact (Referee) for each project you think you will need to use to accumulate the hours in the table above.
(Project Sponsor / Manager / Director / Client / Primary Stakeholder - PMI may contact this person to verify your claim).
4. Go the tab (below) for each project in turn and enter the hours you feel appropriate against the tasks lists.
(We suggest printing the page and agreeing the times with your referee before submitting to PMI).
5. To qualify the time must have been spent 'directing and leading' a team to produce a 'deliverable' that you were responsible for.
- 'Directing & leading' = at least one other person working on the deliverable under your direction.
- 'Responsible' = responsible for some aspect of achieving / controlling / setting - time, cost and/or quality objectives
- Work you do on your own does not count!
6. Brief details of the 'project' and 'deliverables' should be entered into the space at the bottom of the task list. This information
is required by the application process and will need to be verified by your referee as part of an audit. Keep these descriptions
simple and avoid jargon, eg 'I led a team of 3 people conducting acceptance tests'. PMI require a minimum or 300 characters
and allow a maximum of 550 characters. The way the work is described must comply with PMI requirements, see
http://www.mosaicproject.com.au/pmp-courses/pmp-eligibility/ for details.
7. As you fill in the details for each project the 'Status' keeps count of the total number of hours still needed; once this shows a
negative value you have more than the required number hours for your application.
8. The system also checks there are some hours recorded in each of the 'Domains' - you must have some hours recorded in each
BUT you do not need hours against every domain in every project and you do not need hours against every line item in the
spreadsheet.
9. Finally go the 'Months' tab (after Project 12 on the right) and ensure you have the minimum number of months required.
10. For more information on the application requirements go to:- http://www.mosaicprojects.com.au/Training-PMP.html#Eligibility
11. The 35 hours of project management training required to be eligible for the exam must cover all 9 knowledge areas from the
PMBOK. Courses offered by PMI R.E.P.s such as Mosaic are pre-approved by PMI. For other courses, if audited the candidate
will need to demonstrate the appropriateness of the course by way of transcripts, etc.

12. Addtional information on the application process is on the 'Months' Tab.
