Insights on Divisional Charts

Divisional charts based on divisions between 1 and 12 operate in the physical plane.

They show physical matters. Body, wealth, residence, wife, children, parents – theseare all
matters relating to the physical self.
Divisional charts based on divisions between 13 and 24 (i.e. D-16, D-20 and D-24) operate in the
mental plane.

They show matters that exist at the mental plane. Sense of pleasure and unhappiness,
religiousness, learning and knowledge –

these are all matters relating to the mind and intellect.

Divisional charts based on divisions between 25 and 36 (i.e. D-27 and D-30) operate in the plane
of sub-consciousness.

One’s strengths, weaknesses, inherent nature, evils, certain psychological imbalances – these are
all matters relating to the

subconscious self.

Divisional charts based on divisions above 36 (i.e. D-40, D-45 and D-60) operate in a kaarmic
plane of existence that is above

physical self, mind and sub-conscious self. Based on the karma from previous lives, we all have
an existence at a level that

goes beyond the levels of body, mind and sub-consciousness. Existence at that level has a
considerable role in deciding the

pattern of one’s life, along with existence at the physical, mental and sub-conscious levels.
Higher divisional charts like D-40,

D-45 and D-60 throw light on this subtle aspect of chart analysis.

D-81 chart (Nava Navamsa)- HIDDEN FORTUNE

Again you would not have read anything about this chart and yes please don’t ask

me to give you any sources w.r.t this article…as all these information about D-81

chart, which I am giving you right now or about D-108 chart (which I have given

you earlier in an article named “how to see the next birth”) are part of my research

materials which I am sharing with you all. Though I was having some reservations

in sharing all these secret information because people find it difficult to absorb and

assimilate such deep information and some people also asks for source and irritate

me but then that almighty ordered me to just float this information so that Vedic

astrology can gain its earlier prominence in terms of accuracy and all of the general

public and astrologers can benefit from it.

So, be ready to get stumped by another great secret of this ancient science, which

may take you to the next step towards god as with the help of this kind of secret

information one can slowly realize that how meticulously and systematically god has

defined the limits of our breadth and lives.

so lets not waste any more time and allow me to hold your hand to take you

forward in yet another next level journey of D-81 chart (after D-108 chart which I
have deeply described in my earlier article) of Vedic astrology.

This divisional chart has a great word to say about the HIDDEN fortune of the

native. I have highlighted this hidden word because I really want all of you to

stabilize your minds on this very word to understand and feel the essence of this

chart. Hidden here could also mean some unexpected or unknown force or could be

a divine force too.

Before posting whatever little knowledge I have about this very important chart

(due to the blessings of God) would like to mention to my readers few very useful

points.

Navamsa chart or D-9 plays a significant role in correctly ascertaining and

modifying the final prediction results for any native.

Having said that, we must also remember that the Atmakaraka position (planet with

highest degree in lagan chart in any sign) in D-9 and the strength of the 9th house

of D-9 chart are the most IMPORTANT parameters to analyze in a navamsa chart.

(D-9)

Or in other words the strength/soul of the navamsa chart lies and rests in 2

parameters

a) In its 9th HOUSE and

b) The strength/influence/position of the atma karak.

Therefore both 9th house and the Atmakaraka are the Treasure points of the

navamsa chart.

Here it must be remembered that although each single bhava and planet has its

own importance but still 9th house & Atmakaraka in the navamsa chart are above
all.

Just Like the an Elephant in animals,

Ganga in the rivers,

Himalayas in the mountains and

Sun in the planets

The above mentioned introduction was absolute necessary to make a dive into D-81

chart treasures.

Now coming back to point of our focus

D-81 just acts like a navamsa of the navamsa chart (that’s why it is called NavNavamsa chart)

or D-9 of D-9.

9*9=81.

Hence in brief, D-81 is the Hidden FORTNE WINDOW present in the 9th house of

navamsa chart.

Having said that, it also brings to the surface the hidden nature of Atmakaraka and

dharma (another name of D-9 chart) both.

That’s why I have explained the importance of the 9th house & Atmakaraka in the

navamsa chart earlier.

Remember no where I am saying that other factors are not important but the above

2 parameters are very important.

Ok so let’s move ahead.

Take one concept very straight

“ALL HOUSES IN D-81 CHART WILL REFLECT THE HIDDEN FORTUNE OF THE

NATIVE w.r.t THAT PARTICULAR BHAVA and EACH PLANET SHOULD BE SEEN AS
MODIFYING THE RESULTS OF THAT PARTICULAR BHAVA in LINE TO THE

RESPECTIVE parameters of bhava.”

For example 2nd house of D-81 chart- will show the hidden money, add the

parameters of planets which is placed in or aspecting the 2nd bhava, and the

strength of those planets. Obviously when we say Strength of the 2nd lord or

planets placed in 2nd house then by strength we not only mean the strength of the

2nd lord in D-81 chart but also mean the whole shadbala of that planet and how

exactly it is working in Lagan,D-9 and D-60 charts( the 3 most important charts)

similarly 11th house will represent hidden gains through hidden fortune, 12th house

hidden losses through hidden fortune, 8th house hidden ideas or hidden struggle or

hidden long term disease, hidden knowledge etc through hidden fortune, 4th house

may tell you about hidden general happiness through hidden fortune, 7th househidden happiness
from spouse, business, long term partnership through hidden

fortune, like this.

Start the analysis of D-81 chart by judging the strength of the Atmakaraka and

obviously its placement. This would be the first parameter indicating the strength of

the general hidden fortune.

Also notice its position in the chart as that particular bhava qualities would be

significantly visible in the natives fortune.

See the aspect and conjunctions which are influencing the Atmakaraka, also look

which all planets are in Kendra with Atmakaraka.

The above is necessary because the planet, aspecting/conducting/or in Kendra with

Atmakaraka would manipulate the effects seen from Atmakaraka about the hidden

fortune.
Presence of shubh planet in a particular bhava will show the sources of hidden

fortune with respect to the qualities of that bhava.

Remember we are not looking at RAJ YOGAS and any materialistic aspects from this

chart, this is just to see the divine push in the form of planetary qualities of planets

influencing those bhavas and w.r.t the parameters of a particular bhava you have to

just see, in which all bhavas planets are placed whether those planets are

comfortable over there or not if yes that planet will confer hidden fortune to the

native w.r.t that bhava(according to the qualities of the planet involved) and if not

no hidden fortune will be experienced by the native w.r.t that parameters of that

bhava, so keep it simple and for GOD sake do not complicate the things. I have

seen that people find it difficult to apply the simple things and then fall prey to the

concepts by complicating them.

For example if somebody have Jupiter and moon in 11th House (being the lord of

9th, 2nd and 5th houses) for Scorpio lagan

Now how to interpret….in very brief…so that you all can understand the gist of

things….

Jupiter and moon in 11th house in Virgo: 11th house represent hidden gains

through hidden fortune, i.e. hidden gains through speech, family, available money

in hand (Jupiter being the lord of 2nd House), education, job, romance, Kids , past

merits etc (Jupiter also being the lord of 5th house), divine grace, religion, father,

fortune(Moon being the lord of 9th house)

Further results will be modified by analyzing the lord of 11th house and planet

aspecting the 11th house….and the strengths of all the planets involved(also thier
orientation in D-1,D-9 and D-60 charts)

Here, also add the qualities of the planets involved to the result like here we have

to take qualities of Jupiter and moon also in consideration.

This analysis will give the complete analysis of the hidden gains through hidden

fortune.

Like wise hidden fortune w.r.t all the bhavas can be determined….and then the sum

results could be declared after analyzing all the 12 bhavas of D-81 chart. This sum

result should be finally interpreted in the light of the results coming from

Lagan/cusp chart, D-9 chart and D-60 chart.

Om tat Sat.

The term Varga (Sanskrit varga, 'set, division') in Indian astrology (Jyotisha) refers to the
division of

a zodiacal sign (rāśi) into parts. Each such fractional part of a sign, known as an aṃśa, has a
source of

influence associated with it, so that these sources of influence come to be associated with
collections of

regions around the zodiac.

There are sixteen varga, or divisional, charts used in Jyotisha.[1] These vargas form the basis of
a unique

system of finding the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of planets.[2]

Overview[edit]

Hindu astrology divides the zodiac into several types of segments; these subtle divisions or
divisional charts

are called Vargas and are said to be the various micro-zodiacs created within the natural macro-
zodiac, the

Horoscope.[3]

The particular location of planets in the Varga charts materially influences the results of planets
constituting a

yoga. The two sets of vargas that are commonly used are – a) the Shadvarga i.e. the six-fold
division of sign

namely, the Rasi or sign, the Hora, the Drekkena or decanate, the Navamsa, the Dwadasamsa and
the

Trimsamsa, and b) the Saptavarga i.e. the seven-fold division, by tagging the Saptamsa to the
Shadvargas.

[4] Some follow the Dasavargas or the ten-fold division, and in his Bṛhat Parāśara

Horāśāstra, Parasara speaks about the Shodasvarga or the sixteen-fold division of a rasi. Planets
become

more and more auspicious by gaining more and more of their own, exalted or friendly vargas.
Accordingly, the

status thus acquired by planets stands graded for easy identification etc. When a planet acquires
two out of

sixteen such own or exalted vargas or divisions then it is known to have gained the status called
the

Parijatamsa or Bhedakamsa, when three vargas are gained then the Uttamamsa or Kusumamsa or

Vyanjanamsa, four – the Gopuramsa or Naagpushpamsa or Kimshukamsa or Chaamaramsa, five

– the

Simhasanamsa or Kundakamsa or Chhatramsa, six – the Parvatamsa or Keralamsa or

Kundalamsa, seven –

the Devalokamsa or Kalpavrkshamsa or Mukatamsa, eight – the Kumkumamsa or

Brahmalokamsa or
Chandanvanamsa, nine – the Iravatamsa or Poornachandramsa, ten – the Vyshnavamsa or
Shridham or

Ucchaishrvamsa, eleven – the Saivamsa Dhanvantriamsa, twelve – the Bhaswadamsa or

Suryakantamsa,

thirteen – the Vaisheshikamsa or Vidrumamsa, fourteen – the Indrasanamsa, fifteen – the

Golokamsa, and

sixteen – the Shrivallabhamsa (Bṛhat Parāśara Horāśāstra Slokas 42-51) (Sarvartha Chintamani
St.32-35).

Divisional charts[edit]

The Bṛhat Parāśara Horāśāstra defines sixteen divisional schemes,[5] each named according to
the

denominator of the fraction specific to the division. Thus, the integral fraction is division by 1,
which yields,

trivially, 12 regions of the zodiac corresponding to the 12 signs themselves: perforce this varga
scheme is

named rāśi. Similarly, a divisor of 2 defines 24 regions; the name horā, derived from the word
अअअ-अअअअअ (ahorātra) meaning day-night by removing the first अ (a) and last sounds अअअ
(tra) {Reference: Saravali by

Kalyanaverma (Sanskrit Classic)}, is etymologically related to the analogous 24 hours in a day.

The divisor of

3 defining 36 regions, named dreshkana, is similarly related to the Decans of Chaldean horology.

Varga Divisor Chart Area of Influence

Rasi 1 D-1 Body, Physical Matters and all General Matters

Hora 2 D-2 Wealth, Family

Dreshkana 3 D-3 Siblings, Nature

Chaturthamsa 4 D-4 Fortune and Property

Saptamsa 7 D-7 Children/Progeny

Navamsa (astrology) 9 D-9 Wife, Dharma and Relationships

Dasamsa 10 D-10 Actions in Society, Profession

Dvadasamsa 12 D-12 Parents

Shodasamsa 16 D-16 Vehicles, Travelling and Comforts

Vimsamsa 20 D-20 Spiritual Pursuits

ChaturVimsamsa 24 D-24 Education, Learning and Knowledge

SaptaVimsamsa 27 D-27 Strengths and Weakness

Trimsamsa 30 D-30 Evils, Failure, Bad Luck

KhaVedamsa 40 D-40 Maternal Legacy

AkshaVedamsa 45 D-45 Paternal Legacy

Shastamsa 60 D-60 Past birth or Karma

Four other vargas are attributed to Jaimini:

Varga Divisor Chart Area of Influence

Panchamsa 5 D-5 Fame & Power

Shasthamsa 6 D-6 Health

Ashtamsa 8 D-8 Unexpected Troubles

EkaDasamsa/Rudramsa 11 D-11 Death and Destruction

Besides Rāshi (D-1), Navamsha (D-9), Dreshkana (D-3), Dasamsa (D-10) and Trimsamsa (D-30)
are

considered significant divisional charts.

Implication[edit]

A planet situated in any one rasi i.e. sign, by itself constitutes a yoga or an ava-yoga owing to the
relationship

it establishes with the rasi-lord and other bhava-lords with reference to the Lagna and each other,
but its mere
occupation need not necessarily produce the results assigned for its such occupation. No planet
acts alone, it

becomes an active participant by having established an unavoidable relationship with one or

more other

planets; its assigned results are influenced by the rasi and the vargas gained, that is, according to
the vargawise status gained by it and the associating planets. The failure of the yogas to give the
expected results can

also be due to the varga-wise weak status of the dispositors of the yoga-forming planets rather
than the

weakness of these planets. The Sun situated in the 9th house from the lagna but not in an
inimical sign or

navamsa gives wealth, sons, friends and piety even though it makes one antagonistic towards
father and wife

and not experience happiness. However, the Sun as the lagna-lord exalted in the 9th makes the
person and

his father fortunate, have many brothers and friends, intelligent, adept, influential and renowned;
in case the

exalted Sun in the 9th is in its own navamsa or in vargottama but aspected by a friendly planet,
he will

enjoy Raja yoga.[6]

Janardan Harji in his Mansagari states that if at the time of birth any planet occupies a friendly
sign or its own

sign or is in its exaltation sign in a trikonabhava (trine) then that planet having gained many
favourable vargas

gives its assigned good results in full. One such planet makes one wealthy, and two adept,
successful and

renowned.[7] In the section devoted to arishtas and arishtabhanga of Chapter IV he reiterates that
if at birth a

strong (varga-wise) Mercury or Venus or Jupiter is situated in a kendrasthana from the lagna
even if combined
with an evil planet, it will single-handedly soon destroy all arishtas, and that the Moon situated in
the 8th

house from the lagna in a drekkena owned by Jupiter, Venus or Mercury will confer a long lease
of life.

Parasara states that the Moon in mutual aspect with Venus gives rise to Raja yoga; the person
born with the

Moon in Vargottma navamsa or in Goparamsa aspected by all strong planets will be a ruler even
if lowly-born,

three planets aspecting such Moon will make a person born in a royal family a king. A Raja yoga
arises if the

birth ascendant or hora-lagna or ghati-lagna is occupied by one or more planets occupying their
exaltation,

own or moola-trikona rasi, navamsa or drekkena; a person will certainly become a ruler if the
concerned lagna

equipped with unobstructed argala is occupied by Jupiter, Venus or the Moon (Bṛhat Parāśara
Horāśāstra

XXXV.14-16, 37). If the lord of a kendrasthana and a trikonabhava combining having gained
favourable

vargas give rise to Raja yoga; having gained Uttamamsa they will make a person a very wealthy
ruler, if in

Gopuramsa that person will be honoured by other rulers and if in Simhasanamsa the person will
be a great

ever-victorious ruling a large kingdom (Bṛhat Parāśara Horāśāstra XXXVI.18-20).

Venkatesa in his Sarvartha Chintamani (Slokas I.29 & 112) explains that planets occupying the

cruel Shashtiamsas (1/60th division of a sign) produce evil results, planets in good Shashtiamsas,
and which

planets are also occupying good vargas or divisions become powerful to confer good results and
that planets

in exaltation, in friendly signs, own navamsas, own rasis, drekkenas, shodasmsas and trimsamsas
possess
Sthanabala and exercise the most favourable influence.[8]

How to see the next birth(D-108)

ASHTOTTARAMSA- D-108 chart

Only few know about this, this is indeed the rarest concept of Vedic astrology. No astrological
text had ever disclosed this.

Yes we have all read that 5th house represents future birth, some say that 8th house has some
clue, some say without 12th

house ,this judgment cannot be made and other go to judge these houses in navamsa. Few regard,
5th house of dwadasamsa

chart (D-12) as the clue for this.

Keep all the above, tits bits of information aside and just read the following posts.

Firstly just go through this.

http://www.hknet.org.nz/108meaning.html

http://www.swamij.com/108.htm

http://koenraadelst.bharatvani.org/articles/misc/why108.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/108_(number)

If you have gone through above articles, you would agree that, There is not a single number
which has more relevance than

108.

In our Vedic astrology too, Chart D-108 is not an ordinary one. It varies every minute and only
after the rectification of D-60, it

can be fixed.

Have YOU EVER thought why every thing stops at 108???

Let me tell you FOR UNDERSTANDING PURPOSE!

Life begins at dwadasamsa chart (D12) (first trikond), so it is analogous to our lagan chart.

12* 5= 60 (2nd trikond)

So D60 relates to our past birth karmas (or past birth chart)

12*9 = 108 (3rd trikond)

So D108 definitely relates to our future birth.

The above concept should be taken for understanding purpose, not for calculation purpose.

In most of our ancient text, D-108 is regarded as the last chart.

Horoscope reading oscillates between these three trikond charts.

D12----D60----D108 and as, I said Lagan chart is analogous to our dwadasamsa chart and
navamsa is a supporting strength for

both lagan and dwadasamsa charts.

Now I would be explaining all the aspects of D-108 chart.

Lagan, 2nd, 3rd and 4th houses of D-108, gives information about our past life, next four houses
gives information about our

present life and last four about next life in particular.

Hence 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th houses of D-108 are of utmost importance as they are the houses
of next birth in our Next birth

chart or they are pure reflection of our next birth, without any mix up, before going ahead Note
that Increase / decrease in the

strength of each planet from shatyamsa (D-60) chart to D-108 chart can be used as a mirror, to
see nature of our karmas in this

life.

We can easily make out, in which aspect of life, we are going wrong.

If somebody is having uchh mercury in 7th house of shatyamsa and swarashi Venus in 8th house
there!

In D-108 chart if the native is having mars in 7th house in kanya and neech sun in 8th, It gives
very clear picture that the native

has got very nice wife in this life but due to his bad karmas in context of wife he has spoiled the
vitality of his 7th house which is

reflected in D-108 house, with the placement of mars in 7th house in kanya in D-108 and
deliberated sun in 8th house.
12th house of D-108 is the will give you the final decision as that will the native receive
"moksha" or not.

Few conditions;

1) If Atmakaraka is placed in 12th house of D-108 chart (in strength) with sun. (Atmakaraka
should be in strength, swarashi,

uchh or Mooltrikona)

Moksha is due in this life.

2) If 12th lord is placed in 12th house of D-108 chart with Atmakaraka in strength (there should
be no other aspect) and sun is in

its swa or uchh rashi.

Moksha is due in this life.

3) If all the planets are present in their own or uchh rashi’s, moksha is due.

4) If suppose 4 planets are exalted or swarashi in D-108 chart.

Then 3 births are still left for native to experience similarly if only 2 planets are not exalted or
swarashi, 2 births are still due. If

12th lord is placed in lagan of D-108 chart, One birth is still left for the native to experience, if
placed in 2nd house, 2 births are

left similarly in this manner if placed in 11th house, 12 births are still left to experience.

Planet aspecting or present in lagan or 7th house of D-108 chart, Will give information regarding
the qualities of the native that

dominated him in this life Or about the qualities which were most visible to the external world in
this life and the strength of that

planet will determine that, how well he has carried those qualities in this life ( If the native has
misused those very qualities, then

strength of that planet will show a decrease as compared to shatyamsa chart). 2nd and 4th houses
of D-108, will give a very

clear indication about the family, we would be getting in the next birth.
Presence of mercury, Jupiter, Venus and moon in 2nd house (in strength), Presence of Venus,
Jupiter, moon in 4th house (in

strength) will clearly indicate the royal next birth.

Exalted planets will also show the same thing.

Number of planets placed in 11th house of D-108 chart will account for number of births left for
the native.

2 planets--- 2 births

3 planets--- 3 births.

Here i want to clarify that actual count of number of births would be obtained only after the
application of all the conditions

(which I am describing in different posts).

We all know that 3 gund dominate us namely tamsik gund, rajsik gund, satvic gund. Placement
of dual rashi's in the Kendra of

D-108 chart will represent the dominance of satvic gund in our next life. Similarly, chara rashi
means tamsik gund & Sthira rashi

gives rajsik gund.

After applying, above mentioned condition, also check the strength of the corresponding planets.

Jupiter and sun for satvic gund, Venus, mercury for rajsik gund and Saturn, mars, Rahu, ketu for
tamsik gund.

Or you can say if satvic planets are weak and Kendra has dual rashi's then satvic gund will not
dominate.

On the strength of sun, moon, Jupiter and lagan and satvic rashi's (satvic gund) and weakness of
rajsik and tamsik gund, we

can decide that whether person will go to "uchh loks" after death or will again take birth on earth.

"Remember there is a difference between getting moksha and going to uchh loks"

After getting moksha, soul goes to "Param dham, vaikunth lok”, uchh loks Can be dev lok,
Brahma lok etc.
If atma karak is getting exalted in D-108 chart and lagan is having, very strong shubh mala yog
(like placement of uchh planets

in 2nd, 12th and lagan) and also sun and moon have good strength, then the soul would most
definitely go to uchh loks (in next

life).

Influence of sun, Jupiter, Saturn, ketu and moon (in strength) on 9th house of D-108 clearly
shows that native would follow

spiritualism in his next life.

Nature of Lord of 6th house in D-108 will show the nature of kind of enemies you will face in
your next life and its placement in

D-108 will show, that on what cost you will defeat him or you loose to him.

For example if the lord of 6th house is mercury- enemies in your next life would be intelligent
and would be an expert in planning

as Mars- shows ,they would use their muscle power, Jupiter- shows ,they would be very
knowledgeable and calm. Similarly

nature can be determined.

Now if suppose 6th lord in D-108 is placed in 2nd house.

It would give an indication that your family member is involved in the conspiracy and his aim
would be your family or money and

to defeat him, your speech and money power would prove beneficial in the next life.

(Paap prabhav on this 6th lord would mean your defeat)

If suppose 6th lord is place in 5th house, It would mean that enemy will have a direct impact on
your mind.

He can ruin your mental peace and progress of your kids in next life and to defeat him, your
intelligence would prove beneficial.

Similarly results can derived!

Placement of uchh or swarashi planets (should include Atmakaraka) in the 4th, 8th and 12th
houses of D-108 chart is a clear
indication of liberation from birth death cycle after this life.

Note that no planet should be in deliberation in D-108 for the fulfillment of the above condition
also the 3 planets in 4th, 8th and

12th houses should not enter in a planetary war.

Nature and strength of the 10th lord of D-108 chart indicates the nature and strength of karmas
we are doing or going to do, in

this life.

Placement of the 10th lord in D-108 will signify the qualities or parameters involved in carrying
out those karmas. For example If

10th lord is sitting in the 7th house, It would mean that karmas have an attribute of business,
foreign travel, reputation building,

Involvement of females etc.

If 10th lord is sitting in 2nd house, It would mean that karmas are linked with money (w.r.t
qualities of that planet), family, speech

(public speaking etc), teaching etc.

Few more concepts about D-108 chart, through which our current life could be neatly sketched.

Just learn this;

1st house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 5th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

2nd house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 6th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

3rd house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 7th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

4th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 8th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

5th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 9th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

6th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 10th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)
7th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 11th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

8th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 12th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

9th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 1st house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart).

10th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 2nd house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

11th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 3rd house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

12th house of D-108 chart is the sum outcome of 4th house of (shatyamsa chart, Navamsa and
Lagan chart)

Presence of strong lagan adhi yog in D-108 chart will surely reflect.

That native will become an emperor in the next birth.

For example; If moon, Jupiter, mercury and venus are present in 6th, 7th and 8th house with
strength in D-108 chart like;

Venus exalted in 6th house, moon exalted in 8th house and Jupiter in 7th house.

Or

Jupiter exalted in 6th house, mercury exalted in 8th house and moon in 7th house.

Or

Moon exalted in 6th house, Jupiter exalted in 8th house and venus in 7th house.

11th house of D-108 will account for net result of all the accumulated desires in all the previous
births.

For example; Presence of uchh ketu in 11th house will show that all the desires of native all
fulfilled and therefore will become

one of the indications for final "moksha"

Presence of uchh Saturn in 11th house will show that, path of meditation on which native was
walking in his past births is still left
unexplored, which would take one more birth to be explored completely.

Uchh Jupiter in 11th--- would mean native has acquired all the knowledge in his past lives, and
will enter in a phase of

meditation in next life.

Uchh venus in 11th--- It would mean that all the worldly desires for the native are fulfilled, and
will now start acquiring supreme

knowledge in his next life.

Similarly results for other planets could be derived, ABOVE results are applicable only when
there is no malefic influence on the

said planets.

Any relation between trikond lords and 11th lord in D108 chart would most definitely mean that
native is not following spiritualism

in this life and he is moving away from satva gund.

Similarly relation of trikond lord with 12th lord would mean that native is on the path of
spiritualism in this life.

Above results are conclusive only when the involved planets are free of malefic influences

Strong relations between 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th lords in D-108 chart is a clear
indication that native would lead a very

luxurious life in his next birth without following the path of dharma.

Strong relations between 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 12th lords in D-108 chart is similarly a clear
indication that native would be

devoted to the path of dharma in his next life.

If the D-108 chart have uchh or swarashi planets in 1st, 2nd, 12th, 5th, 9th houses with no
malefic influence

on 4th ,6th,8th and 10th houses then native will acquire a seat of Indra in his next life and would
mean that Lord Indra has taken

incarnation on earth due to some curse.

If all the planets are present in the 12th house of D-108 chart, It would most definitely assure
him, next life in vaikunth lok (Lok of

lord Vishnu).

If all the planets are placed in 3rd, 7th and 11th house of D-108 chart, with Venus and mars
conjuncting each other. It would

mean that Native will earn money through prostitution in his next life.

Facts on D-108 may look less relevant and may appear to have a tenuous basis but the case is
just reverse.

Only few people in India, know about the correct usage of shatyamsa chart (D-60) with the help
of Moola dasha and let me

assure you that if someone knows about the same , THIS D-108 chart will turn out be the
Platinum chart of the whole Vedic

astrology.

You must be wondering how?

From the ancient times itself, astrology is used as the prime tool, which could help us to
understand the karma cycle of the

nature.

The above understanding involve a very close tracking of the strengths of planets present in our
charts and then as per that to ,

bring a change in our day to day deeds

so that we can achieve our final destination (Attainment of enlightenment).

CHANGE IN THE STRENGTHS OF EACH PLANET FROM SHATYAMSA TO D-108 is the

final verdict of that understanding.

D-108 is the first rough sketch of our next birth chart.

So if the strength of the venus is decreasing from shatyamsa chart to D-108, we very clearly
know where to improve as it would

mean that, we are not on the right track as far as the qualities of venus are concerned hence we
have a reasonable chance to
alter that rough sketch ( and This very knowledge is the purpose of the whole astrology)

Lagan and navamsa charts can tell you nothing concrete about these most important aspects of
astrology.

Hence D-108 is the most important chart- to see the progress of our soul.

You can derive the conditions of moksha from 2 ways

1) D-60, D-108

2) Death chart.

Both will give the same result and both can be independently analyzed

Whatever rules I have listed in this thread have to be applied simultaneously.

For example; let me first list all rules concerning calculating number of future births, once again.

1) Number of births left as per the placement of 12th lord.

2) Number of birth left as per the, Number of planets who have not gained "swarashi, and
exaltation strength"

3) Number of birth as per the No. of planets placed in 11th house.

See whether rule no. 3 is applicable or not (like if the 11th house is empty apply the first rule)

Find out the number out of the rule no. 1 or 3(which ever applicable)

Then add the Number derived from rule no. 2, you will get the no. of births left.

If rule 3 is applicable then add that no. also to the final number.

POINTS TO BE NOTED or exceptions;

1) All the rules which I have mentioned for giving MOKSHA preside over above three rules.

2) If a planet is getting swarashi or uchh in 11th house, DO NOT the count that planet for
deriving no. of births left.

I don’t know whether I have mentioned this earlier or not.

Atmakaraka, sun and moon are very important planets in D-108, If all three are either swarashi
or exalted and If any one out of
these 3 gets exalted in 12th house of D-108 with no malefic influence, then it confirms Moksha

Further any paap prabhav on a grah further adds to the number of births equivalent to its
Maximum rays.

Sun = 30, Mars = 6, Jupiter = 10, Moon = 16, Mercury = 8, Venus = 12 & Saturn = 1

Here point to note is, any planet could prove malefic as per its placement and conjunction in D-
108 chart.

like if exalted venus is aspecting Jupiter placed in Virgo with its neech aspect then no. of births
from Jupiter would become 3(6-

7,7-8,8-9)+12(contributed by venus rays)

Also remember that if a planet is exalted or swarashi then the added births due to planetary rays
SHOULD NOT be taken into

account.

Like if the same Venus in pieces aspects exalted mercury in Virgo then there would be no added
births from venus rays.

Astrology

Nikhil, Specializes in more or less every tool of Vedic Astrology, which has made his approach
more practical, approachable and

understandable.

He has analyzed more than 1,00000 horoscopes till date, which has collectively given his
predictions and research a strong

spine of expereince.

Nikhil has been extremely accurate in his analysis w.r.t to his predictions related to individual
horoscopy.He employs the
techniques advocated by Rishi Parashara and Jaimini. He also holds a great degree of command
in Nadi Astrology.

Recently Nikhil, analyzed a case w.r.t girl called Antonia who was kidnapped from Croatia, and
accurately predicted things like

the Nameletters of the Kidnapper', Direction in which he would have taken to the girl, purpose of
the kidnapping, Past

background of the kidnapper and nature of his work, place narration, whether the girl is alive or
not, whether the girl would come

back or not, whether the place would be far off or near from the Croatia, color of the clothes of
the kidnapper at the time of

kidnapping withthe help of Prashna Chart(question chart)

Research Work & Future Projects

1) Nikhil through his research work have discovered a method to determine the conception time
astrologically, the results of

which are even accurate than Naegele’s Rule.

Benefits of conception chart

a) To detect various kind of pregnancies complications and take necessary precautions for the
benefit of the mother, child and

society as a whole.

b) Accurate dating of pregnancy is important, because it is used in calculating the results of

various prenatal tests, for example,

in the triple test. A decision may be made to induce laborif a fetus is perceived to be overdue.
Furthermore, if LMP and

ultrasound dating predict different respective due dates, with the latter being later, this might
signify slowed fetal growth and

therefore require closer review.

c) To have a detailed sketch of the whole life pattern of the native’s life and fortune just like the
birth chart.
d) To determine the detailed character and personality of the unborn native or who would be
born after 9 months (ideally).

2) He has also given a detailed research writing of D-108(number)(Ashtottaramsa) chart to

determine the details related to the

future birth of the native, the least known topic in Vedic Astrology.

3) Apart from the above researches, Nikhil is also carrying out extensive research work (since
past many years) on how to

determine the occurrence of the natural disasters in advance. To employ and execute the
applicability of this research, he also

intend to form a body which could assist the National Disaster management of India in taking
preventive measures in case of a

possibility of such an event. This research has the potential to save billions of lives worldwide.

http://www.nikhilworld.com/hidden-loss-d-144-chart.html

Hidden Loss (D-144 chart)

Hidden Loss (D-144 chart) [Dwadasamsa Dwadasamsa]

Since past few months, I was not able to find time to share my researches on account of huge
clients pressure, management of

website, blog, page, 10’s of forums on facebook along with various other commitments etc, but
finally by god’s grace your friend

Nikhil has decided to put some light on D-144 chart (Dwadasamsa Dwadasamsa chart).
As you all know that I have already shared my views on various other higher divisional charts
like D-60 chart, D-108 chart, D-81

chart but the only important higher divisional chart which was left was D-144 chart. So with this
article, the left vaccum in the

series of higher divisional charts would be eliminated.

Now before moving ahead with the main topic, let me put a word of caution for everyone out
there, that all the following

information on D-144 chart is purely part of your friend Nikhil’s research and source w.r.t the
same cannot be found anywhere in

this world. As you all may recall that my write up’s on other higher divisional charts like D-81
chart, D-108 chart etc which I had

written few years back also had the same caution.

Short point is, please don’t ask your friend Nikhil to give you the source as you are already
reading the source.

Now coming straight to the point.

For the beginners, let me mention that 12th house in Astrology basically governs Expenses,
losses, renunciation, enlightenment,

lonely places, charity, journey to far off distant lands etc

In other words, all those things or avenues which may take us away from materialistic wealth or
materialistic world are governed

by the 12th house.

In short 12th house basically represent Loss.

Now though this may look very simple to you and many of you would say, come on nikhil we
know all this that 12thhouse

represent loss, tell us something new, tell us about D-144 chart directly, so that we could learn it
and immediately apply it. So all

those people who are in so much hurry, must remember that if I am giving you some introduction
then there must be some
reason for that. Though I know that you all trust me and its the love of people like you along
with the blessings of that almighty,

my parents because of which I am able to do something constructive.

So keep reading following sentences VERY CAREFULLY.

I am deliberately writing few sentences in a special sequence and all those people who would be
able really grasp the essence

of the following sentences are indeed the fortunate ones for sure.

As the scale of sentences would increase the INTENSITY of its hidden meaning will also
increase, so read these sentences

SLOWLY.

REMAIN IN A HIGH CONCENTRATION STATE (Don’t sleep) and let NIKHIL TAKE
OVER YOUR MIND:

Be focussed as I am hypnotizing some of you and you may also get hypnotized for your benefit:

Here, by ‘loss’ I mean the end of the journey of our soul. [Scale 1 sentence]

Or

When our karma cycle (cycle of doing deeds) would end. [Scale 2 sentence]

Or

A stage where you are completely detached from all your karmas (deeds) [Scale 3 sentence]

Or

When we DO NOT expereince the fruits of our own deeds (good or bad). [Scale 4 sentence]

Or

A stage where all your actions are done by god himself and since God himself is devoid of
Karma, the fruits (good or bad) of

those karmas (actions) does NOT RETURN TO YOU. [Scale 5 sentence]

Or

A Stage where your life is not different from the life of GOD [Scale 6 sentence]
Or

A stage where you have lost your identity. [Scale 7 sentence]

Or

A stage where God has completely taken over you. [Scale 8 sentence]

Or

A stage where even after losing your own identity you feel like you have gained everything in
this universe. [Scale 9 sentence]

Or

A stage where nothing exist still everything can be felt. [Scale 10 sentence]

Or

A stage where ALL the LOSES ARE MINIMIZED to SUCH an EXTENT that what is left with
you is GOD HIMSELF [Scale 11

sentence]

Or

A stage known as MOKSHA [Scale 12 sentence] or enlightenment.

Now you all may relax your concentration levels and your nerves.

I hope, now you all must be realizing that reading the word ‘loss’ was not important, Feeling &
understanding that LOSS, was

actually important and your friend nikhil wanted all of you to feel that LOSS effect, so that you
all may connect with that almighty.

Now quickly coming back to our topic and lets start listing all concepts necessary to understand
D-144 chart:

12*1=12--- D-12 chart reflects basic destiny pattern of this birth. (source being parents)

Yes people use it for seeing PARENTS, this is also correct and your friend nikhil is not denying
that but If anyone will think

sensibly, he/ she will immediately accept that parents are NO LESS than GOD for human beings,
that’s why parents have been
given the "PLACE OF GOD" in our Vedas.

Everything started from God and since parents is our god, our journey started from D-12 chart.

Remember don’t confuse your mind with thoughts like, Lagan chart is the 1st chart, things
started from lagan chart, NO, this line

of thinking is incorrect.

All the divisional charts have not come from space, they have been derived from lagan chart
ONLY. So you can say that

D-12 chart is that mathematical angle or side of lagan chart (D-1 chart) which shows our
ACTUAL start. (i.e. our

parents)

12*5=60--- D-60 chart has summation results of all the past births (that’s why it’s the most
important chart), Earlier also I have

dedicated complete article on D-60 chart. (Kindly refer that article for more details)

http://www.nikhilworld.com/d-60-chart-and-moola-dasha.html

12*9=108--- Therefore D-108 chart, is none other than the FUTURE birth chart (IT shows our
next birth) - I have earlier also

dedicated complete article on D-108 chart. (Kindly refer that article for more details)

http://www.nikhilworld.com/how-to-see-the-next-birthd-108.html

12*12=144- Therefore D-144 chart, represent the end of our destiny pattern which started from
our parents (D-12 chart),

end of desitiny pattern means, end of the journey of soul and merging our identity with god
himself (as explained

above). So you can say that D-144 chart is that mathematical angle or side of lagan chart (D-1
chart) which shows our

end or loosing everything including our identity

D -144 chart (Dwadasamsa Dwadasamsa chart) will give you the GREATEST information
about:
Your "HIDDEN LOSS" [I have used the term ‘hidden’ with ‘loss’, because the ACTUAL
MEANING of loss is•

always hidden from general eyes. (As I have explained through my 12 scale sentences mentioned
above)]

How much far away are you from the end of your Soul journey•

Or How soon you will get Moksha•

Now for enlightenment or to merge with god, your "Hidden loss" should be MINIMIZED [as I
mentioned in the 11thscale

sentence above]:

Hence:

a) Malefics are most welcome in quadrants in this chart. (So that it becomes difficult for hidden
loss to flourish)

b) All Planets (especially luminaries sun (our soul) and moon (our mind)) should be very weak in
this chart. [Since you

have to completely lose your identity, your soul and your mind for god himself]

c) Debilitated planets are most welcome in this chart. (So that all planets become incapable for
giving any kind of

hidden loss). All planets should support the END of our journey so that birth death cycle finally
stops as soon as

possible.

d) WEAK and afflicted Benefics give best results (w.r.t ending our journey) in Panaphar sthans
(2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th

houses) in this chart

e) All planets should be badly placed, like lord of quadrants in 8th house, lord of trik houses in
quadrants etc.

f) Conjunctions of malefics and of planets which are enemies to each other, is desirable.

In short, do NOT search for any kind of Raj yog like scenario in this chart.

Thanks for reading the article with patience. May god bless you all, Bye, tc, Regards, Nikhil.

Profession and Astrology

Undoubtedly each and every person on this planet would be having curiosity to know about his
or her profession in advance,

questions like which all fields suits me professionally, in which area should I establish my
business, what would I do after my

school or graduation, will I be able to get established in my profession, will I stick to one field or
will I change many fields in my

life time and the list of such questions are never ending. You all must be thinking, why Nikhil is
listing so many questions right in

the beginning of his article, simple, I want to catch the interest of all those people who have such
questions oscillating in their

mind. Many people again and again reminded me to write something on this topic but you all
know that the only issue with your

friend Nikhil is time. So finally I am able to steal some time (after putting the reports of some of
my clients on hold) to write on

this one of the most important topic of all times.

So without wasting any time let’s move step by step, to analyze astrological reasoning’s behind
someone’s career or profession.

Any guesses, what should be the first step in the analysis of profession.

I am asking this question to all those people who know little bit of astrology, but all those people
who do not know even the abcd

of astrology, they should just relax, as I have written this article for you people only, as you will
completely read through the

article, you will definitely learn a lot.

So guys, what should be the first step.

Hmm, I can hear whispers, saying, Nikhil, obviously we have to start from:

a) 10th house (house of career) and 10th lord.

b) Some more intelligent ones would even include the state of 10th lord in D-9 chart

c) And as per few absolutely brilliant ones; most of the steps should start and end in the D-10
chart (dasamsa-divisional chart

seen for Career related issues).

Believe me, there are many intelligent fools out there, who will immediately jump into the D-10
chart analysis ignoring the most

basic concepts, these brilliant people are the first ones, who makes the complete mess from
astrological rules. I am not saying

that D-10 chart should not be analyzed, of-course it should be analyzed but NOT in the very
starting.

So, those of you who are thinking in the line of any of the above 3 points (a, b, c) are completely
wrong. None of these touch

points should be your first step in the analysis of profession.

Anyways, I don’t think that there was anybody out there who was thinking otherwise, but if you
will ask me, I would say that

these are certainly not the starting points or the first step. Yes obviously they are also important
but not at the FIRST STAGE.

So here comes the first rule, “before analyzing the Houses and their lords (w.r.t any area of life,
like in this case its

profession), YOU HAVE TO ANALYZE the KARAKA FIRST.”

House and lords comes later, ANALYSIS of KARAKA should always be the first step.

Indeed this is the reason why before analyzing the first house and 1st lord, we first have to
analyze the SUN, which happens to

be the karaka of 1st house

State of the Sun is the first brick of ASTROLOGY, since it’s the Karaka of 1st house.
So hope you people are getting what exactly your friend Nikhil is trying to explain. Hence From
here, we will learn everything

from scratch.

Remember I am not asking you to omit, house and lord analysis, certainly not, I am just asking
you to ANALYSE KARKA first.

So what are the Karakas then, let me just list all possible karakatvas for the beginners.

Planets and their Karakatvas

Jupiter (karaka for 2nd, 5th, 9th, 10th and 11th houses) as Jeevakaraka (Self) for Males

Venus (karaka for 7th house) as Jeevakaraka (Self) for Females, Venus is also for Wife, Finance,
vehicles, daughter, daughter

in law, Younger sister (2nd)

For Profession, elder brother consider Saturn (karaka for 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th houses)

For Husband, Younger brother (2nd) consider Mars (karaka for 3rd and 6th houses)

For mother, Elder sister, mother in law consider Moon (karaka for 4th house)

For Father, soul and son consider Sun (karaka for 1st, 9th and 10th houses)

For Paternal Grand Father consider Rahu

For Maternal Grand Father consider Ketu

For education, Maternal Uncle, girl friend, boy friend, father in law, Younger sister (3rd),
Younger brother (3rd) consider mercury

(karaka for 4th and 10th houses)

Now you all must be wondering that why the hell Nikhil is giving these Karakas even more
importance than Houses and house

lords, so dear all understand this in just 1 sentence;

If you are living in a rented house, then will you be more important or your landlord would be
more important from the angle of

ownership? Obviously landlord, since landlord is the permanent owner of your residence. If he
wishes, he may throw you out.
Right

Similarly Karakas have permanent ownership of all possible parameters; you may have 7
different lords (there are 7 planets

excluding nodes) of any house as per different ascendant but karaka will permanently represent
any specific parameter or

house.

Whatever may be the ascendant Aries, Taurus, Gemini etc, but Sun will always be the karaka of
your 1st house, 9thhouse,

10th house and father, any planet may lord over 4th house, depending on the ascendant sign but
Moon will always be the Karaka

of your 4th house and mother.

Ok so now let’s come back to our main topic which is profession.

Now you know that first step has to be karaka, hence Saturn is the Karaka for profession or you
can say Saturn is the karma

karaka and Jupiter is your Jeevakaraka (self significator), hence whenever you wish to study
about your (Self-Jupiter) career

(Karma-Saturn) astrologically, then you have to start your analysis from Saturn and Jupiter.

10th lord, 10th house, 10th sign, Navamsa sign of 10th lord, D-10 chart, ALL THIS WILL
COME LATER, Hope I am very clear on

this.

So, the most powerful influences on your Saturn and Jupiter will actually determine the basic
stream of your career and many a

times your area of interest or passion. These influences on your Saturn and Jupiter will give you
the first clue about your area of

profession.

The question arises here is, how;

Now to answer this ‘how’; the first thing you all need to know is the parameters which falls
under each planet, so that you all
could come on my wavelength because you know that your friend Nikhil cannot walk alone on
this path of learning, I need to

take all of you along with me. Right! So first I will list few concepts and then I will answer that
‘how’ through a very simple

example:

Sun rules over business/jobs related to:

Government service (also top posts in government), Social service, politics, Father’s profession,
Gold and Diamond Merchants,

top surgeons, electronics, teachers and researchers of political and social sciences.

You must also remember that in the above scenario if sun & Saturn are weak in the chart (after
taking many other factors into

account), then the linkage of sun with Saturn will bring hardships in native’s professional life,
Native will be troubled by the

people sitting in power and would even find it very difficult to get a job. Even if he gets a job,
remuneration would be less. The

employer will always find fault with him and the native will never get satisfaction in career. Yes
in case both sun and Saturn are

very good in the chart (after taking into account many factors), then things would be completely
reverse as then power, honor

and fame all will come to the native.

Moon rules over business/jobs related to:

Milk or milk products- Diary business,

Water- sailor, shipping, salt merchant (since salt is found in water), water merchants (like people
selling mineral water), water

sports (but when we say sports, then there is also involvement of mars), pearl merchants (since
pearls are found in ocean and

represent moon), Water Board Sewage department &

Food -cook, waiter, Hotel (Hotel Management also falls under this), Grass & plants & vegetable
& fruits vendor, Agriculture &
Farmers, grocery shop, edible oil merchant, fruit juice or wine merchants, Baker, animal food,

Medicines-Purchase and sales of medicines, Nurse, compounder

Apart from this moon also governs Hawkers, dry cleaners, Artists, Psychologists (stream of
psychology), Chemists (science of

chemistry), astrologers, story writers & priests

You must also remember that in the above scenario if moon & Saturn are weak in the chart (after
taking many other factors into

account), then the linkage of moon with Saturn will bring unnecessarily travel or the native will
have displacement very often on

account of his profession. Money loss would be continuous and native will even get
defame/blame in carrier. Ultimately mental

peace would suffer. Yes in case both moon and Saturn are very good in the chart (after taking
into account many factors), then

things would be much less negative, could also be very good depending on other factors.

Mars rules over business/jobs related to:

Machines- Engineering, Iron Industry, machine handler, Professions Connected with Metal and
mineral (Mining, carpenter,

mechanic, blacksmith), Instrument manufacturing

Weapons and courage- Defense services (police department, military, fire department), Weapons
& arms dealing

Sports related professions

Stone & mud related jobs/work: Stone breaking, Granite industries, sculpture, potter, agriculture
& brick kiln

Apart from the above mars also governs Butchers, barbers, antiquities related work, Teachers
and researchers of physics
You must also remember that in the above scenario if mars & Saturn are weak in the chart (after
taking many other factors into

account), then the linkage of mars with Saturn will bring hardship throughout his/her life. People
will be harassing the native in

his work place. Even getting a well paid job would become difficult. The person in this case
would be in habit of changing

his/her job frequently as either the employer will find fault with him or native himself would
never get satisfaction in his profile.

Yes in case both mars and Saturn are very good in the chart (after taking into account many
factors), then things would be much

less negative. Could also be very good depending on other factors

Mercury rules over business/jobs related to:

Education: teacher, novelist, writer, author, examiner, mathematics, lecturer, professor, clerk,
accountant, statisticians.

Communication: News paper, News paper vendor, postal and telegraph, printing press, telephone
department, journalism,

editor, commission agents, postman, broker, journalist, public speaker, ambassador, imports and

draftsman, stationery merchant

Decision takers, law makers, law implementation: Auditor, lawyer, judge, councilor,
ambassador, CBI agents, legal adviser,

inspector, consultants, advisors, astrologers,

Apart from above mercury also governs Painter/drawing, landlord, compositor and general
business possibilities.

You must also remember that in the above scenario the linkage of mercury with Saturn will give
native a comfortable business.

Cooperation will be there from all the sides. Native will earn a lot of money in his business and
will buy lands, property etc. Yes
in case mercury or Saturn is weak in the chart, then the story would get completely reversed as
then hardships/struggle would

creep in.

Jupiter rules over business/jobs related to:

Religion: Priest, temple Workers, Yogasana Teacher, Religious teacher, philosophers, Vedic
teachers

Finance/wealth: bankers, Finance Department, Insurance, accountants

Decision takers, law makers: Auditors, Manager, Ministers (especially education minister),
lawyers & judges

You must also remember that in the above scenario the linkage of Jupiter with Saturn will give a
comfortable career to the

native. The life will be very smooth along with honor and respect. Native will enjoy all the
luxuries and would easily find a good

job. Cooperation from respectable persons will also be there. Yes in case Jupiter or Saturn is
weak in the chart, then the story

would get completely reversed as then hardships/struggle would creep in.

Venus rules over business/jobs related to:

Various forms of Arts: Artists, musician, musical instruments, singer, performer, dancer,
dramatist, story writing, poetry, acting,

cinema, theatre, painting, sculpture

Luxury & beauty: Luxury Goods, vehicles, cloth and textile industry, Five-star hotels, furniture
industry, Bar and restaurants,

gift articles, makeup job

,showcase items, flower merchants, marriage hall, beauty context,

Commerce, Finance and wealth: Treasurer, Accountant, Auditor, insurance, money lending,
financial organizations, bank

commission agent, Finance Minister

Apart from above Venus also governs tourism, prostitution, Drinks (alcohol, wine and fruit
juice), marketing and housekeeping.

You must also remember that in the above scenario the linkage of Venus with Saturn then the
person will be very rich with all the

luxuries at his disposal. Native will have his own house, vehicle and will get benefited through
wife/spouse. Yes in case Venus or

Saturn is weak in the chart, then the story would get completely reversed as then
hardships/struggle would creep in.

Saturn rules over business/jobs related to:

People working in mines or owning mines, cleaners, security guards, peon, sweepers, cobbler,
brick Layers

Rahu rules over business/jobs related to:

Labor oriented jobs: coolie, Vehicle drivers, cycle rickshaw pullers, load man, stone breakers,
stone quarry workers, gardeners,

chemicals) and electronics

Trade: Related to foreign land, sale and purchase of old articles

Apart from the above rahu also governs over photographers, actors, gas agents, snake keepers
and prison

You must also remember that in the above scenario the linkage of Rahu with Saturn then the
person will undergo initial
subordination and this may also result in poverty. But in the later part of life he will become an
eminent personality with lot of

experience. In case Rahu or Saturn is weak in the chart, then only hardships/struggle would
dominate the person’s life.

Ketu rules over business/jobs related to:

Divinity and Healing: Doctor, priest, astrologers, occultist, pranic healers, divine healer, sages,
saints, yogis,siddhas, fakirs,

dealing with natural herbs/medicines, religious teachers, theology, religion, faith healers and

Apart from the above Ketu also governs over lawyers, Fisherman, tailors/ weavers, knitters,
snake dealers/players, hunters,

beggars, wire man, power loom industries and spinning mills.

You must also remember that in the above scenario if Ketu & Saturn are weak in the chart (after
taking many other factors into

account), then the linkage of Ketu with Saturn will bring suffrage in his job throughout his life.
Satisfaction would seriously lack.

Changes and disputes in job would be unavoidable.

The person behave feel very lonely and alone. Yes in case both Ketu and Saturn are very good in
the chart (after taking into

account many factors), then success, respect and peace will oblige the native.

Hence as soon as you locate linkage(degree wise closeness, sign exchange, trine placement and
mutual aspect) of

ANY PLANET with Jupiter (Jeeva karaka) or Saturn (karma karaka), career in the fields
mentioned corresponding to

that planet are possible, BUT remember, never give judgment just on the basis of this rule alone
as there could be

simultaneous effect of more than 1 planet on your Jupiter and Saturn, in that case you have to
mix some results (which
would demand practice) and Secondly we also have to take into account the effect of 10th sign,
10th lord (as per the

cusp chart), Navamsa depositor of 10th lord, D-10 chart etc. Therefore, restraint yourself in
giving any immediate

conclusion

Ok so now, you all basically know that which all types of professions falls under which planets
and how exactly you

will take your first step in predicting the profession area of the person.

After analyzing the karaka and the planetary influences on it in the first step, now in the second
step you all need to

focus your attention on these 6 points:

a) Professions coming under the scope of 10th lord (as per the cusp chart),

b) The professions coming under the scope of the sign coming in 10th cusp.

c) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by this 10th cusp lord in lagan
chart and

d) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by karma karaka Saturn.

e) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by 10th cusp lord in D-9 chart.
(i.e. Navamsa sign of

10th cusp lord)

f) Professions coming under the scope of planets influencing (through aspect or placement) the
1st house of D-10

chart (If no planet aspects or is placed in the first house of your D-10 chart, then take lord of 1st
house in D-10 chart)

Similarly the most powerful influences on Venus (for males) and on mars (for females) will
actually determine the basic stream of

your spouse career and many a times your area of his/her interest or passion. These influences on
your Venus/mars will give

you the first clue about his/her area of profession.

After analyzing the karaka and the planetary influences on it in the first step, now in the second
step you all need to focus your

attention on these 6 points:

a) Professions coming under the scope of 7th lord (as per the cusp chart),

b) The professions coming under the scope of the sign coming in 7th cusp.

c) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by this 7th cusp lord in lagan
chart and

d) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by karaka Venus for males/mars
for females.

e) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by 7th cusp lord in D-9 chart.
(i.e. Navamsa sign of 7th cusp

lord)

f) Professions coming under the scope of planets influencing (through aspect or placement) the
1st house of D-9 chart (If no

planet aspects or is placed in the first house of your D-9 chart, then take lord of 1st house in D-9
chart)

I have already listed the professions coming under the scope of each planet above but let me now
list all the

professions which fall under each sign, so that points b, c, d and e mentioned above can be
interpreted.

I know after reading all those, a, b, c, d, e and f points many of you must be wondering that
Nikhil, like this all the professions of

the world would suit everybody BUT DEAR ALL, this is simply not the case.

As I have said that the most important factor is your 1st step based on karaka. POINTS a, b, c, d,
e and f, SHOULD BE JUST

USED TO FINE TUNE THE PREDICTION LAID DOWN BY THE FIRST STEP.

MAIN STREAM of profession should be decided on the basis of first step only. Rest all the
factors would help us to narrow down

our observation & analysis.

Finally practice is needed, to derive the results.

Now let me just take an example to make you understand the methodology more clearly and
emphatically.

These are my birth chart details:

Nikhil Gupta

02nd Nov 1984

09:11:11am

Delhi, India

I have taken my educational Qualifications in the field of electronics and communication

engineering (4 years) andMBA

(marketing) (2 years), I had done the Job in world’s number 1 consulting firm in the field of
telecom auditing (for 1 year) just

after my B.tech. Since the age of 18, I am also into various occult practices like Vedic Astrology
(Since last 8 years-Still

Active), palmistry (since last 12 years -Still Active), face reading (since last 5 years-Still Active),
handwriting reading
(since last 5 years-Still Active), Vastu (since last 5 years-Still Active) andnumerology (since last
5 years-Still Active) but

my current earning are coming from the field of Vedic Astrology only(Since last 2 years). Apart
from this I have written an

unpublished book on Hindi-Urdu poetry (since last 8 years-Still Active) and I am also practicing
singing (since last 12

years-Still Active) (hence also plans to make my career in the field of music). I write a lot on
occult subjects, hence I am also

into writing (Since last 8 years-Still Active) and I also teach occult subjects, hence you can say
that I am also into teaching

(Since last 8 years-Still Active).

I am taking my example because I am into so many fields that my chart would serve as a detailed
example for making you all

understand the exact methodology of interpretation.

Basically we have to analyze that which all astrological factors have forced me into these fields
and with what intensity (i.e. since

how long I am into a particular field).

Hence search for astrological basis w.r.t these fields electronics and communication engineering
(4 years), MBA

(marketing) (2 years), telecom auditing (for 1 year), Vedic Astrology (Since last 8 years-Still
Active) and other occult

fields (Like palmistry (since last 12 years -Still Active), face reading (since last 5 years-Still
Active),handwriting reading

(since last 5 years-Still Active), Vastu (since last 5 years-Still Active) and numerology (since last
5 years-Still

Active)), Hindi-Urdu poetry (since last 8 years-Still Active), singing (since last 12 years-Still
Active), writing (Since last 8

years-Still Active) and teaching (Since last 8 years-Still Active) in my chart.

Step 1: Planets influencing my Karma karaka Saturn and Jeeva Karaka Jupiter
Saturn is placed closed to my Mercury, Ketu and Sun.

(Out of these 3, mercury and Ketu are closer to my Saturn degree wise, so the professions related
to mercury and Ketu will start

affecting my profession ahead of Sun, professions related to sun will influence my profession
later in my life)

Hence Just refer the fields which falls under the Planets Ketu, Mercury and Sun, you all will be
able to immediately establish the

connection

Jupiter is placed close to my mars and Venus

Hence just refer the fields which falls under the Planets Venus and mars, you all will be able to
immediately establish the

connection.

Now to fine tune the results of step 1, proceed to step 2

Step 2:

a) Professions coming under the scope of 10th lord (as per the cusp chart),

Mercury is my 10th lord as per the cusp chart, Hence Just refer the fields which falls under the
Planet Mercury, you all will be

able to immediately establish the connection with respect to the professions identified under
STEP 1

b) The professions coming under the scope of the sign coming in 10th cusp.

The sign is Virgo in my case, Hence Just refer the fields which falls under the sign Virgo, you all
will be able to immediately

establish the connection with respect to the professions identified under STEP 1

c) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by this 10th cusp lord in lagan
chart and

Mercury is placed in Libra in my lagan chart, Hence Just refer the fields which falls under the
sign Libra, you all will be able to

immediately establish the connection with respect to the professions identified under STEP 1
d) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by karma karaka Saturn.

Saturn is placed in Libra in my lagan chart, Hence Just refer the fields which falls under the sign
Libra, you all will be able to

immediately establish the connection with respect to the professions identified under STEP 1

e) The professions coming under the scope of the sign occupied by 10th cusp lord in D-9 chart.
(i.e. Navamsa sign of

10th cusp lord)

Mercury is placed in Gemini in my Navamsa chart, Hence Just refer the fields which falls under
the sign Gemini, you all will be

able to immediately establish the connection with respect to the professions identified under
STEP 1

f) Professions coming under the scope of planets influencing (through aspect or placement) the
1st house of D-10

chart (If no planet aspects or is placed in the first house of your D-10 chart, then take lord of 1st
house in D-10 chart)

Jupiter and mercury are aspecting the 1st house of my D-10 chart, Hence Just refer the fields
which falls under the planets

mercury and Jupiter, you all will be able to immediately establish the connection with respect to
the professions identified under

STEP 1

CAREFULLY COMBINE THE RESULTS of Step 1 and Step 2, you will easily know that why
your friend Nikhil is into the

fields mentioned above.

Astrology -sins of current & past lives

It’s my most humble REQUEST to all those people worldwide who are reading this first line,
“that please read this write up till the

very end, as I will simply catapult your whole thinking by 360 degree towards this life”. For all
those non believers of astrology

who always search for a point to criticize this ultimate science, this article is a must and for all
others this write up written by your

friend Nikhil would be an eye opener.

We all are in a habit hurting others, doing all kind of wrong deeds knowingly and unknowingly,
but we generally have no idea of

how each of our smallest deed gets recorded completely in the eyes of that supernatural power
called god and how we have to

pay back for all those actions which we have done in the past and that too with interest. Every
action has an equal and opposite

reaction. I know few people must be arguing in their mind, that what rubbish Nikhil is talking
about, but dear all don’t worry and

just keep on reading this write up as once you will finish reading this, your eyes will surely get
wet with the tears of happiness or

sadness and you know that I don’t Joke.

Anyways as always coming straight to the point

Almost 99% of world’s population suffers from some or the other kind of disease but have we
ever analyzed the actual root

cause of those Diseases. Medicine Scientists keep on searching the cause in the body of patients,
yes to cure those diseases

studying body is necessary, agreed , but do you all really think that the root cause of those
disease actually lie in the human

body only or there is something more to it. As per scientists, diseases are either genetic or are
subjected to a reason due to a

particular circumstance in life.

I am here presenting a bigger picture which is beyond genes or a particular circumstance. In

other words REASON WHICH
CONTROLS THE MANUFACTURING OF THOSE FAULTY GENES, reason which
strategically supernaturally deliberately build

that circumstance which lead to some disease. I know some of you must now be asking that what
exactly Nikhil is trying explain.

To those people, I would say that please complete reading this write up and then make your own
conclusion, just like a judge

hears the full case and only then he gives a judgment.

So dear all root cause does not lie in genes or circumstance. Genes or circumstance are only the
causes, they are not the root

cause.

Then what’s the root cause, simple, it’s your deeds, which are the actual root cause. Now from
here I will be explaining

you the intensity and reasoning of this rule.

Following rules are a part of karmic theory which is laid down by supernatural powers to
maintain peace on earth and

to punish the wrong doer. Here supernatural power refers to an extraordinary modern technology
which is even

beyond the understanding of modern science which has the ability to control the whole universe,
just through mere

will, we name it as God. Though science have now discovered something called God particle but
they still don’t ask

question to themselves that “who has made all these particles including this so called god
particle, what is the cause

behind this visible universe”.

So let’s start with the rules given in the Sacred Indian astrological texts:

1) As per our ancient texts: If any of you are involved in sexual relations with animals, with
unmarried virgins (male

or female) (Before formal marriage), with spouse of teachers, have hatred for teachers, illicit
relations with mother,
father, mother in law, brother’s wife, sister’s husband, stolen food from saintly/learned people
and who cause grief to

others without any rational reason suffers from DIABETES (prameha or Madhu meha).

So if any of you are involved in such acts then remember that everything gets recorded. To
record all this, God has

such high level of technology that even most sophisticated modern scientific tool are peanuts in
front of that. If the

intensity of these kinds of wrong deeds done by you is much more, then the intensity of diabetes
will also be higher for

you (diabetes can destroy all the organs of your body including heart, kidney or liver when at its
peak), also then you

will take birth in only that family in which most of the members are already suffering from this
disease, so it would be

genetic disorder for you.

NO SCIENCE has ever decoded a fact that why we all take birth in particular families. Think
beyond and understand

that there must be some system through which role and characters of our parents and relatives are
decided. NOTHING

HAPPEN BY CHANCE, Modern science has not even understood 1% of all the actual secrets.
Astrologically also you

can see the presence of this disease in your birth chart. Very close relationship (exchange, degree
wise closeness,

trine relationship, mutual aspect, conjunction etc) between Moon and Venus PLUS when moon
and Venus are afflicted

and loosing strength in the birth chart from several other angles (after considering 100’s of
factors).

Those who have any doubts just open your birth chart and see yourself that how everything is
preplanned. Yes your

analysis cannot match the refined analysis of an Astrologer, but still you can get some idea basic
idea based on this
rule mentioned above.

NOW LET ME TELL YOU THAT WHY PERFECTLY CONTROLLED NATURE HAS
LISTED THIS RULE IN ITS SOFTWARE

WHICH AUTOMATICALLY RUNS THIS UNIVERSE.

When you have illicit sexual relations, then directly or indirectly you are giving grief to whole
universe. HOW?

Remember those people who have illicit relationships can never have stable and peaceful
married life, their partner will

not be loyal to them, since they themselves are not loyal, more than that their LUST CAN
NEVER be satisfied, just like a

drunk person or a person who is always under the influence of drugs, they behave like an
addicted person, the power

to distinguish between right and wrong finishes, THE PERSON START BEHAVING LIKE AN
ANIMAL, rather than a

human. EVEN ANIMALS DO sex, eat food, sleep and remain without clothes all their lives,
what is the difference

between animals and such person.

We have got human birth to help others, to give happiness to others, but when you cant even
satisfy your own lust,

then how will you give happiness to others, as a result, the basic foundation of being a human
gets defeated, their

kids would suffer, kids would never feel safe and protected. Education and career of kids would
also suffer apart from

their personal life. When you get carried away because of lust, then your whole family suffers.
Many families’ together

forms a society, so basically you are also setting a wrong example for others and in a way
promoting more grief.

For god all human beings are equal, therefore if you will be the reason for grief to others, then
god will definitely
punish you and his way of punishing is like this. He will give you so many diseases that all your
lust will get converted

into grief. No one can ever escape his dictate.

Indeed just keep on reading; you will understand how illicit relationships are the root cause for
10’s of other serious

diseases.

When these deeds start happening on a mass scale, then due to the non adherence of rules set by
God, whole nature

turns in the state of revenge, as result we have earthquakes and Tsunami’s. Many scientists
would say that Nikhil, Now

it’s too much how you can relate our deeds with nature’s fury, so my intelligent friends, your
intelligence is still a

peanut in front of divine intelligence. Unless you will have faith on divinity, even an
understanding of small reason will

take you 100’s of years. Like only now you know that moon has the presence of water after
spending billions of dollars,

but we have been using the minor concepts like Moon is a watery planet in astrology since
1000’s of years. Had you

followed us, those billions of dollars could have been used for serving humanity (Feeding crores
of people).

In western countries illicit relations are so common that they don’t even realize the gravity of
what they are doing. In

their life time they sleep with 10’s of partners, i.e. whenever they get a chance, Just like an
animal, I would suggest

those people to read about lions, tigers, komodo dragon and they will find that there is no
difference between their life

styles and the life style of those animals. Animals also eat, do sex and then sleep. Now days in
India also people are

completely losing their morals, they simply copy western nations. As a result here also family
bonding are getting
vanished away very fast just like their western counter parts. Thanks to cherry on the cake, this
Internet which gives

power in the hands of lust driven fools.

Anyways, those who are feeling guilty, then I would say, just read the remedy as there is always
a chance to bounce

back. Also Just because you people see your favorite celebrities behaving in a characterless
manner does not justify

having loose character.

Remedy for this disease: CHANT VARUNA MANTRA with full devotion, CONDUCT
HOMAS with full devotion, GIFT

GOLD TO SAINTLY PERSONS with all humbleness, DONANATE WATER AND FOOD TO
POOR PEOPLE with a feeling to

serve, SERVE and feed COW. All this will relive the person from diabetes. ALL THOSE people
who still have doubts

may carry out these remedies and see the results themselves. Truth needs no evidence, as simply
refusing to accept is

very easy. Anybody can do easy things.

2) As per our ancient texts: Causing abortions (many so called modern but stupid girls don’t
hesitate to go for

abortions nowadays after having illicit relations with their foolish lust driven boyfriend’s),
having sexual relations with

the spouse of teacher lead to a very serious Disease called DROPSY and ULCERS of hand/ legs.
So those girls, who

have done this huge crime, must get ready to face these diseases as a gift from God. Nobody
should misunderstand

your friend Nikhil, as I am just telling you the fact. (Just because you people see your favorite
celebrities behaving in a

characterless manner does not justify having loose character) Remedies: Chant rudrasukta,
varunasukta, give Image

of crocodile and water in charity gift precious gems to saintly person.

3) As per our ancient texts: Person who executes violence against saintly (pious and learned
persons) people, who

hate their preceptors (teachers, masters) gets the disease of TUBERCULOSIS. (Their genes will
inherently carry the

possibilities of this disease right from their birth on this planet). As per few texts, carrying out
sexual activities on the

day of eclipses also lead to this disease. Remedies: Chant Vishnu Sahasranam, Rudra Sukta
along with Homas,

donation of clothes.

4) As per our ancient texts: Establishing physical relationships with unmarried virgins (both male
and females)

[Before marriage] and ill-treating learned people are the main cause for URINARY DISEASES.
Remedy: Gift gingelly

seeds, lotus flowers and performing Homas.

5) As per our ancient texts: Those people who steal food suffers from a disease called
EMACIATION, intensity of the

disease will depend on how much misappropriation of food has been done by that person in his
life time. Remedy:

Image of Lord Shiva should be gifted as a remedy.

6) As per our ancient texts: Having relations with virgins(male or female (before marriage),
animals, consuming

prohibited food (non veg), giving poison to somebody, killing somebody with a weapon, non
performance of essential

rituals, doing back- biting etc are the primary cause for COLIC TROUBLES. Remedy: Thila
Dana (donation), padma

Dana and gifting gold or silver trident. Some people may argue that Nikhil, whole world eat Non
veg, so then will all of

them have the probability of this disease. My answer would be A WRONG IS WRONG, whether
done by a single person

or by the whole world.

7) As per our ancient texts: Murdering saintly people, having illicit relations with the spouse of
teacher, selling fake

medicines or poison lead to LEPROSY. Remedy: Chant Rudra Sukta, ayusukta, gift Images of
Sun, donate bull made up

of gold to very saintly person, executing Kushmanda Homa.

I think the write up is getting lengthy so let me just finish it off with a brief summary.

As per our ancient texts: Troubling parents, elders, teacher, pious people, and respectable people
leads to various

diseases like Rheumatism, Spleen diseases, Leprosy, fistula, Tuberculosis, dumbness, insanity,
lingual diseases,

epilepsy, headache etc. (Intensity of diseases will increase with the intensity of your bad deed,
like if you happen to

murder above mentioned people, then these diseases will take an ugly shape)

As per our ancient texts: Having illicit relationships, In one word-being characterless , lead to
Thirst, fistula, Leprosy,

dropsy, urinary diseases, ulcers, colic troubles, Diabetes. (Just because you people see your
favorite celebrities

behaving in a characterless manner does not justify having loose character)

As per our ancient texts: Killing snakes- serpis disease

As per our ancient texts: Destroying Tanks, wells etc- Dysentery disease

As per our ancient texts: Stealing or Misappropriation of wealth of (Dieties, saintly people,
blind), eating Non veg,

engaging in sexual activities on prohibited days, killing cows -Leucoderma disease, piles disease

As per our ancient texts: Speaking false, hurting face of anybody-face disease

As per our ancient texts: Stealing public prosperity- Throat disease

As per our ancient texts: Intimidating others with the help of dogs- Fevers.

As per our ancient texts: Stealing vegetables, fruits, illicit relations – Ulcers
Concepts are never ending, but I have to quit now. If any of you want to know remedy w.r.t any
of these diseases, just

feel free to ask your friend Nikhil. Bye and God Bless

New research features in JHora 7.5 (to be out on 2011 Feb 9/10)

new research features in jhora 7.5 (to be out on 2011 feb

9/10)

(Mail Sent by PVR Narasimha Rao)

Namaste,

As you may know, Jagannatha Hora 7.5 to be released on 2011 February

9/10 (Ratha Saptami day) will support Sri Surya Siddhanta (SSS) model

for planetary positions.

In addition, there are a couple of research features that I expect to

enable sophisticated research in future (possibly using SSS). For

example, intuitively I stumbled upon one unconventional divisionalchart

that throws light on lucky periods in one's work. When I find Vimsottari

dasa in that divisional chart, dasa of a planet in own sign or

exaltation sign or moolatrikona brings important phase in one's career

(irrespective of lagna), almost without a fail. I am optimistic that

there are unconventional divisional charts not mentioned by Parasara,

which may work brilliantly for specific purposes.

Here are the new features for research:

(1) Generic custom divisional chart:

The option to cast a generic custom divisional chart D-N was added, with

any N between 1 and 300. Cyclical charts, as well as non-cyclical charts

with several structures are supported. Either Aries or the sign in which

divisions are being found can be used as the base for mapping divisions

in the sign. Divisions can be mapped to N signs starting from

- the base itself,

- from 1st/7th or 1st/9th or 1st/5th or 1st/11th or 1st/3rd from

base (if base is odd/even)

- from 1st/5th/9th or 1st/9th/5th from base (if base is

movable/fixed/dual)

- from 1st/4th/7th/10th or 1st/10th/7th/4th from base (if base is

fiery/earthy/airy/watery)

The divisions in even signs can be counted from the end of the sign if

desired (e.g. as in uniform Krishna Mishra navamsa, i.e. 9 divisions of

Ta are mapped to Vi, Le, ..., Aq, Cp, instead of the regular zodiacal

order Cp, Aq, ..., Le, Vi).

This flexible configuration allows one to define and experiment with

several customized divisional chart options not mentioned specifically

by Parasara. There may be some divisional chart variations not mentioned

by Parasara that throw light on specific areas of life!

(2) Custom sub-divisional chart:

The option to cast a generic sub-divisional chart D-mxn (or D-m x D-n)

was added. A divisional chart D-m (e.g. D-9, D-10, D-12, D-16, D-20,

D-24 etc) is taken as the rasi chart and it is further divided into D-n

(e.g. D-9, D-10, D-12 D-16, D-30 etc). As just one specific example, you

can take D-10 as rasi chart and find D-9 in it. It is represented as

D-10xD-9 or just D-10x9. For example, D-10xD-9 may show blessings in

career, while D-10xD-30 may show evils in career.

Best regards,

Narasimha

Neechabhanga Raj Yoga

ALL about NEECHBHANGRAJA YOGA (Cancellation of debilitation)

NBRY is a very common term amongst all the preachers of astrology but its actual significance
is understood by only few.

That’s why I decided to write something related to this concept.

Ok, so first let’s understand that how powerful can this Neechbhang Raj yog be?

So the answer is:

When In full swing, its power cannot be described, as it straight away makes the native an
emperor nothing less than an

emperor, i.e. many kings will report to such a person, even 4 well placed exalted planets in a
chart cannot match its power. What

More I can say.

Neechbhang Raj yoga comes after neech result only. Serious Problems are part and parcel of
every human's life, but how many

people have the ability to decimate the ongoing problems and move ahead ??. Only 0.1% people
who have such ability, taste

extraordinary success as a result of neechbhang Raj yoga. That's a reason why I say that NBRY
is very very rare.

The root cause of the power of this yoga is the "HUGE learning which native may derive from
the negative experiences of life

and use those experiences for constructive purposes"

For example: A person never had enough food to eat during initial 15-20 years of his life, later
DECIDED to completely decimate

the hunger of all the children who are suffering just like him and with time, due to this strong
will and hard work, he is now able

to become the bread earner for lakhs of people.

Actually by feeding so many people he is not decimating the hunger of lakhs of people, instead
he is ACTUALLY

CHALLENGING the BAD DESTINY of the those lakhs of people. In a way he is telling his
own destiny that "DONT MESS WITH

ME" or else I will simply destroy you, just like a treatment which a tornado gives to a piece of
cotton.

Hence initial 15-20 years of his life was just like experiencing NEECH effect, but he took his
struggle as a challenge and

decimated the hunger of lakhs of people later in his life, which EVEN A KING/Minister WAS
NOT ABLE TO DO.
That's the power of Neechbhang Raj yoga. It makes the person so VERY strong willed that, even
mountains cannot come in his

front. He will not deflect his way due to that presence of mountain instead he would move ahead
and would raise the level of his

will power to such an extent that, he is able to crush the whole mountain under the thumb of his
feet.

Feel my words to feel the power of this yoga. 1 NBRY can alone compete and win over 30
Normal Raj yogas.

So, IF you also have such will power to crush the mountains, you also have Neech bhang Raj
yoga.

This is the reason why I am writing a full article on it.

BUT WE HAVE TO CAREFULLY SEE THAT WHETHER THIS RAJ YOGA IS REALLY IN
FULL SWING OR NOT IN ANY

CHART, before declaring any result.

Caution: Whole chart should be seen before giving any conclusion is astrology.

First of all let me list the rules related to this concept, as per the nadi texts:

A planet causing neechbhang will make the person emperor and that too in his youth.

a) depositor of the sign occupied by the debilitated planet in Kendra

b) Conjunction of an exalted planet with a debilitated planet (like sun and Saturn in Libra and
Aries, Jupiter and mars in

Capricorn and cancer…etc)

NOTE: NEECHBHANG RAJ YOGA DO NOT FUCTION for natives with CANCER
ASCENDANT.on the contrary it would obstruct

the prosperity. (This is as per Devakeralam text)

Before moving ahead let me give you one more concept, the more a deliberated planet is close to
its highest debilitation degree,

the more powerful would be its neechbhang.

(Like in case of Sun its 10 degree of Libra)

Let me also list the applicability of this Raj yog as per other sources (right from various forums
to blogs to books to general

articles on Internet or as per my little humble experience)

1) Both exalted and deliberated planet in one rashi.

Jupiter & mars in cancer, Capricorn

Sun and Saturn in Aries and Libra

Venus and mercury in Virgo or Pieces etc

2) Lord of rashi in which neech planet (debilitated Planet) is placed is in Kendra from moon or
lagan for example if sun is

deliberated in Libra, Then if Venus is in Kendra from moon or lagan.

3) Lord of the rashi in which the deliberated planet gets exalted, in the Kendra from moon or
lagan. For example If sun is getting

deliberated in Libra, then since sun gets exalted in Aries.

Therefore lord of Aries i.e. mars is in Kendra from moon or lagan neech bhang occurs.

(Note: I have few reservations regarding the applicability of the above rule)

4) When the deliberated planet gets exalted in navamsa (D-9) or shatyamsa (D-60) in the Kendra
(Quadrants), trikond (Trines),

2nd or 11th houses, neech bhang occurs.

5) When a planet (in strength) aspects its own rashi in which a planet is getting deliberated,
neech bhang occurs for that planet.

For ex: moon is getting deliberated in Scorpio, aspected by mars (should be in strength).

(Note: I have few reservations regarding the applicability of the above rule too as I feel that in
this case Neechbhang will not be

complete)

6)When a deliberated planet gets a Vargottammi (planet occupies same rashi in lagan and
navamsa charts) position,
neechbhang occurs., again this is will not be complete but yes planet do gain strength, when
happens to be Vargottammi.

7) Sometimes neechbhang Raj yog occurs along with vipreet Raj Yoga (VRY), In these kind of
cases yoga becomes extremely

powerful.

For ex: - Mercury getting deliberated in 12th house being the lord of 6th house. Now if suppose
Jupiter which is the lord of 12th

house gets exalted in 4th House (which is a quadrant) and obviously Jupiter is also aspecting
mercury.

Now in this case mercury causing both VRY and neechbhang Raj Yoga, Hence this mercury
becomes extremely powerful.

There could be many more.

There are few other rare conditions of neechbhang Raj yog which are hardly listed anywhere.

1) When there is a paraivartan yog (Exchange) between two planets getting deliberated.

For example when moon is placed in Scorpio and mars in cancer. Here you can see that both
Moon and mars are getting

debilitated but still in this case a kind of neech bhang is happening due to the exchange of rashi’s
happening between them.

Result can further improve if there is more benefic influence on Moon and mars and also if both
them are gaining adequate

shadbala.

So, here none of them will give a bad result.

2) When a deliberated planet simply goes in the paraivartan yog with its friend (naisargik and
functional both).

For example deliberated Venus is getting in paraivartan (exchange) with its naisargik and
functional friend mercury in Libra,

Especially for Virgo, and Capricorn Ascendant.

3) When the lord of the rashi in which a planet is getting deliberated, also gets deliberated and
the latter one receives neech
bhang, then former one will also get a powerful neechbhang, but here the planet which is causing
the Neech bhang of the 2nd

planet should be really powerful( from the angle of shadbala).

This is termed as "chained neech bhang Raj yoga

for example: - If sun is placed in Libra and its rashi lord venus is also getting deliberated in
Virgo and now If venus gets a Strong

neech bhang then sun will also get a neech bhang.(SEE the chart of Prince Charles)

Assume mercury is getting deliberated in Pieces, Pieces lord Jupiter is also getting deliberated in
Capricorn now if Jupiter gets a

strong neech bhang then mercury would also get a neech bhang.(SEE the chart of sachin
tendulkar)

Some DISTINCTIONS:

Do you think that all neech bhang are of the same kind?

The answer is big no, some are more powerful and some are less, let’s understand why?

Take the example of Venus and mercury placed in Virgo (neech bhang for venus) and in Pieces
(neechbhang for mercury) or

Jupiter mars in Capricorn and cancer (neech bang for Jupiter and mars respectively)

In all the of the above examples COMMON point is that neech bhang (if occurring) Would be
occurring with the help of a friend.

(In the above cases, Both Venus and mercury are friends; also both Jupiter and mars are friends).

But if we look at the case of sun and Saturn (in Aries for sat and in Libra for sun),

[out of the these cases sun neechbhang would be more powerful as Saturn is a more malefic
planet as compared to sun and is

also the inherent enemy of Sun.("This is as per the rule, when more malefic planet is exalted and
a comparatively less malefic

planet is deliberated, neechbhang occurs in a more powerful way if they are in conjunction)

So let me take the case of sun and Saturn placed in Libra.(being more powerful), why is the
Neechbhang of Sun in Libra is more
powerful than in cases of Jupiter, Mars( and venus, mercury. ?

See, THEY BOTH (sun and Saturn) ARE enemy’s (Unlike the case of Jupiter & mars./..venus
&mercury)...that is the reason why

here neech bhang of sun would be much more powerful as compared to the neechbhang of
venus, mercury, mars, Jupiter in

similar Situation (exalted and deliberated planet in the same rashi).

NOW WHY MORE POWERFUL?

See, even our most dreaded enemy can contribute in our success greatly, indeed, in most of the
times critics have a more

daunting role to play in our success story. You all will agree on this.

This explains why Saturn despite being an enemy of sun, provide huge strength to the sun in the
process of neechbhang.

Now way it happens?

Saturn is planet of hard work. persons who are Saturn dominated are extremely hard working,
they also develop the quality of

perseverance and patience due to the effect of Saturn, Saturn makes them stable in all the
conditions and keeps them humble

and down to earth. These people are truth driven and always look to help anyone in need.

Therefore when sun gets deliberated and Saturn is placed with it native tends to counter the odds
with sheer hard work which is

actually the IDEAL way.

SO, this was all about the rules, now let’s come to the significance part.

Have you ever thought that why this yoga is so powerful?

Understand like this, there is a native who have all the qualities to become successful in life,
right from hard work to intelligence

to compassion to patience etc, but still due to some or the other unavoidable circumstance in life,
he always gets tested. He
again rises and again some person or circumstances pull him down and this process is happening
again and again, 100’s of

time.

Despite all this there is one streak in him due to which he just do not looses heart, and always
tries to get up again in life. You

can say that, it’s in his nature to always fight and fight. (Only few have this kind of nature)

Now in the above process this person is continuously getting sanctified just like gold achieves its
highest purity at the highest

temperatures and then we all know that even a “Dog has its Day”. The day his time gives him the
flexibility to achieve, this

person has developed the habit to extract maximum out that single opportunity. Assume a
volcano lava waiting for years and

years to break the shackles of earth to come out with Bang bang, assume a rocket taking time in
reaching that threshold level by

burning tons and tons of fuel and as soon as it gets its escape velocity nothing could stop him to
straightaway touch the universe

within a matter of seconds, a plane which take off in a regular manner cannot achieve a height
which a rocket CAN(just like a

normal raja can give the native a sky but cannot dare to give the universe which a Neechbhang
Raj yoga can)

Lastly, no conclusion can be made just on the basis of few factors in astrology. You need to see
all the shad bal and non shad

bal factors for that.

For your clarity

Strength measuring of a planet is done with the help of all the shad bal and non shad bal factors,
just a quick briefing for you all:

Strength through Shad bal consists of:

a) Sthan Bal (contains Uchh bal, Sapt vargaj bal, Oja yugma bal, Dreshkana bal, Kendra bal etc)

b) Dig bal
c) Drik bal

d) Chestha bal

e) Naisargik bal

f) Kaal bal (Contains Natonata Bal, Paksha bal, Varsh, Maas, Din, Hora bal, Ayan Bal, Yudhh
Bal etc)

Apart from Shad bal you need to see many other Non-Shad bal factors like, determining:

a) Strength of sign lord of a planet (sign lord has to be analyzed separately for strength with the
help of 10's of other concepts).

b) Strength of Navamsa sign lord of a planet. (Navamsa sign lord has to be analyzed separately
for strength with the help of 10's

of other concepts).

c) Strength which comes from Vargottam (both Rashi and Bhava) concept.

d) Strength which comes from Pushkar Navamsa and Bhaga concept.

e) Strength which gets lost through Combustion.

f) Strength which gets lost through bad Avastha.

g) Strength which gets lost through Planetary War.

h) Strength which comes from different house placements of the planet. (Like mth lord in nth
house).

i) Strength which comes from Argala concept.

j) Strength which comes from Arudha concept

k) Strength which gets lost through Marana Sthan concept etc

All these concepts are not part of Shad bal. All these concepts have to be applied w.r.t all the
planets, only after that prediction

should be made.

In other words, if you are trying to apply NBRY or for that matter any Raj yoga, then also you
need to use the principles of shad
bal and non shad bal factors

Now what do I mean by this:

See when a planet gets neech, then it looses its uchh bal , right !

(Now Uchh bal is ONLY 1 component of sthan bal which is 1 component of shad bal)- right !

So, 1 thing is clear that neech concept alone cannot make any planet weak. Right !

OR

Any planet can derive strength from various sources. Right !

OR

If a planet is able to derive its strength many sources then it will surely get a neechbhang. Right !

say yes !!!!

Similarly if a uchh planet (which have a ucch bal) happens to loose its strength from various
other sources then it will lead to its

uchh bhang.

SO simple , right !

Now the questions arises that what are the other sources which can make a uchh planet, neech
and a neech planet, uchh

Simple Shad bal and non shad bal factors which I have listed above.

Let me also give you an example:

Suppose Moon is neech in a chart.

but this Moon is:

a) Vargottami, (will add to sthan bal of moon)

b) Paksha bali, (especially full moon, new moon or moon of Shukla paksha 8th day to krishna
paksha 5th day) (part of kaal bal)

c) Have night strength (kaal bal, assuming birth of night)

d) Its depositor is very powerful (assuming 10's of other factors) (will add to sthan bal of moon)
So even these 4 rules will give neechbhang to moon

OR suppose

this neech moon is:

a) Exalted in Navamsa (will add to sthan bal of moon)

b) have aspects of Jupiter and Venus (will give drik bal to moon)

c) Moon have complete dig bal (directional strength)

d) Placed in quadrant (kendra bal , part of sthan bal)

So even these 4 rules will give neechbhang to moon

or suppose

this neech moon is:

a) Placed on pushkar bhaga and pushkar navamsa (will add to sthan bal of moon)

b) Have argala strength from 5 planets (will add to drik bal of moon)

c) Its freinds Jupiter, Mars and sun are excellent in the chart (after considering 10's of other
rules) (will add to drik bal of moon)

d) Navamsa dispositor of moon is very strong (after considering 10's of other rules) (will add to
sthan bal of moon)

e) Native is born on Monday in the hora of moon (hence day and hora bal)

So even these 5 rules will give neechbhang to moon

Now I have given you 3 ways to give neech bhang to this moon and in EACH CASE I am using
4 different concepts. Like this we

could have Neechbhang for moon 100's of ways.

YOU CAN PICK any 4 rules from the 12-13 rules mentioned above (combining all 3 cases) and
your neech moon will get

neechbhanga.

and if you will start taking more than 4 rules, in favor of moon like 5 rules or 6 or 7 or 10 or 12
then INTENSITY of neech bhanga
will keep on increasing.

So there could be 100's of PERMUTATION's and combinations through which moon can get its
neechbhang

So learn to play with concepts, or else the concepts will play with you and will confuse you.

There is NOTHING hard and fast in astrology only understanding of all the concepts is essential.

Look at the chart of lord KRISHNA, 23rd June 3227 BC, 23:50:04, Mathura, India

Mars is neech but its depositor MOON is:

a) Exalted (have uchh bal)

b) In quadrant (so have kendra bal)

c) Is rashi vargottammi

d) Is bhava vargottammi

e) Present in pushkar bhaga (14 degree of taurus)

f) Present in pushkar navamsa

g) have argala strength from 5 planets as per cusp chart

h) Lagan in which moon is placed is itself vargottami

i) he was born in midnight, hence have NIGHT strength (Kaal bal)

j) Its freinds Jupiter, moon and mars are excellent in the chart.

etc etc

Now because of such a great strength of MOON his mars is getting neechbhanga just because of
1 rule

i.e. its sign lord moon is very very very strong

HENCE see jyotish holistically, everything will become clear to you all.

Observations on Divisional charts

Observations on Divisional charts

Starting wi

Starting with Dasamsa chart (D-10), as I have already written about Navamsa chart in a separate
thread.

D-10(dasamsa)- I am here sharing with you very rare information, so just try to understand this.

General happiness from career should be seen from dasamsa lagan.(strength of 10th lord should
also be seen from D-10, apart

from seeing it in D-9)

3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th house (that is houses Kendra from 3rd house) are of prime importance in D10.
[3rd lord,10th lord of lagan

chart, association with these houses is very beneficial and auspicious], all the auspicious planets
including 3rd and 10th lord (of

lagan chart) are most welcome in these houses.

(Note:-3rd house denotes Prakram, your own efforts, It has kundalani energy of 9th house in it,
that’s why it becomes all the

more important in D-10, D-10 represent our career which is run by our own efforts and karmas,
fortune aspect comes in D-9)

Planets in 4th (auspicious ones) increases struggle in the career, malefic planets in this house
mitigates struggle.

All kinds of planets, benefic or malefic give auspicious results in 10th house of D-10.

Auspicious planets in 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th houses Favors the growth in career (that is
Panaphara houses), malefic here do not

promote the growth path.

10th house planets are always good in D-10(benefic or malefic)

Again I am saying; do not use the concept of Arudh in divisional charts.

7th house of D-10 should have benefics only as they will also aspect lagan of D-10.

To be very brief most important house after lagan is 3rd house in D10 chart.

Most important house after lagan of navamsa chart is 9th house in navamsa chart.

That is why D-10 and D9 chart are complementary in a manner.

D-9- represent general fortune

D-10- represent general own efforts (or own karmas)

That is why 3rd house being the first UPACHAYA gain maximum importance in D-10(after its
lagan bhava)

and 9th house being most important trikond of dharma and fortune gains maximum importance
in D-9(after its lagan bhava)

Coming to Shatyamsa chart (D-60), I will talk about this chart in detail in a separate article but
for the time being. Just a brief;

1) All the matters should be extensively seen from this chart, this chart have the maximum
importance out of all the charts (Even

more than navamsa and lagan chart)

2) Concepts of Arudh CAN be used in D-60(this chart is an exception), like Upa pad etc.

3) Should be used in with respect to Moola dasha.

4) Budhi-gati dasha, AK Kendradi dasha also works well with D-60 chart

I don’t have time to write big stories of D-charts, therefore just the main tips.

Hope it helps.

1) D-12 or dwadasamsa chart should be seen for understanding the "BASIC PATTERN of
DESTINY", some call it a Birth chart

of last incarnation.(I also agree with this).

D-60 chart HAS the "SUMMATION FAL" of all the births that we have experienced in the past
lives till the last birth (could be 10
births, could be 80 births or more than that)

but if you just want to know about your past birth, D-12 is the chart to look for.

Yes people use it for seeing PARENTS, this is also correct, If anyone think sensibly, he/ she will
immediately accept that parents

are NO LESS than GOD for human beings, that’s why parents have been given the "PLACE OF
GOD" in our Vedas.

Lord Ganesha was chosen as the first one to be preached among all the devtas just because he
had applied this very concept.

We all know the story ( how he had done the parikrama of lord shiva and goddess parvati 3 times
and defeated kartikye in bet to

revolve 3 times around the world) , Lord Ganesha had assumed his parents, as his world.

2) Again do not use Arudh concept in any divisional chart except D-60

3) General happiness from parents should be seen from D-12 lagan

4) Strength of 4th lord, 9th lord, sun and moon should be further checked in D-12(apart from
checking them in D-9).

5) The next most important house in D-12 after D-12 lagan is 4th house, therefore Kendra from
4th house (7th, 10th, 1st) must

have placement of auspicious planets for good general destiny and parental happiness.

Generally 1st house-Represent this birth

5th house represent past birth

9th house represent future birth

Keeping this in mind, read this;

6) As I have said earlier also in one of the threads.

12*1=12--- Therefore D-12 reflects basic destiny pattern of this birth.

12*5=60--- therefore D-60 has summation results of all the past births (that’s why most
important chart), Earlier also I have

dedicated 2 or 3 threads on D-60.

12*9=108--- Therefore D-108, is none other than the FUTURE chart (IT shows our next birth) -
I have earlier also dedicated a

whole thread on D-108.

D-150

Nadiamsa- gives the MOST SPECIFIC PATTERN OF OUR DESTINY; this chart is nothing but
our soul.

This is the most phenomenal chart and is beyond our scope of intelligence, simply Transadental.

Since its very difficult to fix this chart, would not speak much about this but just to give a brief
that whole NADI JYOTISH IS

BASED ON THIS.

Shukra nadi, dhurav nadi, all 7 saptrishi nadi's (like vashisht nadi, agasta nadi etc) , Chandra
nadi(also known as deva keralam

in south), guru nadi etc.

Huge volumes of texts on nadi Jyotish use the dwadasamsa lagan or Trimsamsa or Nadiamsa
lagan (also known as komalamsa

or the sensitive point) for accurate prediction

Yes this chart is even better than D-60

A bit of justification on D-12

Basic pattern of destiny means, D-12 could tell you.

your minimum level of achievements, you could say that , I will experience AT LEAST this
much of fortune for sure that at least

level is decided by D-12, Its like your basic skeleton, starting level fat you have, starting level
muscles you have.

Now How much extra (over and above fat, carbohydrate, muscles you have) that would be
decided by D-30, D45, D60 and

D150

You must also remember that your Janma nakshatra, your lagan chart and your D-12 all are
connected.
General Note:

D-12 is not more powerful than D-60 or D-150(these are the most ultimate charts)

So try to understand , everything in astrology go in synchronization ...Now what do I mean by

this..?..just read very carefully.

Like for example birth chart(D-1) and navamsa chart(D-9) of the native is very good...

Now in the above scenario, the D-12, D-60 charts would also be good...for that native...things
dont contradict in jyotish...it may

happen that from the parental aspect things are not so good in D-12 (In that condition, that would
be visible in lagan chart

too)...but from the fortune aspect D-12 will only compliment the indications of D-1 and D-9.

Difference occur when any one of D-9 and lagan chart is not very good...(but one is very
good)...in these cases D-12, D-60 will

have a FINAL say.

But this will not happen that D-1,D-9 are very very good and D-12 or D-60 are very bad....(the
difference could be D-12 or D-60

are average or good or very good or excellent...but they would NOT be bad or very bad.)

Here are some things to help you understand the nature of the Vargas.

The Vargas can be divided into groups of 12, each corresponding to a different Graha. Within
each group of 12, only certain

Vargas are considered important by Parasharaa.

Vargas 1-12 are the Sun. This is the set that shows the manifested things in our lives, all of our
relationships, etc. This set

includes eight important Vargas: the rasi, the hora, the drekkana, the chaturthamsa, the saptamsa,
the navamsa, the dasamsa,

and the dvadasamsa.

Vargas 13-24 are the Moon. This set shows our psychological reality, our internal perceptions,
and emotional well-being. This
set includes three important Vargas: the shodamsa, the vimsamsa, and the chaturvimsamsa.
These three Vargas correspond to

the three moksha houses also: 4th, 8th, & 12th respectively.

Vargas 25-36 are Mars. This set shows the part of our life where we are meant to assert our will,
fight for what we want, and

actually make changes to our fate. This set includes two important Vargas: the bhamsa and the
Trimsamsa. The Bhamsa has to

do with our strengths & weaknesses, which basically comes down to character flaws that we are
meant to work on in this life

through our efforts. The Trimsamsa shows disease, but specifically diseases that we are meant to
improve through making effort

and choosing a healthy lifestyle.

Vargas 37-48 is Mercury. This set shows our material well-being in general, and includes two
important Vargas: the

Khavedamsa and the Akshavedamsa. The Khavedamsa is used specifically to predict issues with
our material world, which can

include anything from physical health to finances and property. The Akshavedamsa is used to
fine-tune predictions of other

Vargas.

Vargas 49-60 is Jupiter. This set shows our deeper spiritual nature, and includes only one
important varga: the shastyamsa. This

varga is very sensitive to birth time accuracy, so it is important to have an accurate birth time.
This chart is used to fine-tune

predictions of other Vargas. Parasharaa lists this varga as being more important than many of the
others, so a lot of insight can

be gained into a person's deeper nature from it and their destiny. It can be used in the case of
twins to differentiate their

individual karmas.

Each varga has a primary house that is the most important house to consider in that varga. Here
is a list:
Rasi (D1) - 1st house

Hora (D2) - 2nd house

Drekkana (D3) - 3rd house

Chaturthamsa (D4) - 4th house

Saptamsa (D7) - 7th house

Navamsa (D9) - 9th house

Dasamsa (D10) - 3rd house, 10th house

Dwadasamsa (D12) - 12th house

Shodamsa (D16 ) - 4th house

Vimsamsa (D20) - 8th house

Chaturvimsamsa (D24) - 12th house

Bhamsa (D27) - 3rd house

Trimsamsa (D30) - 6th house

Khavedamsa (D40) - 4th house

Akshavedamsa (D45) - 9th house

Shastyamsa (D60) - 12th house

Note: that above does not mean that other houses are not important at all..

For the saptamsa, the most important house is the 7th rather than the 5th. Children should be read
from the 5th house. But the

7th is the house of sex and procreation. So if a person wants to have kids, they need a strong 7th
house in the saptamsa.

Here I want to mention that: though saptamsa chart is considered for children but astrologers
forget that the cause of Progeny is

none other than Spouse.

Therefore Saptamsa chart should also be seen for few parameters related to spouse and married
life.

Now you all must be wondering that , if that is the case what is the difference between Navamsa
and saptamsa.

Let me explain.

Always remember.

There are two very basic reasons for marriage.

1)For obtaining a companion, who could help the native to follow his Dharama path in a right
manner. This actually in true terms

helps the native to refine his fortune(progression towards GOD)

Now Fortune and Dharama are the parameters of 9th house.

2) For obtaining Kids, as through them only a family could be extended.

The fulfillment of the first objective should be seen from navamsa chart, i.e D-9 supports the
spiritualistic side of marriage.

The fulfillment of the second objective should be seen from D-7, as this chart supports the
materialistic part of the marriage

including progeny.

Therefore D-7 should also be seen not only for sex life but also for looks of the spouse.

In this matter 7th house of D-7 plays an important role.

It is said that character of the children comes from their mother and they acquire intelligence
from father.

Therefore D-7, should also be seen for the character of the spouse and intelligence of the native.

The above is logical simply because right from looks of spouse to sexual life to children etc
represent materialistic side of

married life which is under the jurisdiction of D-7

Therefore 5th house of D-7- Children

7th house of D-7-looks of spouse, sexual life

n brief summary

From D-9 one should see (R*9)-9th harmonic.

Spiritual side of spouse and married life•

Character of the spouse•

Nature of the spouse.(Inherent)•

Skills of the spouse (they are inherent and are not material)•

Sexual life (i.e. spiritual satisfaction from sex)•

Family status (this is also seen from Upa pad lagan in rashi chart)•

Fortune from marriage•

General fortune and general strengths of planets•

From D-7 one should see (R*7)-7th Harmonic

Material side of the spouse and married life•

Character parameters of the spouse WHICH GETS TRANSFERRED TO CHILDREN•

Looks of the spouse.(material)•

Sexual Life (i.e. Physical satisfaction from sex)-This is different from AL7 in lagan chart which
shows the perceived•

physical relationship.

Children or progeny.(again Material)•

Intelligence parameters of the native himself, WHICH GETS TRANSFERRED TO

CHILDREN.(Note here we are not•

talking of the complete intelligence which native has)

Note: Character of the spouse should be seen from both the charts as this parameter extends to
both spiritual and materialistic

side of the marriage.

Break in marriage (i.e. Divorce) should be seen from BOTH the charts.

Notice the D16, D20, & D24 are all related to the three moksha houses. These three charts
should be read together for

psychological issues. D16 is our basic well-being, D20 is how we fight our inner battles, as well
as our ability to have a spiritual

practice that helps us through psychological problems. D24 is our ability to come to a deeper
understanding. D24 is the chart of

education, but specifically it is called the chart of "perfected knowledge". Perfected knowledge
comes from letting go of our

illusions, which is the domain of the 12th house. So the D24 is as much about un-learning as it is
about learning.

Notice the two Mars-ruled Vargas; D27 & D30 correspond to Mars houses: 3rd & 6th. These are
Upachaya houses and house of

ego, where we are meant to fight against our fate and improve our situation through effort. The
3rd is a very important house for

the strength of our character and our courage in the face of adversity. The 6th house is about
dealing with specific problems,

especially health issues.

In addition to this, the first eight Vargas also have an important karaka planet. As a set, these
Vargas are ruled by the Sun, but

each varga within the set has an important Graha. It is easy to remember, as they go in the usual
order.

Rasi - Sun

Hora - Moon

Drekkena - Mars

Chaturthamsa - Mercury

Saptamsa - Júpiter

Navamsa - Venus
Dasamsa - Saturn

Dvadasamsa - Rahu & Ketu

From the above, it could be noticed that karakas for:

Saptamsa - Jupiter

Navamsa - Venus

This is the reason why we see Venus in male charts (as a marriage karak and spouse Karaka)

and Venus & Jupiter both in Female charts (as a marriage karak), mars is the Husband Karaka

Since Jupiter rules the progeny chart (i.e. saptamsa) which is a reserved aspect of females only.
Men cannot support Progeny.

Similarly Venus represents Sperm, which is primarily the forte of Men.

That is the reason why we give maximum importance to Jupiter in saptamsa chart (represent
progeny and sexual life-physical

aspect) and maximum Importance to Venus in Navamsa chart.

Jupiter is also the karaka for children which we see in saptamsa chart.

Just go through this link for Hora chart (D-2)

http://www.orkut.co.in/Main#CommMsgs?cmm=1225138&tid=5469725591195696749

We all have studied a lot about navamsa chart, but even astrologers are not that aware about the
actual implications of D-7

chart, Astrologers would definitely include D-7 in calculating the shad bal but still the actual
spirit of D-7 is still unearthed.

Before diving deep in Saptamsa.

Let us first understand more about 7th house in lagan chart as D-7 is nothing but the deepest
reflection of 7th house only..

In the seventh house of Vedic astrology we have ,Saptama; Jamitra; Chittottha (desire); Kama;
Dvuna (love); Madha (passion);

Gamana (cohabitation); Astha - setting; Advan (a way or road); Lok (public); Kalathra (wife or
husband); Pathni; pathi;
Kalathrasampat (dowry).

So, having gone through the above mentioned information, its quite clear that 7th house is
extremely important in chart analysis

and therefore the importance D-7 comes into the scene.

Its also quite evident that whatever aspects I had mentioned just now, all of them could be
accurately seen through Saptamsa

chart.

Though I have already mentioned all of those things which should be seen here in this chart, but
still few of the important ones

on the basis of above are:

1) Our Reputation on this planet (as 7th house deals with all kind of permanent transactions,
Partnership, How we deal with

outer world)-Specially 7th house of D-7

2) The above point could also be written in terms of Fame that is the fame native enjoys.

3) All major journeys.

4) Our Driving force (planets well placed here in this chart - especially in Kendra, trikond, 2nd
and 11th house) w.r.t parameters

represented by that planet.

(This should be seen along with the Initiative aspect which is seen from Cyclical or harmonic
chaturamsa, H-4, refer the thread

of Harmonic divisional charts)

5) 2nd house in D-7, represent the prosperity in our family because of our children.

Arudh concept is meant only for lagan chart, but many astrologers wrongly apply it on other
divisional chart.

We should understand that divisional charts are not different from lagan chart; they are the kids
of lagan chart only.

When you are analyzing D-9, you are basically analyzing the 9th harmonic w.r.t to rashi chart
only i.e. R*9, Therefore analyzing
Arudh in D-9 is a non consequential repetitive process as ,Arudh of 9th House that is AL9 serves
the need of Arudh in Navamsa,

therefore if you again start analyzing Arudh in D-9 , it would just create confusion.

D-60 is the chart of maximum importance; even Parashara has rated this chart above lagan and
navamsa.

This chart should be seen for all the matters.

Hence as an exception, Arudh in this chart are of great importance.

http://www.nikhilworld.com/read-your-handwriting.html

Read your Handwriting

6 years back when I was doing my engineering, I had started writing a book on Handwriting
reading, but unfortunately due to

many other commitments, I was not getting the appropriate time to give that work few last
finishing touches. Hence I thought, till

the time that work reaches its destination of getting published, let me just write an Article on the
basics of this very interesting

and captivating world of handwriting reading.

As you all know that my basic objective is to always teach you something new in the simplest
way possible by the grace of God,

hence this time also, I assure you that after reading this write up, you all would be in a position to
decipher all your current

personal characteristics through your own handwriting.

I really want all of you to become good handwriting readers and then dear all; please do not
forget to pray for your friend Nikhil

as I really need all your blessings and good wishes.

There are many books of handwriting reading available in the market but they all frustrate the
reader with so many complex

terminologies, that reader do not even attempt to read beyond few pages. I on the other hand will
not bore you so many terms,

which may force you to say that “O Nikhil please forgive us, learning handwriting reading is
beyond our scope”. So it’s my

prerogative to bring every concept within your reach.

Here I begin, with some rules and the correct methodology to proceed, read them very carefully
and try to catch the soul of each

rule, rather than mugging it up:

Step 1:

Ask the person who want to get his handwriting reading, to write at least 2 paragraphs of at least
6-10 lines each in front of you.

Now once he starts writing, what will you observe and analyze, for that read ahead:

Step 2:

Firstly you need to prudently observe his/her flow of writing (how fast or slow the person is
writing) and the level of pressure

he/she is applying while writing something, interpretation of the words, sentences and letters can
be done later on, but

information w.r.t the flow of writing can only be appropriately observed during the time when he
is actually writing something. So,

first step would be to observe the flow and pressure of his handwriting

Inferences: Always remember that in life there has to be a balance of everything.

Writing very fast or very slow both indicate something negative.

Like, Writing very fast may mean that person is always in a hurry, he does not have a
temperament to give anything a deep

thought and therefore he will take his decisions very fast as a result most of which will prove
wrong in the long run. It may also
mean that person is very dynamic and energetic but his energies are not perfectly in his control.
Remember don’t think that

Nikhil is teaching you something, instead apply your common sense, you will immediately agree
with me. I cannot write each

and everything over here, but once you will start applying your common sense then you will
predict many more things accurately

without reading any books.

I am here showing you the way, giving you the approach, once you have the right approach, you
yourself will discover your own

set of rules.

Also mind it that nothing should be said immediately, first you need to observe each and
everything and only in the end, after

applying all the rules, you should say something.

Writing sentences very slowly may mean that person has very slow thinking, he/she is less
energetic, have less drive to take

initiatives, and this person will find it very difficult to lead others. You all must be
understanding, why I am saying this. Common

sense

Pressure has to be ideal, nether very neither low nor very high, you see as I said balance has to be
there. The pressure should

not be so low that its appears as if the pen itself will slip from his hand or paper itself shouts, that
baby come on I will not die if

you will apply some more pressure on me. Don’t laugh, that’s a fact, some people hold pen so
loosely that even the pen starts

feeling insecure.

So dear all, People who apply very less pressure, are actually very less confident, lack focus, do
not have a strong character ,lot

of insecurity rests in them, generally the childhood of such people are full of problems. I will not
write in detail, since I want to
ignite your common sense, and do not want to give you a course material of a coaching institute.

People who apply so much pressure that even the paper gets teared from some places is again not
healthy, these kinds of

people are basically very intense, frustrated and are cruel by nature. Apply your common sense,
this person do not even spare

that harmless paper, then why will he spare the people around him. Anger becomes the mark of
the nature of such people.

Confidence becomes overconfidence and love gets converted into lust.

In other words pressure should be neither be very high nor very low, Flow of handwriting should
neither be very slow nor should

be very fast.

Now let’s move ahead with some more rules:

Step 3:

After observing the flow and the pressure, now come to the next 3 basic things:

1) Height of the letters or words.

2) Spacing between the words + Spacing between the letters.

3) Angle of inclination of words + Angle of inclination of sentences.

All the 3 points are very simple to understand so will explain in short, rest I will leave it to your
common sense. As pinch of

common sense can give you the knowledge of 100 books instantaneously

Height of the letters

It’s very simple, as the height of the letters increases, the level of confidence and ambition also
increases, but this doesn’t mean

that there is no limit of increasing the height. As I had stated earlier, there has to be a balance.
Beyond a certain point or height

that confidence would get converted into overconfidence and ambition would turn into over
ambition, love will become addiction.
I will not give you the exact measurements of height as that would confine your thinking; I will
say that you yourself will come to

know that someone’s handwriting is ABNORMALLY BIG. These kind people whose
handwriting are made up of words or letters

which are abnormally big in size, becomes too much materialistic, their needs never gets
satisfied as they keep on demanding

more from life, if they are famous they would still want more fame, hope you would have got the
basic meaning.

There are some people, the letters in whose handwriting are so small, that they look like great
warriors against global warming

who are saving precious paper (a natural resource) by shrinking their handwriting. Many a times
your eyes will feel the stress in

reading such handwritings. These people, the height of letters in whose handwriting are very
small, are actually the ones who

themselves wants to remain hidden from this whole world, they have their own world, generally
are very insecure, any kind of

big thinking would give them a shivering, they will try to hide their thoughts and action from the
people around them, but these

people are very focused, could have high level of intelligence and accuracy.

Just note, that I am giving you the meaning of both the extremes in every case, whether its flow
or pressure or height or any

other concept. In other words I am telling you, what will happen, as you move towards any
extreme, the conclusions w.r.t

anything which falls in between these 2 extremes should be derived by your own common sense.
As if I will keep on taking each

and every case, that process would never end.

One more very important concept is that if you divide any word or letter in the 3 equal parts, then
the bottom part tells you about

the background or past of that person, middle part cast a reflection on his present and upper part
has its roots in the future of
that person. (This concept needs practice to implement), but those who have enough common
sense would have already

understood what exactly I mean through the above 3 sentences.

Spacing between the words + Spacing between the letters.

Here also if you apply your common sense, you will easily understand the reasoning part, As the
spacing between the words

increases the person like to maintain his or her privacy or his interference in the matters of others
will decrease, he would be

more focused, would be more creative, less dependent on others, self confident and self initiator.
Again by this I do not mean

that you will keep on increasing the spacing between the words to make yourself suitable
candidate of above mentioned good

adjectives. As I always say, there has to be a balance, you yourself will come to know that
whether the person is leaving good

moderate space (balance) between the words or whether he is leaving abnormally large spaces
between 2 words. Abnormally

large spaces between the 2 words could mean that he finds it really difficult to get mixed up with
the people, insecurity level

rises, would be very secretive, if you will try to poke your noses in the lives of such people, they
may shout at you. So

abnormally large spaces are unhealthy too

Now coming to the people who just hate spaces between 2 words, if everything is left to them,
they would be even happy to

combine all the words into a single long word, Don’t laugh, there are definitely such people who
would hardly leave any space

between words as if leaving space is against their pride. These people become too materialistic,
any kind of hype (false) may

affect them, have a follower kind of attitude, they always want someone around them, whether
friends or relatives or colleagues,
living alone is like death to them. Taking decisions on their own is not their cup of tea, would
involve too many people in their

decision making process and as they say “too many cooks spoil the food”, very emotional and
being very sensitive are part of

their personality. Insecurity also comes in a dowry for them. These people could be over
transparent and would hardly relish

anything in their stomach, BUT if the spacing between letters is also close to negligible then
these people turns into a selfish

creatures, becomes very secretive, phrases like “my food”, “my house”, “my car”, “my
perfume”, “my room”, “my boyfriend”

becomes part of their vocabulary. These people have bounded intelligence and vision, cannot
think big, obviously to think big,

you need to move away from yourself which is not possible in their case as they cannot think
anything beyond themselves.

Yes if the spacing between the letters is sufficient (not abnormal), such that each letter is
adequately readable then the above

results should not be declared.

Ideal thing is, there should balance (neither too less nor too more) spaces between the words and
letters. This would give a

balance personality in every aspect of his/her nature.

Angle of inclination of words + Angle of inclination of sentences

Again very easy to make out, some people like to write straight or vertical, some likes to slant
their words in backward or in a

forward direction. When we talk of sentences then they could either be in one line or could get
slanted downward or slanted

upwards. I will take each of the case one by one.

The handwriting, in which the words are Straight and vertical generally belongs to people having
neutral personality, they are

quite satisfied in what they have, their life is generally monotonous as they lack ambition, you
cannot call them depressive nor
they are excited, generally do not want to change the way they live or think, have hard
established thoughts and preconceived

notions.

The handwriting, in which the words slant in the forward direction, belongs to people who are
confident, ambitious, artistic, more

extrovert, like to make new friends and who have the guts to change things, but remember there
has to be a balance, too much

of slanting or bent in forward direction could mean over confidence, person who is always in a
hurry, who acts before he thinks,

over ambitious. Your common sense must be telling you that why I am saying this.

On the other hand, the handwriting, in which the words slant in the backward direction belongs
to the people who are basically

negative thinkers, spontaneity and quick decision making are not their cup of tea, they likes to
follow others, will walk on the path

that has been used by many since engraving their own path requires risk taking abilities which
obviously these people lack. Too

much of slanting or bent in backward direction could mean depressive tendencies, these people
simply lack self respect, fault

lies in their upbringing, since from their childhood they have been taught that you are good for
nothing.

Anyways you all must have captured the essence behind the reasoning through your common
sense.

So before moving to next step, let me just also take up Angle of inclination of sentences, when
the whole sentence seems to

be moving in the downward direction, this itself means negative or depressive thinking, being
optimistic is like climbing a Everest

for them. On the other hand when the whole sentence appears to be moving in the upward
direction, then these people are

always over excited for anything, they are fun lovers, risk takers, likes to take the lead, or I
should say, they are more like kids,
i.e. maturity lacks in them, giving deep thought to something, having calmness, being
responsible, are some qualities which they

lack. Remember I am giving you the approach, i.e. I can teach you how to fly the plane but your
common sense will only help

you in actually flying the plane, no one can teach you that.

Step 4:

Now once you have analyzed the pressure, flow, height of letters, spacing between the words and
letters, Angle of inclination of

words and sentences. Next you need to focus on:

1) Loops

2) Spikes and

3) Stems

Ok, so what are these, very simple, you must have seen that many people, especially girls
(forgive me girls), like to write every

letter in a roundish fashion, whether they are joining two letters or whether they trying to draw
vertical lines, their all words and

sentences looks like beautifully carved circles, so much so that many letters looks quite similar to
each other. Language could

be any, but their way of writing would be just like round Bengali sweets. These Bengali sweets
are known as loops. Don’t laugh,

this is only way you will remember concepts .I am using the word sweets because this kind of
handwritings which has too many

loops is really beautiful in appearances.

In fact some of you must have already recollected many examples of these kinds, may be they
are your old friends or

colleagues or could be you yourself. Anyways jokes apart, these people like to follow others, and
tend to make simple things

round (just like loops), if you ask them an answer to a simple question, they will give you pages
of answer, except the actual
answer. In the end you yourself will think that, have I asked a right question, then after some
time you will understand, that you

have been taken for ride, fault is not yours nor is the fault of such handwriting holders, its in their
nature to see things in a

complex way. Those who like to see the things in a complex way, they will say, wow what a
perfect answer, but the one who has

a clear thinking and knows that answer could be told in 1 line, they will say what a bull shit.

As a result these people can be very good counselors, since when a person is in a problem and
there is no direct solution to his

problem, these people will confuse him so much in their round round talks that he will say that
yes I am feeling better, actually

after sitting in front of such people, that mentally tensed person has also forgot his problems in
the round answer of such people.

Anyways, you must have got the crux. Let me move to spikes:

Spikes are just opposite of loops, every letter or at the end of every word (from the last letter),
you will find a slanting upward line

coming out, as if every word is showing you the knife. Even in formations of every letter, you
would find sharp edges (nothing

would be round). These kinds of handwriting looks bad in reading but these people are really
very clear in their thinking and

vision. They know what they want in life and will see everything in a simple way; as a result
they sometimes end up solving even

the complex problems easily. Good confidence, outspoken, creativity, charismatic, leaders and
being aggressive are all marks of

such people. These people are dependable and trustworthy but if you end up making such people
as your enemy then only god

can save you, as that knife of every letter and word will pinch you from all corners.

Coming to stems: language could be any, but in the formation of most of the letters, there is an
involvement of a vertical line,
these vertical lines are known as stems. These stems are like a spinal cord of many letters hence
their formation reveals lot of

things w.r.t to the personality of the person. If the stems are weakly formed, small in size, less
prominent in that particular letter

or word, bent from the bottom or top, then it reflects less confidence, insecure attitude, lack of
leadership skills, inconsistency

and untrustworthy or non-dependable. These parameters will not suffer in case stems are
appropriately formed.

Step 5:

Some other distinguished features of the handwriting.

Though I have covered lot of things but still many things are left which I will subsequently take
up in my coming write ups on

handwriting reading. So stay connected.

Till then, God Bless and take care.

Karmas (Actions) or Destiny- which is more powerful ?

Karmas (Actions) or Destiny- which is more powerful ?

Many people argue that if everything is fixed as per Destiny or planets, then what's the
importance of doing good deeds or

karmas or actions etc in our life.

So dear all please Remember:

Destiny is fixed since its defined on the basis of your past karmas (deeds or actions), NO
remedies whatsoever can change it.
If somebody claims to change your destiny through any remedy, then he is simply fooling you.

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT, your friend Nikhil has to say something deep and subtle.

Through karmas or actions or remedies or name of GOD. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR
THOUGHTS POSITIVE.

So if your death has come, then no body on this earth can save you from dying but if you will try
then, you can choose to die

happily.

Hence, NO alterations are possible as far as EXTERNAL events are concerned.

BUT your ATTITUDE and PERCEPTION towards those external events can be refined through
karmas or actions or remedies or

name of GOD.

IN other words INTERNAL EVENTS can be changed but external events cannot be altered since
they are controlled by planets

or destiny or your past karmas.

Hope you all would have understood the difference between Internal and external events.

These Internal events only SKETCH the CHANGES in YOUR NEXT LIFE to a major extent.

SO KARMA'S or DOING GOOD DEEDS IS OF utmost importance to shape your thoughts with
the mud of positivity.

and DESTINY or your past karmas (actions) is of utmost importance w.r.t each external event
which happens or occur or take

place in your life.

So take these words of your friend Nikhil very straight and always remain eager to execute good
deeds in life. You will surely

feel better and happy. So simple.

A deeper view on Internal dynamics:

If internal events or our thought process is also fixed to the root. Then there will never be NO
scope for improvement for
anybody. NOW READ MY words VERY VERY carefully.

Suppose as per destiny a person has to face some problem for few seconds in every hour of the
day.

1 hour has 60 minutes and 1 minute has 60 seconds. So 1 hour has 3600 seconds

So in the above example suppose for 5 seconds a person faces some issue/problem, this 5 second
problem in 1 hour is HIS

DESTINY, in this 5 seconds even his internal events would be controlled BY DESTINY.

BUT BUT, what about those 3595 seconds, in which destiny has given no problem to that
person.

A normal person will keep thinking about his problem even in those 3595 seconds and hence will
lose the happiness of "No

problem state of those 3595 seconds".

Now why this happens, why that person is not able to notice that "No problem state of those
3595 seconds", BECAUSE he has

not practiced meditation or sadhna. If he would have practiced to observe each and every second
of his life through practice of

karama (like singing, or dancing or running or painting or any work), then he would be able to
NOTICE that 3595 seconds

As a result those 3595 seconds would be sufficient enough to defeat the negativity of those 5
seconds. BUT what happens is

reverse. 5 seconds negativity on account of destiny defeats those 3595 seconds

This is what I call understanding internal dynamics of thoughts.

The DAY YOU WILL LEARN TO LIVE LIFE in seconds, the same day, even after having
BAD 5 seconds every hour due to

destiny, you will be able to remain calm and in peace for the rest of the time.

THIS IS THE WAY moksha or enlightenment is achieved

BUT WHAT PREVENTS us to live in seconds, is "Kaam (passion), krodh (anger), lobh(want) ,
moh (attraction), irshya
(jealousy)". That's why we say that these things can be curbed through the name of god or
remedies.

Once these 5 enemies vanishes, you can live life in seconds and at that stage even after being in
control of destiny you can

remain detached from destiny through controlling your internal dynamics of thoughts.

If you can learn to reduce your inhalation & exhalation to 108 times in a day from 21600 times
in a day. You will be in 1 one with

god. You will be live for 1000's of years, you will be beyond time and moksha or enlightenment
will happen to you.

Even Astrologically we can go up to Prana and deha dasha , but even deha dasha lasts for few
hours, SO WILL EACH

SECOND for those few hours BE SAME.

NO, each second is different which you cannot even trace from Astrology. Hence Internal
dynamics of thoughts can go even

beyond astrology and that's where god resides, i.e. beyond time.

TRICK lies in living in seconds and for that great practice of meditation is needed.

An Introduction to Divisional Charts

Divisional charts are the keys to understanding horoscopes as they unlock

that hidden door which refuses to open, even after the astrologer has examined the entire
spectrum of variables for

analyzing a bhāva. So once a bhāva has been put under the gaze, and its rāśi and the planets
housing it and
aspecting it, its lord and its dispositor, its strengths and its Navāṁśa, its ārūḍha padas and special
lagnas, its

kārakas and yogas, argalās and dṛṣṭis, have all been inspected from every possible angle, and yet
clarity is not

achieved, divisional charts come to the fore to dispel the clouds of obscurity. Kalyāṇa Varmā has
said that without

divisional charts, one cannot take a step forward in astrology. It illuminates a bhāva where
darkness prevails and

enables the astrologer to examine bhāva specifc queries in its minutest detail.

Varga Charts

Divisional charts (D-Charts) are the manifold divisions or vargas of the twelve signs of the
zodiac.

Each rāśi is divided into x parts or aṁśas, such as 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 12 etc., wherein the positions
of

the planets are mapped in each aṁśa accordingly. This spatial or aṁśic position of planets are

transformed into a variety of rāśi charts, generating a string of diagrams which are nothing but
maps

of the various divisional representation of the planets. These charts depict diverse aspects of the

native’s life, like marriage, children, profession, wealth, spouse, spirituality, ancestral lineage,

education, troubles and ill health, past life etc.

At another level divisional charts may be contemplated as possibilities and probabilities. The
bhachakra as created by the Kalpuruṣa is a dynamic four-dimensional model wherein the twin
concepts

of time and space have been harmonized. Ordinary horoscopes though two-dimensional, take
into

account linear time and the vertical declinations of the planets. If one considers degrees to
represent

time, then every division of the zodiac has a corresponding division of time. Hence every
division is
locked in specifc time grids. If the rāśi is the only reality, the true mean, or the satya, then the

divisional charts are nothing by projections in multiple time zones and are illusory, like māyā. In
so

far they are projections of the mind, they represent possibilities, which might occur in different
time

frames, from whence one may learn lessons and receive signals, in order to pursue the dictat of
the

rāśi chart in a more meaningful way.

The nomenclatures of the charts are derived in a variety of ways. Some are based on the division

numbers like Saptāṁśa and Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa, which are the 7th and 60th divisions of a sign, while
others

are based on their usage and focus like Siddhāṁśa, which is specifcally for determining the level

of siddhi or higher knowledge and wisdom that the native may or may not have the potential to

achieve. Yet others have multiple names, like the 16th divisional chart, which is known both as

Ṣoḍaṣāṁśa and Kālāṁśa, the 12thdivisional chart known as Dvādaśāṁśa and Suryāṁśa or the

4th divisional chart, known as Chaturthāṁśa or Turīyāṁśa. In daily parlance the divisional charts
are

often referred to by their divisional numbers such D-3, D-4 or D-9. The following table enlists
the

twenty basic divisional charts, their nomenclature and purpose. Division Name D-1 Rāśi D-2

Harmonics

The twelve signs therefore, are divided and sub-divided in different fractions, the sequence of
which

gets repeated after every twelve divisions. Each cycle of twelve divisions represent a ‘harmonic’

depicting the various levels of consciousness, both gross and subtle, which exists in the life of a

person. The frst cycle of divisional charts from D-1 to D-12 represent the physical plane. They

cover the various aspects of the physical realities of a person such as the body itself (D-1, Rāśi),

wealth (D-2, Horā), co-born or siblings (D-3, Drekkāṇa), properties and fortune (D-4,

Chaturthāṁśa), progeny (D-7, Saptāṁśa), spouse (D-9, Navāṁśa), profession, career and work
(D-

10, Daśāṁśa) and parents (D-12, Dvādaśāṁśa). Of these, the Rāśi (D-1), Drekkāṇa (D-3) and

Navāṁśa (D-9) are considered to be the most important in analyzing a horoscope.

The next cycle is the frst harmonic of the previous cycle, covering divisions from D-13 to D-24.
This

represents the conscious plane, depicting the various existential conditions of a person. Although

technically 12 divisions are possible in each cycle, Parāśara’s format of ṣoḍaṣavarga or the 16
kinds

of divisions of each sign is being followed here. In this format, the three divisions of Kālāṁśa
(D-16),

Viṁśāṁśa (D-20) and Chaturviṁśāṁśa or Siddhāṁśa (D-24) are generally used, as the primary

divisions to be studied in this cycle. Kālāṁśa is the frst harmonic of the Chaturthāṁśa showing

luxuries, vehicles and mental happiness. Viṁśāṁśa deals with the spiritual life of a person while

Chaturviṁśāṁśa deals with higher learning. This cycle therefore refers to the higher existential

activities of a person after crossing the frst rung of gross material conditions.
The third cycle or the second harmonic, covering D-25 to D-36, relates to the sub-conscious
plain.

These explore the factors, which lie in the sub-conscious region and unconsciously influence the

mind. They represent inherent weaknesses and strengths (D-27, Nakṣatrāṁśa) and all forms of
evils

that might besiege a person (D-30, Triṁśāṁśa).

The fourth cycle or third harmonic ranging from D-37 to D-48 deals with past karma, which is

inherited as ancestral legacy. The important divisions in this cycle are D-40 or Khavedāṁśa

representing matrilineal legacy and D-45 or Akṣavedāṁśa representing patrilineal legacy. This is

the super-conscious plane.

The fnal harmonic is that of the supra-conscious plane from D-49 to D-60. This shows the

accumulated karma from past births, which a person carries with him like a legacy. In this
context

Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa or D-60 is the most relevant division.

Varga Schemes

The varga charts are clustered in separate groups or schemes for purposes of specifc predictions,

such as ṣaḍvarga, saptavarga, daśavarga, ṣoḍaṣavarga and aṣṭākavarga. Ṣaḍvarga is a group

used in Praśna including the following six divisions: Rāśi, Horā, Drekkāṇa, Navāṁśa,
Dvādaśāṁśa

and Triṁśāṁśa. The saptavarga clusters, used for mundane astrology, include Rāśi, Horā,

Drekkāṇa, Saptāṁśa, Navāṁśa, Dvādaśāṁśa and Triṁśāṁśa. Daśavarga is used universally in

horoscopy comprising Rāśi, Horā, Drekkāṇa, Saptāṁśa, Navāṁśa, Daśāṁśa, Dvādaśāṁśa,

Ṣoḍaṣāṁśa, Triṁśāṁśa and Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa. Finally ṣoḍaṣavarga, the varga scheme adopted by

Parāśara and commonly followed in predictive astrology include the following divisions: Rāśi,
Horā,

Drekkāṇa, Chaturthāṁśa, Saptāṁśa, Navāṁśa, Daśāṁśa, Dvādaśāṁśa, Ṣoḍaśāṁśa,

Viṁśāṁśa, Chaturviṁśāṁśa, Nakṣatrāṁśa, Triṁśāṁśa, Khavedāṁśa, Akṣavedāṁśa and

Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa. Originally the ṣoḍaṣavargīya scheme was reserved for royal horoscopy and has now

become the universally adopted model. A slightly different scheme, which has numerical

representations, is the aṣṭākavarga where dots and dashes are used to delineate the placement of

planets and to determine their relative strengths as well as that of the signs. The complete set of

twenty divisional charts includes Pañchamāṁśa, Ṣaṣṭhāṁśa, Aṣṭamāṁśa and Ekśdaśāṁśa in

addition to the existing ṣoḍaṣavarga arrangement.

Methods of Construction

There are no fxed methods of calculating divisional charts. The standard method followed is that
of

Parāśara, a sequential counting procedure which may or may not be regular. The more
uncommon

method is that followed by modern researchers like Mantreśvara, where the zodiac is divided by

multiples of twelve or by the number of the division.

Parāśara’s method of construction is both regular and irregular. The regular order is known as the

order of Brahmā as it follows the perfect order of nature and is therefore synchronous. This order
is

applicable to those areas, which pertain to the living being, as it is the order of creation. For

example, Navāṁśa and Saptāṁśa are atypical Brahmā divisions. In Saptāṁśa, each sign is
divided

into seven parts. For odd signs, the counting begins from the same sign and for even signs it
begins

from its 7th sign. In the case of Navāṁśa, the signs are divided in to nine parts or the 108 padas
of

the 27 nakṣatras. The counting begins from the same sign for odd signs, from the 9th for even
signs

and from the 5th for dual signs.

The irregular or ‘jumping’ movement is appropriate for those divisions, which pertain to the non-
living

world, the soulless, inanimate objects which men relentlessly pursue. For example, in Drekkāṇa,

where the sign is divided into three parts, the frst part is the sign itself, the second is the 5th form
it

and the third, the 9th from it. In Chaturthāṁśa, where a sign is divided in four parts, the counting
is

done from the sign, followed by the 4th, 7th and 10th signs from it. These therefore do not
belong to the

Brahmā division, which is the regular order of counting, as they do not relate to issues, which
follow

the natural rhythms of the universe.

A signifcant point to note is that many of the divisions have multiple methods of construction,
like the

Horā and the Drekkāṇa. Drekkāṇa may be constructed in four different ways, namely, the

abovementioned Parāśarī method, the Parivṛttitraya Drekkāṇa, the Somnāth Drekkāṇa and the

Jagannāth Drekkāṇa. The Somnāth and Parivṛttitraya Drekkāṇa follow a regular pattern of
counting

while the Jagannāth Drekkāṇa is a different form of the Parāśarī method. These different
Drekkāṇas

may be used for distinct purposes. Although the Drekkāṇa is to be seen for the co-born, it can
also

be seen for the self. In that case, the Parivṛttitraya Drekkāṇa would be suitable for inquiry of the
self

while the Parāśara Drekkāṇa would be more applicable while analysing relations with siblings.
This

is because each bhāva is kāraka for miscellaneous factors and if one wishes to fne-tune the

divisional chart, then the appropriate method of construction will clarify the matter further.

Following Parāśara, the sixteen commonly used divisional charts are as follows:
Horā: Horā is the division of each sign in two halves or Horās, ruled alternatively by the Sun and
the

Moon. Based on the distance between the Sun and the earth, the zodiac is divided in half across

0°Leo and 0°Aquarius, into equal halves of light and darkness or solar and lunar halves. The
solar

half or Surya Horā is from Leo to Capricorn and the lunar half or the Chandra Horā is from
Cancer to

Aquarius in an anti-zodiacal direction. The Horā charts are constructed by assigning the frst half
of

odd signs, 0°-15° to the lordship of the Sun and the second half, 16°-30°, to the rulership of the

Moon. For even signs, the frst half is the Chandra Horā and the second half is the Surya Horā.
The

Sun and Moon therefore own adjoining signs in their Horās. The Horā chart is used for seeing
the

wealth of the native.

Drekkāṇa: Drekkāṇa, otherwise known as the trine division, is the one third division of a sign.

Hence there are 36 Drekkāṇas measuring 10 degrees each. The 1st Drekkāṇa is owned by the
sign

itself, the 2nd by the sign ffth from it and the 3rd by the sign 9thfrom it. So for Aries lagna, the
frst three

Drekkāṇas will be Aries, Leo and Sagittarius and the next three will be Taurus, Virgo and
Capricorn.

Drekkāṇa charts are seen for co-born and siblings as well as for the self.

Chaturthāṁśa: This is the one fourth division of a sign, with each division measuring 7° 30´. The

frst division is the sign itself, the second is the sign fourth from it, the third is the 7th sign and the

fourth is the 10th sign. So for Aries lagna, the frst four divisions will be Aries, Cancer, Libra and

Capricorn. Chaturthāṁśa is useful for a variety of matters such as home, property, mother,

happiness, vehicles and formal education. Alternatively this division is also known Turīyāṁśa.
Saptāṁśa: Each sign is divided into seven divisions of 4° 17´. The counting is sequential, starting

from the sign itself for odd signs and from the 7th sign for even signs. For Aries lagna, the frst
seven

divisions will be from Aries to Libra and the next seven from Scorpio to Taurus. The division is
used

for seeing progeny.

Navāṁśa: The most important division after the rāśi, Navāṁśa is the one ninth division of a sign.

Each sign is divided into nine divisions of 3° 20´ each. The counting begins from the sign itself
for

movable signs, from the 9th sign for fxed signs and from the 5thsign for dual signs. So for Aries
it will

begin from Aries, for Taurus from Capricorn and for Gemini from Libra. Navāṁśa is renowned
for

being the rāśi of the spouse but more importantly, it delineates the spiritual development of the

native by identifying his path and objects of worship. Hence it is also known as Dharmāṁśa.

Daśāṁśa: Daśāṁśa or Swargāṁśa is the tenfold divisions of a sign, measuring 3° each. The

counting begins from the same sign for odd signs and from the 9th sign for even signs. So for
Aries it

will begin with Aries and for Taurus it will commence with Capricorn. Daśāṁśa is an important

division as it deals with the native’s work, career and profession.

Dvādaśāṁśa: This is the one twelfth division of a sign of 2°30´ each. For every sign, the
counting

begins with the sign itself and proceeds sequentially. So for Aries it will begin with Aries and
end with

Pisces and then begin again with Taurus for the next sign. Also known as Suryāṁśa, this division

deals with parental lineage.

Ṣoḍaśāṁśa: Also known as Kālāṁśa, this is the one sixteenth division of a sign, measuring 1°52
´30 . The counting begins from Aries for movable signs, from Leo for fxed signs and from
Sagittarius ″

for dual signs. Kālāṁśa is used for seeing vehicles, luxuries and mental happiness.

Viṁśāṁśa: Viṁśāṁśa is the twentieth division of a sign, 1°30´ each. The counting is done from

Aries for movable signs, from Sagittarius for fxed signs and from Leo for dual signs. Viṁśāṁśa
is

used to determine the spiritual inclinations and scope for occult studies of the native.

Siddhāṁśa: Alternatively known as Chaturviṁśāṁśa, this varga chart shows the 24 divisions of a

sign of 1°15´ each. The counting begins from Leo for odd signs and from Cancer for even signs.
So

for Aries, the 24 divisions will begin with Leo and end with Cancer and then begin with Cancer
again

for the next sign. For Taurus it will begin with Cancer and end with Gemini and then begin with
Leo

for the next sign. Siddhāṁśa denotes higher learning and knowledge, wisdom and siddhi of the

highest order.

Nakṣatrāṁśa: This is the 27th division of a sign comprising 1°6´40 and is also known as Bha ″
ṁśa.

This division is based on an elemental construction. For the three fre signs, Aries, Taurus and

Sagittarius, the counting begins from Aries. For the earth signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, it

begins from Cancer. For the air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, it begins from Libra and for
the

water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, it begins from Capricorn. This division is used for
analysing

the inherent strengths and weaknesses of a sign.

Triṁśāṁśa: This is the thirty fold division of a sign showing all evils that might fall upon the
native.
The counting for this division is slightly different from the aforementioned ones and dependant
upon

the degree placement of the planets. There are two sets of placements for odd and even signs. For

odd signs, planets in the frst 5 degrees are placed in Aries, those in the next 5 degrees are placed

in Aquarius, those in the next 8 degrees are placed in Sagittarius, those in the next 7 degrees in

Gemini and those in the last 5 degrees are placed in Libra. For even signs, planets in the frst 5

degrees are placed in Taurus; those in the next 7 degrees are placed in Virgo, those in the next 8

degrees in Pisces, those in the next 5 degrees in Capricorn and those in the last 5 degrees in

Scorpio.

Khavedāṁśa: This is the 40th division of a sign measuring 45´ each. The counting begins from
Aries

for odd signs and from Libra for even signs. So for Aries it will begin with Aries and eventually
end

with Cancer, with the next sign commencing from Libra. Khavedāṁśa shows inherited karma

through matrilineal lineage.

Akṣavedāṁśa: This is the 45th division of a sign with each part measuring 40´. The counting
begins

from Aries for movable signs, from Leo for fxed signs and from Sagittarius for dual signs. Aries
will

therefore begin with Aries and ultimately end with Sagittarius and then Taurus will begin with
Leo

ending up with Aries and Gemini will start with Sagittarius. This division shows inherited karma

through patrilineal legacy.

Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa: Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa digresses from the above methods by calculating according to the degree

positions of the planets. The degree of a planet is multiplied by 2 and then divided by 12. The

remainder is the sign from which the counting for Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa will begin. Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa is the
division,
which shows past karma and the cause of re-birth in this life. In that sense, Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa is the rāśi

chart of the immediate past birth and is the key to understanding the karmic implications of the

present birth. It is in fact, the key to understanding divisional charts and is perhaps the most

important division of all.

General Principles

The main principles, which should be kept in mind while analysing divisional charts, are the
kārya

rāśi, kāryeśa and the kāraka. Kārya rāśi is the sign of the house, which is the signifcator of the
ruling

activity. Kāryeśa is the lord of the concerned house in the rāśi chart. This lord will have to be
well

placed in both the rāśi and the concerned divisional chart in order to yield benefcial results. For

instance if the kāryeśa is placed in a trine in both rāśi and the concerned division, the bhāva will

flourish. Similarly, the appropriate kāraka will also have to be well placed. The Naisargika,
Sthira and

Chara kārakas will all need to be examined. To analyse co-born in a Drekkāṇa chart, both the 3rd
lord

and kāraka Mars will need to have good situational strength to show any benefcence from
siblings.

If Mars is placed in the 12th house, it will indicate losses in these matters.

Following the above guidelines for methods of construction and principles, one can discern the
basic

characteristics of a divisional chart. For example, Saptāṁśa is a regular Brahmā division,

following a

perfect lunar order like creation, as it is the varga, which deals with progeny. The kāryeśa is the

5th lord and the kāraka is Jupiter. Navāṁśa too is a perfect Brahmā division, relating to spouse
and
dharma. The 7th house, which is the 11th from the 9th, shows the spouse or dharmapatni. Hence
the

7th lord is the kāryeśa and Venus is the kāraka, with Jupiter being an additional kāraka for
women.

Alternatively, Navāṁśa is referred to as Dharmāṁśa. Daśāṁśa, concerning a native’s work,

career

and profession is the realm of Śiva. All beings follow the Sun in their activities. Hence there is a

break in order to show that Śiva’s principles are being followed and not Brahmā’s. The counting
is

done from the frst house for odd signs and from the 9th house for even signs, showing this break
or

irregularity. Daśāṁśa is also known as Swargāṁśa and is applicable whether a native works or
not.

Dvādaśāṁśa too, is a regular order with a tiny break and is hence not a regular Brahmā division.

Dvādaśāṁśa concerns the parents of a native, and the kāryeśa is consequently, the 4th and the

9thlords with Sun and Moon as the kārakas. The position of the Sun will thus reveal the nature of
the

native’s parentage, whether he is born into royalty or is a posthumous child. The kārakas for
paternal

grandparents are Jupiter and Ketu and the kārakas for maternal grandparents are Venus and

Mercury respectively.

For fner analysis, the dignities of the planets representing kāryeśa and the kāraka will need to be

examined. Their exaltation or debilitation, their placement in a friendly or inimical sign in the

divisional charts will independently illuminate a situation. This should be combined with their
rāśi

position to achieve a composite understanding. The only exception is the Navāṁśa where planets

can get both uccha and nīcha bhaṅga depending on the relative rāśi and Navāṁśa positions.
Apart from dignities and sign placements of planets, the relationships between planets will also
need

to be taken into account. These relationships are varied, like yogas, sambandhas, yogāḍas (any

planet that brings out an association between lagna, Horā lagna and Ghāṭikā lagna by ownership,

placement or aspect), kevalas (śubhapati joining lagna or Ātmakāraka), kevala yogāḍas

(śubhapati

associated with lagna and Ghāṭikā lagna or lagna and Horā lagna) and kevala mahāyogāḍas

(association of Horā and Ghāṭikā lagna with kevala). This implies that the śubhapati and its

relationships with other planets in the different divisions play a signifcant role.

These abovementioned factors and principles and their relational dynamics will have to be
reckoned

while exploring divisional charts. These when computed with the rāśi chart fndings will yield

accurate results and provide a holistic picture of the life of the native.

Higher Divisional Charts

Although astrologers stop short at ṣaṣṭiāṁśa when using divisional charts, there is an entire range

of higher harmonics, which remain untapped. This is primarily due to the fact that not enough

research has been undertaken in the potential and use of these divisions. They include the
following:

D-72 – Aṣṭa Navāṁśa

D-81 – Nava Navāṁśa

D-108 – Aṣṭottarāṁśa

D-144 – Dvādaśa Dvādaśāṁśa

D-150 – Nāḍiāṁśa

D-300 – Ardha Nāḍiāṁśa

These higher divisions operate at an ethereal level, dealing with esoteric matters such as dreams
and the higher spirit self. The cognitive development of divisional charts can only be in further

research in the direction of these higher harmonics, which perhaps carry the seed of unveiling the

mysteries of the soul’s journey on this earth.

Beyond the apparent sectoral allocations, divisional charts embody directives for the native to

pursue the lessons of the soul. It contains correctives for redeeming past karma and to prevent

repetitions of errors. It forewarns about the treacherous paths and indicates the curative
alternatives.

The study of divisional charts will therefore enable the native to make choices, to probe deeper
into

his psyche and his self and fathom the purposes of his existence. Take for instance Ṣoḍaśāṁśa,

which deals with vehicles, luxuries and mental happiness. The conjoining of the Rāhu-Ketu axis

show that to escape the nodal bind of rebirth, the pleasures or the happiness apparently indicated
by

this division may be ephemeral. True bliss or happiness, which can only occur with the
dissolution of

the self in the Paramātmā, should therefore be the only goal, while the promise of Ṣoḍaśāṁśa is

only māyā. The yoking of the nodal axis in Ṣoḍaśāṁśa is the coded message that the happiness
of

Ṣoḍaśāṁśa is illusory and that true happiness lies elsewhere, beyond the entrapment of the
nodes,

wherein fledgling lives are ensnared. Similarly, one should be able to analyse and discover the

message behind each of the divisional charts. Therein lies the true meaning of vargas.

Principles of Divisional Charts

Primary Divisions

We must not forget that it was the Hindus who discovered what is known as the precession of the

Equinoxes, and in their calculation such an occurrence takes place every 25,827 years. Our
modern

science, after labors of hundreds of years has simply proved them to be correct….Count
Viscount Cheiro

1.1 Time and Space

Time and space are like endless rings without a beginning and without an end. The definition of
the

beginning of a linear time scale or the starting point of the Universe has been the vexed question
of many
a thinker and this thought leads the mind to a definition of God as being imperceptible. The great
Vedic

thinkers personified God as Kalapurusha[1] and harmonized these two concepts of time and
space into the

four-dimensional model of Bhachakra (geocentric zodiac). Normally the Bhachakra is

represented as a

two dimensional figure for easy reading on paper, but the other dimensions of a dynamic linear
time and

the vertical declination of the planets were also examined and noted. Thus, the first and foremost
point to

bear in mind is that every division of the zodiac has a similar or matching division of time. As
we study

each of the divisions, we will also examine the time measure represented by it and will get
additional

clues to interpret results and delineate the effect of time on the division.

1.2 Rasi & Nakshatra

The division of the zodiac into twelve signs and twenty seven (or twenty eight Nakshatra) is the
primary

division in the paradigm of Vedic Astrology. Every now and then a new planet is seen and the
doubts arise

in the minds of the learned on the continued validity of the twelve sign zodiac. To clear these
doubts, it is

necessary to understand the basis of this primary division called Rasi. The zodiac of 12 signs and
27

constellations was prepared by carefully observing the movement of the Sun and Moon in the
geocentric

model of the universe.

1.2.1 Rasi – twelve Sun signs.

The relative motion between the Sun & Moon shows that the Synodical Month (new moon to
new moon
or full moon to full moon) is 29D 12H 44M 3S = 29.53059D. Rounding off to the next higher
integer we

get 30 days during which, the average solar motion is 30 Degrees. Finally, dividing the
Bhachakra of 360

degrees by 30, we get 12 signs, or the 12 sun signs as the Sun[2] gets over-lordship of all signs
being their

pater. The twelve signs are Mesha (Aries), Vrisabha (Taurus), Mithun (Gemini), Karkata
(Cancer), Simha

(Leo), Kanya (Virgo), Tula (Libra), Vrischika (Scorpio), Dhanus (Sagittarius), Makara
(Capricorn),

Kumbha (Aquarius) and Meena (Pisces).

Figure 4 : The Sun sign Zodiac

Figure 5 : Hora (Aho-Ratra)

This method of division of the Zodiac into two halves is based on the distance of the sun

from the earth. This divides the zodiac along an imaginary line passing through the zero

degrees of Leo and Zero degrees of Aquarius into two halves. Half or Hora is derived from

the word Aho-Ratra[3] indicating the two-fold divisions of the day into equal halves of light

and darkness. Thus, this division of the zodiac was into the two parts called Solar and Lunar

halves[4] or Surya Hora and Chandra Hora respectively. The solar half or Surya Hora

included the six signs in the zodiacal order from Leo to Capricorn and the lunar half or

Chandra Hora included the six signs from Cancer to Aquarius in the reverse order. This

division has nothing to do with Ayana. The Sun and Moon own adjoining signs (i.e. Leo &

Cancer respectively) in their Hora’s while the fve other planets in the order of Mercury,

Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn (based on their geographical distances from the Sun i.e.

Mercury is closest and Saturn is the most distant) shall own the signs in their proximity to

Leo (and Cancer) reckoned in the zodiacal (or reverse) order[5] (Figure -2)
1.2.3 Hora – (based on solstice)

The Rishi’s also observed the two solstices’ where the length of the day (i.e. daylight duration)
was the

longest and shortest respectively called the summer and winter solstice[6]. The Summer solstice
is the

longest day and marked the end of the hot summer season and beginning of the rainy season. So
also the

winter solstice marked the end of the long nights. Thus, the zodiac was divided into two halves
along an

imaginary line passing through the Zero Degrees of Cancer and Zero Degrees of Capricorn,
which

showed the position of the Sun at these two extreme points of longest day and longest night. This
formed

the two Ayana or halves of the zodiac comprising three seasons each. The specific terms used are
UttarAyana or Northern Goal and Dakshin-Ayana or Southern- Goal and refers to the ‘goal’ of
the Sun as it

seeks to reach the northernmost point of the zodiac (i.e. Zero degrees of Cancer) or southern-
most point

(i.e. zero degrees of Capricorn). This can also refer to the goal of seeking the northernmost
latitude[7],

which coincides with summer solstice, or the southernmost latitude[8], which coincides with
winter

solstice.

Figure 6 : Ayana

1.2.4 Kendra (Quadrant)

The beginning of the zodiac was fixed based on the position of the sun on equinoxes i.e. when
the days

and nights are equally long and this was at the zero degree of Aries and Libra. In this manner, the
four
crucial points of the zodiac were determined as zero degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and
Capricorn. The

Rishi’s realized that there were actually two zodiac’s – one where the solar system could be
considered as

an independent system in itself and another in which the solar systems movement around another
ellipse

center called VISHNU-NABHI is also accounted for. These two zodiac systems are called
Sayana

(Tropical) and Nirayana (Sidereal) Bhachakra. The primary difference between the two being the
motion

of the solar system in the universe which is measured by the period of precession of the
equinoxes –

25,800 years and when calculated from the point when the same is zero (i.e. sidereal and tropical
zodiac

coincide) is called Ayanamsa [9] . Now, the difference between the starting points of the two
zodiac’s at

any point of time is called Ayanamsa. In the concept of the Hindu calendar[10] we realize that

Varahamihira’s advocation of using the Suklanta Masa had a lot to do with the nomenclature of
the

Months on the basis of the normal Nakshatra position of the Full Moon and this determined the
start of

each lunar month (and not the Amanta Masa system as is in vogue in most of India today). In any
case the

star ‘Chitra’ was observed as the point of fixation and ‘Chitra Paksha’ referring to the opposite
point from

‘Chitra [11]’ represents the beginning of the zodiac.

The basic point is that the zodiac was divided into four parts of ninety degrees each by the four
points

representing the beginning of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn and that these four points
defined the
four goals of human existence as (a) Dharma – righteousness and adherence to natural and
societal

principles (b) Moksha –Spirituality and emancipation from the cycle of rebirth, (c) Kaama –
existence of

desires and their fulfillment or denial as the cause of rebirth and (d) Artha – wealth. The four
parts, on the

other hand, divided the life into four ashrams, which form the foundation of Hinduism. This is
also the

concept in ‘Chatuspada [12] Dharma’.

The Sankhya Shastra teaches extensively about the Pancha Tatwa or the five forms of existence
of all

bodies. These forms of existence are (1) Prithvi (Solid state), (2) Jala (Liquid state), (3) Vayu
(Gaseous

state), (4) Agni (Energy state) and (5) Akash (ethereal or vacuum state). Vacuum permeates the
entire

universe and hence, the Akash Tatwa is present throughout the Bhachakra. The other four Tatwa
were

found to be in a predominant form in Aries (Agni), Cancer (Jala), Libra (Vayu) andCapricorn
(Prithvi).

1.2.5 Trikona (Trine)

In a similar manner, the Trikona (trine) should also be understood as being the division of time
into three

aspects of past, present and future. Using (a) Manu Smriti statement that ‘a day in the life of the
Gods is a

year in human life’ we arrive at the basic equation of 1 Deg (=day motion of Sun) representing 1
year in

Human life, and (b) Parasara’s statement that the Param Ayus for human beings is 120 years, we
arrive at

the angle of 120 Degree representing the present life, next 120 deg representing the future and
120 degree
representing the past. The span of 120 degrees of the zodiac covers 9 Nakshatra and thus, a
group of nine

Nakshatra before Janma (birth) Nakshatra represents the past, the group of nine from Janma
represents the

present while the remaining group of 9 represents the future.

This three-fold division is very fundamental to Vedic Astrology and we have the three types of
Chara

(Movable), Sthira (Fixed) and Dwisbhava (Dual) signs. Since the three types are based on the
original

longevity equation of Parasara (120 Deg = Full life), this is used in the most basic methods to
estimate

longevity.

1.2.6 Ritu – The Six seasons.

The change of seasons formed the primary basis for the Hindu calendar where the year was
divided into

six seasons called Ritu. Rains were considered the blessings of the Gods and the rainy season
was

considered as that during which life came to this earth. This formed the principle behind
determining the

life giving portion of the zodiac as well as the concept of the coming down of the individual soul
from the

heavens above with the raindrops [13]. The distribution of the seasons in each Ayana, their
extent in the

zodiac and ruling planets are given in Table-1. Furthermore, the Ritu should be understood only
from the

solar months [14] (i.e. Sun’s transit) and not the lunar months. Since the Sun was accepted as the
cause of

all seasons, it was natural to give the over lordship of the seasons to him.

1.2.7 Nakshatra – (Lunar Mansions)

Having divided the zodiac into 12 signs based on the Sun’s movement, it was necessary to also
divide this

into parts to study the effects of the movement of the Moon. Considered independently, the
Moon takes

27D 7H 43M 11.5S to go around the earth. This is called the Sidereal month. Taking the integer
27 we get

the 27 Nakshatra or Lunar Mansion (each 130 20’ of arc). Each Nakshatra was identified with a
star, (or

star cluster) and derived its name from it. The 7-¾ hour shortfall in a sidereal lunar transit was
made up

by a short-span intercalary (hypothetical) Nakshatra called Abhijit. The span of Abhijit is

determined
proportionally as (7h 43m 11.5s/ 24 hrs) x 130 20’ = 40 17’ 20″. This span is from 2760 40’ to
2800 57’

20″overlapping the 21st Nakshatra (Uttarasadha). This becomes the 28th Nakshatra, which is
used in

some Chakra like the Kala Chakra and the Sarvatobhadra Chakra etc.

1.3 Divisions of a sign

Division refers to an orderly division of the 30 degrees of a sign into parts called Amsa. The
charts

constructed on the basis of the ownership of these divisions[21] are called Divisional Charts or
simply DCharts. The sign is divided into ‘N’ number of parts where ‘N’ refers to the Varga
number. Each part is

called an Amsa and maps into a specific sign of the D-N Chart. If any planet or Lagna is placed
within an

Amsa, then it is also in the mapped sign of the D-Chart.

To understand this, let us consider the chart of a person born on the 7th of August 1963. Some of
the

planetary positions are Lagna 140 Pisces, Jupiter 260 07’ Pisces, Moon 19057’ Aquarius and
Saturn 26050’

Capricorn. The Rasi (D-1 Chart) will have Jupiter and Ascendant in the first house in Pisces,
Moon in the

12th house in Aquarius and Saturn in the 11th house in Capricorn. Let us attempt to determine
the

Drekkana divisions and D-3 chart. Here ‘N’ = 3 and each sign of 300 longitude is divided into
three parts

of 100 each. Each of these divisions is called an ‘Amsa’ and more specifically a Drekkana or
‘Trine
division’. The three Drekkana of all signs would be in the longitude range (1) 0-100, (2) 100-200
and (3)

200-300. The first Drekkana of a sign is mapped to itself, the second is mapped to the sign in the
fifth from

it and the third is mapped to the sign in the ninth from it.

Figure 7 : D-Chart construction

Thus, Lagna at 140 Pisces is in second Drekkana and is mapped into Cancer the fifth house from
Pisces.

Jupiter at 260 is in the third Drekkana of Pisces and this is Scorpio in the D-3 Chart. Moon is in
the

second Drekkana of Aquarius and is placed in Gemini in D-3 Chart. Saturn at 270 is in the third
Drekkana

of Capricorn and is mapped to the ninth house from Capricorn (i.e. Virgo) where it is placed in
the D-3

Chart.

1.3.1 Nomenclature

The divisions of the zodiac and the divisional charts constructed on the basis of ownership of
these

divisions are named on various criteria. These include:

1. The division number: This is the numer by which the sign is divided into parts. For example

‘Saptamsa’ composed from Sapta meaning seven and amsa meaning portion. Thus, this is the
one-seventh

division of a sign.

2. Other reference numbers: For example, it is well known that there are 27 Nakshatra. Hence the

name Nakshetramsa coined from Nakshatra and Amsa (portion) refers to the one – twenty
seventh (1/27)

division or the divisional chart prepared from this division occupied by the Lagna and nine
planets.
3. Usage and focus: Every divisional chart (or division) has a specific use and a clearly defined
focus

on a specific area of activity. For example, Siddhamsa is coined from Siddha referring to that
body of

knowledge which a person learns and achieves perfection in and Amsa means portion. So,
Siddhamsa

refers to the division/divisional chart where we study the learning process. This is the 24th
division (D-24

Chart). This is also called the Bhamsa from the word ‘Bha’ (as in Bha-chakra which is the
primary

representation of the zodiac as composed of 27 Nakshatra.

4. Multiple names: Divisions (D-charts) can have multiple names from either of the three

aforementioned methods. For example the 16th division is called Shodasamsa [Shodas (sixteen)
Amsa

(portion)]. This is also called Kalamsa based on the 16 Kala’s in a 24-hour day.

5. Rao’s Method: The nomenclature introduced by Dr.K.N.Rao refers to each divisional chart
directly

by its division number. For example, the Siddhamsa is simply called the D-24 Chart or just D-24
when the

division in the Rasi chart is being referred to.

Bindu[23]

by the eight factors (Lagna and seven planets from Sun to Saturn).

1.3.2 Technical terms

Like every other system, there are various technical terms used in the examination of Divisional
charts.

Getting accustomed to the verbiage helps in understanding and using the system.

1) Varga: Division or Divisional Chart in general usage.

1. Amsa means portion and generally refers to the division of a sign. It also refers to

individual D-charts when used in conjunction with the reference to the division. Example:

Navamsa – Nav (Nine) + Amsa (division) refers to the one-ninth portion of a sign and the

D-9 Chart specifcally.

2. Yoga means union and refers to the association of two bodies, whether mobile

planets/Lagna or static signs in any of the four methods of Sambandha[24]. Any planet
that brings about an association between the Lagna, Hora Lagna and Ghatika Lagna by

ownership, placement or aspect is termed a Yogada.

3. Subhapati: Subha means benefc and specifcally refers to the Moon, as it is the

sustainer of this life. Subhapati is the dispositor of the Moon and its dignity in the various

divisional charts is examined to determine the health and longevity of the native. If the

Subhapati aspects or conjoins the Lagna or Atmakaraka, it is elevated to the position of a

Kevala. In addition if it associates with the Hora Lagna (HL) or Ghatika Lagna (GL) it is

further elevated to a Kevala Yogada and if both HL and GL are also associated with the

Kevala, then it is a Kevala Mahayogada.

4. Karya Rasi is the house, which is the center of focus of the activity related to a

Divisional chart. A D-chart may have many important houses like a Dasamsa where the

sixth house is examined for service related matters or the seventh house is examined for

business, but the focus is the tenth house and for the Dasamsa, the tenth house is the

Karya Rasi. The Lord of the Karya Rasi in the Rasi Chart should be well placed in the

concerned divisional chart for the activity (Karya) to prosper.

5. Karyesh is the signifcator of the Karya (activity) and will vary from one chart to

another depending on the activity involved. For example, in the Dasamsa (profession) a

person can have many Karyesh depending on the activities he is involved in. As an

example let us consider President Bill Clinton. He is a politician and also a lawyer. The

Karyesh for politics is the Sun (note – Moon is for Bureaucracy) and that for a legal

profession is Jupiter. Depending on the placement and strength of these planets in the

Dasamsa, the rise or fall or changes in career can be studied and predicted. The concept

of Argala is vital to determine as to which of these Karyesh shall bloom or perish at any
point of time as the dasa’s change.

6. Karaka means signifcator and are classifed into the three categories of Naisargika,

Chara and Sthira karaka. Details about Karaka and other basic principles like Rasi &

Graha drishti, Argala etc, can be learnt from any standard book.

1.4 Harmonics

Since the twelve sign division is the primary division, it follows that all sub-division of the sign
will fall

in a sequence that repeats after every twelve divisions. Thus, for example, the D-16 Chart
(Shodasamsa or

Kalamsa) will be the first harmonic (or second cycle) of the D-4 Chart (Chaturthamsa). This can
be

expressed mathematically as 16 = (12 x 1)+ (4); where 1 represents the first harmonic. Similarly,
the D-40

(Khavedamsa) Chart is the third harmonic (or 4th cycle) of the D-4 Chart as 40 = (12 x 3) + (4).

Table 4 : Divisional Charts Cycle

Level of Consciousness Cycle/ Harmonic Divisional Charts range

Physical Primary (D-1 to D-12)

Conscious Secondary/ First harmonic (D-13 to D-24)

Sub-Conscious Tertiary/ Second harmonic (D-25 to D-36)

Super- Conscious Quaternary/ Third harmonic (D-37 to D-48)

Supra- Conscious Pentenary/ Fourth harmonic (D-49 to D-60)

The first cycle of divisional charts from Rasi chart (D-1) to Dwadasamsa (D-12) rules over the
physical

plane and covers such matters as physical body (D-1), material wealth (D-2), brothers & sisters
(D-3),

immovable properties (D-4), children (D-7), authority over others (D-5), spouse (D-9), work (D-
10) and
parents (D-12). The second cycle or first harmonic rules over the conscious plane. Technically it
covers

charts D-13 to D-24, but Parasara has restricted the scope to the three primary areas of mental
activity

namely Shodasamsa or Kalamsa (D-16) ruling over matters of general mental happiness,
luxuries,

vehicles etc; Vimsamsa (D-20) wherein spiritualism, occult studies etc are examined and
Chaturvimsamsa

(D-24) for all kinds of learning (which is actually considered a heritage from the society). The
third cycle

or second harmonic rules over the sub-conscious plane covering charts D-25 to D-36. Parasara
advises us

to focus on two charts in this group, namely, Nakshetramsa (D-27) for strengths & weaknesses
and

Trimsamsa (D-30) for all evils. For example if the Moon is exalted and placed in a quadrant in
the D-27

Chart, we can infer that the native is mentally very strong. A weak Mercury in this chart can
show

speaking disorders or a weak speech. The fourth cycle or third harmonic rules over the super-
conscious

plane covering charts D-37 to D-48. However, the good & bad accruing to the destiny of the
individual

due to the Matrilineal karma (seen from Khavedamsa D-40 Chart [as 40 = (12×3) + 4] and that
from the

Patrilineal Karma (seen from the Akshavedamsa D-45 Chart [as 45 = (12×3) + 9] are considered

important in the Shodasavarga scheme of Parasara. The fifth cycle or fourth harmonic rules the
supraconscious plane covering the charts D-49 to D-60. At this level, the heritage (equivalent of
D-12) of the

karma from past births is relevant and the Shastyamsa (D-60 Chart) is vital. Parasara gives the
highest
weightage to this chart in the Shodasavarga scheme. There are much higher planes of
Consciousness and

some other divisional charts like the Nava-Navamsa (D-81), Ashtorramsa or Navamsa-
Dwadasamsa (D-

108) and Dwadasamsa-Dwadasamsa (D-144) are used.

Om Tat Sat

[1] Kala- time, Purusha – God personifed as Man. Hence, Kalapurusha is the personifcation

of time as the ultimate representation of God.

[2] Hence the name Rasi where Ra refers to the Sun God.

[3] Aho means day and Ratra means night.

[4] Kalyan Verma – Saravali 3.09”

[5] Kalyan Verma – Saravali 3.10

[6] Note that the term summer and winter refers to the northern hemisphere and is actually

reversed in the southern hemisphere. The Summer solstice marks the end of summer i.e.

when the Sun reaches its maximum northern latitude, whereas the winter solstice marks

the end of winter when the Sun reaches its maximum southern latitude.

[7] Tropic of Cancer at 230 27’ N Latitude.

[8] Tropic of Capricorn at 230 27’ S Latitude.

[9] Different average rates of precession have been given for Ayanamsa, but the fact

remains that Surya Siddhanta has been very close to the truth in using 24000 years!. The

average rate is 360 Degrees divided by 25,800 years = 50.232558 seconds per year. Note

also that the word is composed of ‘Ayana’ + ‘Amsa’ or literally, portion of the Ayana.

[10] Refer appendix-1 for details.

[11] Here we are referring to the Yogatara of Chitra.

[12] Chatuspada literally means four feet and also refers to the sign Sagittarius which is the

ninth house representing ones fortune or Bhagya. The four feet of Dharma are defned as

the duty towards (a) Universe/Nation (b) Society (c) Family and (d) self in that decreasing

order of importance. It is noteworthy that Parasara uses the term ‘Bhagya’ while referring to

the Chaturthamsa’s results.

[13] The Brhadaranyaka Upanishad explains the Karma theory with reference to the theory

of Transmigration of the soul (samsara). The pious and good souls who have lived a dharmic

life depart for the abode of the forefathers and other such loka. After a period of temporary

bliss, they move on to emptiness via the Moon. From emptiness, they descend to the earth

with the rain and enter the food that is consumed by the prospective father. From the food

they become spermatozoa and are offered to the prospective mother in the altar of fre

(copulation). Then the birth occurs. The Upanishad adds that the unrighteous are incarnated

as birds, insects, animals or plants on the basis of the Karma of the past lives. It is generally

taught that conduct and adherence to the moral code determined these changes. Thus

good karma would promise an exalted future while bad karma will tend to degrade the soul

in the lines of ‘ as you sow so will you reap’. This doctrine of Karma (literally “action”)

provides a very satisfactory explanation for the various social inequalities that exist as well

as the troubles or grief that one faces as it is the result of one’s own acts or misdeeds in the

past. These Karma are divided into two categories called Sanchita and Prarabdha. The

results of Sanchita Karma will be exhausted in the various heavens and hells after death

whereas only experiencing them can lessen the results of Prarabdha Karma. Thus, it is this

Prarabdha Karma, which is the cause of rebirth.

[14] indicated by Mukunda Daivagyna in Nasta Jataka

[15] Jupiter

[16] Snakes ruled by Rahu

[17] Pitri refers to the forefathers and when the Sun is in this place, in the Krishna Paksha

(called Pitri Paksha), the devout Hindu worships the manes and forefathers.

[18] Others – Vishwakarma, Aditya etc.

[19] Water personifed as the protector

[20] Vasudeva

[21] The ownership of individual divisions & signs by planets has been mentioned in

traditional literature:

Trans: Mars, Venus, Merc, Moon, Sun, Merc, Ven, Mars, Jup, Saturn, Saturn & Jupiter are the

lords of the 12 Rasi’s reckoned from Aries. These planets (in the said order also) lord the

Amsa’s (Divisions). Vyankatesh Sharma – Sarvartha Chintamani (Sloka 1.06)

Kalyan Verma (Saravali Sloka 3.11)

[22] Rekha lit. vertical line

[23] Bindu lit. Dots. Thus, Rekha and Bindu refer to marks and dots contributed by the

individual planets (and Lagna).

[24] Two planets can associate by (a) conjunction (b) mutual aspect (c) exchange of signs or

constellations, or (d) aspect/placement in each others signs.

Reading Divisional Varga Charts (7 general steps) + their importance in Rectification +

Prediction (Dasas

for D24/Education and D11/Death)

The following is a summary of some points taken from the recommended threads at the end of
this post. The 7 steps

are factors to consider in looking for a confluence of influences in divisional or harmonic charts.
The difficulty of

synthesizing an interpretation is often in determining the priority of influence and, it is often

good to remember

that what applies in one divisional might vary in another.

STEPS

1. Check the divisional lord of lagnas in Rasi

The strength of the divisional lord in rasi will determine the strength of the divisional. It is
preferable that the lagna

lords of divisionals (eg. D8 & D30)are weak in rasi whilst the divisionals of harmonics to do
with benefic houses in

Rasi are strong in charts such as D9, D20 & D24. (eg. a 5th or 9th lord benefic strong in Rasi).
Even better if such a

lord rules over many "good" divisionals. The same applies for "bad" divisionals.

Remember that the lagna in divisional represents the native in relation to the significations of the
respective

divisional charts. The lord's aspect on the Ascendant also strengthens the divisional.

2. Check trines in divisionals

In benefic divisionals (eg. D9), trinal planets generally increase the fortune of harmonic
significations, whilst
dusthana houses (6,8 & 12) reduce respective fortune .

In "difficult" divisionals (eg. D30), trinal planets reduce evil, whilst planets in (6, 8 & 12)
increase "evils".

Of course, this is modified by planets in friendly or unfriendly signs as well as lordship within
the divisional and rasi

chart.

(Note exceptions such as for vipreet yogas, which might improve over time. Also, that 8th and
12th houses may have

more significance and benefits in some divisional charts like the D20, which is an octave of the
4th and 8th house

and moksha/spirituality houses in general ie. including the 12th)

3. Consider Jamini Chara Karakas with respect to relationships

Note that D1-D12 is related more to the level of manifestation in the Rasi (Sun) and fine-tune
these before going to

the deeper divisionals.

In addition, most these charts (D3-siblings, D7-children, D9-spouse, D12-parents) relate more to
relationships that

preserve us, and here, Jaimini Chara karakas have relevance; especially the Navamsa which most
particular relates

to relationships in general as well as the Atmakaraka/Karakamsa (the "King of the Chart" or

Soul).

4. Deeper divisional chart - D13 onwards

Note D13-24 relates more to the inner psychological/psychic and mind issues of the person
(Moon & 4th house

"octave" ramifications)

D16 = harmonic of the 4th house (16-12 or 4x4)

D20 = harmonic of the 8th house (20-12 or 4x5)with 5th house octave (house of ishta devata)
D24 = harmonic of the 12th house (24-12 or 4x6) with 6th house octave (education, growth of
knowledge, siddhis

and perfections)

D25-D36 relates to issues of deeper subconscious mind and the planet karaka Mars (& Saturn) to
do with strengths

and overcoming evils.

ie. D27 (3x9) = harmonic of the 3rd, D30 (6x5) = harmonic of the 6th

D37-48 (D40 & D45) relates to Mercury (and parental lineage) whilst D49-60 relates to Jupiter
(own past

lineage/lives)

In fact, harmonic divisional charts can go as far as D72 (Asta Navamsa), D81 (Nava Navamsa),
D108 Nadiamsa

(Astorraramsa), D144 (Dvadasa Dvadasmsa), D150 (Nadiamsa) and D300 (Ardha Nadiamsa)
charts. These operate

at an ethereal level, dealing with esoteric matters.

It may be based on 9 cycles of 12 = 108, with Sun (1st cycle), Moon (2nd), Mars (3rd), Mercury
(4th), Jupiter (5th),

Venus (6th), Saturn (7th), Rahu (8th) and Kethu (9th). Often the numerical harmonic relates the
house and karaka

within a cycle. eg. D24 = 24-12 = 12 house and 4x6 = 4th house (and houses 6 away) and
karakas Moon & Mercury

5. Consider modification of the Bhavat Bhavam rule for significators to do with karakas with

respect to indications of divisionals.

Eg. D4 divisional for house and properties, consider 4th from Mars for fixed properties, 4th from
Venus for

conveyances, 4th from Mercury etc ...

Also the classic Bhavat Bhavam rule applies from the relevant "octave" house in the divisional

houses
Eg. Look for education in D24 (4x6) with bhavat bhavam from the 4th house: 6th from 4th
relates to the 9th and

higher education; whilst 6th from the 9th to the 2nd and Masters level of education; whilst 6th to
the 2nd to the 7th

and Phd level of education

With this logic, the same should apply to D20 & D16 which are octaves of the 4th house too.

D20 for spirituality (4x5): 5th house as well as 5th from 4th relates to the 8th house; 5th from the
8th house relates

to the 12th (meditational devotional practice).

D16 for peace and movement of the mind, transportation on vehicles (4x4): 4th from 4th ie. the
angular houses

(7th, 10th & 1st houses)

This principle of octaves helps differentiate the varying significance of houses between
divisional charts and both of

the above factors may be combined for synthesizing interpretation.

ie. 4th from karaka Mercury as well as 4th house in D24 ti fine-tune indications for basic level of
education from

Rasi

6. Consider now an independent analysis of divisional charts:-

ie. their 12 houses, lordships, aspects, yogas, bhadaka, ARGALA etc..

7. Consider relevant rasi lords in divisional (as well as divisional lords in Rasi and Navamsa for

more subtle analysis)

Note relevant house lords perculiar to relevant divisional as well as the house karaka.

Eg. For D7 and D9

Children => Lord of 5th rasi in D7 along with Jupiter and PK

OR
Sexual relations/procreativity => Lord of 7th rasi in D7 along with Venus OR Marriage => lord
of 7th rasi in D9

along with D9's 7th house, Venus and Dk

- these factors used along with bhavat bhavam principles as given in point 5 (above)ie. 7th from
Venus

NOTE: Remember that Navamsa is important in determining the strength of planets and should
be used to along

with rasi to determine the outcome of a divisional assessment. And, a qualitative analysis of
strength of planets in

rasi and divisionals are just as important , if not more important, than soley relying on quantative
measures such as

Vimshopak and Shadbala.

Conclusion

Examining divisional charts are essential to a detailed analysis of all aspects of a persons life.
Whilst the Rasi chart

may show the level of potential manifestation; and the Navamsa the actualisation of that
potential; the divisionals

reveal in which exact areas these aspects of a persons life take place.

For example, the 4th house, its lord and karakas can reveal many potential indicators, but it is the
their placement

in the the D24 chart that will separate the 4th house aspect of education from other indicators
such as mother,

home, treasures, comforts and vehicles.

Personally, I examine specifics in the divisionals (ie. relevant karaka and houses) and then look
back at the Rasi (&

Navamsa)for the level of manifestation based on yogas, angular positions etc... I give priority to
the factors

mentioned in point 5 above (harmonic modificatation on the bhavat bhavam rule) ie. looking at
relevant houses in
relevant harmonic as well as bhavat bhavam and general positions from the relevant karaka.

In fact, the karaka planet holds the key as its general significations stay the same despite changes
in house

ownership between charts. But confluences within and between charts and their houses can be
vital in revealing it's

operation and co-operation with the area of life being targeted for interpretation. This includes
how lords of

relevant house inter-act between charts.

For example, looking for education in D24 chart, and relevant houses there. ie. 4th house (high
school), 9th house

(degree), 2nd house (Masters) & 7th house (Phd level) as well as Ascendant lord, trinal positions,
friendly signs,

angular positions, mahapurusha, neechabhanga, vipreet and other yogas, aspects, argala, bhadaka
house etc... as

well as looking at its co-ordination with karaka Mercury (and Jupiter for higher education)
before looking to the

Rasi and Navamsa for level and area of manifestation (including 4th, 9th, 2nd & 9th Rasi lord in
D24 depending on

the level of education).

Thus, if one is looking specifically at the high school level of education the 4th house would be
more relevant, but if

looking at he degree level the 9th house (6 away from the 4th house) and its bhavat bhavam
principle (9th away)

would be more applicable as well as the influence of Jupiter.

In conclusion, fine-tuning down to specifics requires the correct use of divisionals with the
relevant application of

houses, karkas and bhavat bhavam rule (based on harmonic octaves).

Note on Rectification:

Note that divisional charts are very important in rectification of the birth time.

Whilst the Ascendant in the Rasi changes about every 2 hours (12 x 2 = 24 hours), the
divisionals are used to find

the exact time within an Ascendant (within 2 hours). By examining a "confluence" between the
D16 (accidents),

D20 (spirituality), D24 (education, knowledge and siddhis) & D30 (diseases) charts along with
D9 (general
strength, luck and marriage/relationships), the exact position of the degree of the Rasi Ascendant
can be gauged.

The deeper divisionals (ie. D16-D30) represent upto a 4 minute change in the birth time whilst
the D9, just over a

13 minute band of time. Therefore, 9 Navamsa signs make up a sign (2 hours). By altering the
Navamsa, the deeper

divisional charts (such as the D30) Ascendant will also alter up to 3 signs. And, through relevant
questions as well

as observation, we can gather which of these Divisional charts are more relevant to the persons
life and therefore,

more clearly identify how the planets change in the houses of that divisional to match and make
sense of the "event"

or observations from the information given.

Also note that, like the rectification of Ascendants in the Rasi chart, it is important to not only
consider the

characteristics of the Ascendant and its lord, but also the changes of the planets in houses relative
to the change of

an Ascendant. In a harmonic, which is an octave of the Rasi, these house positions become more
significant. ie. D24

(4x6) means that 4th, 9th, 2nd and 12th houses gain importance. Therefore, if education,
academia or knowledge

features prominently in the person's life, not only should this divisional become significant, but
these harmonic

octave houses. Having found a probable Ascendant in a significant divisional, this can be used as
the compass to

rectify the other divisionals as well as start to "see" the confluence between the other divisional
(especially the

Navamsa + Ak position). Of course, this should also be confirmed by then looking back into the
Rasi chart. And

remember that Drekanna D3 chart can help home in on the Navamsa by being a 3 Navamsa x 40
minute division of
a rasi. Lastly, use the dasa bhukti lord to correlate the confluence with actual reported events of
the persons life.

Another example of D24 chart & education:

ie. interpretation using Argala as well as usual integration planetary aspect, rasi aspect, bhavat
bhavam rule,

lordship, friendship & yogas.

(Venus in own sign with 8th lord Jupiter) and 4th (Sun, Mars & Mercury) houses of the rasi
chart. Also note that the

Mercury is in the Navamsa of Scorpio and aspected by vargotomma Mars in Leo (4th house rasi)
and in both charts

aspected by Jupiter (rasi & planetary aspects). This adds to the mechanical abilities revealed in
the rasi chart. Mars

is also trine to Mercury in the D24 chart.

Prior to degree level of education, difficulties in education can be seen from the malefic and
separative

influences in the 4th house (Mars 12th lord and Kethu) as well as the Mercury in D24 in 7th
"bhadaka" house in

debilitation with the nodes. However, education was at top schools and institutions due to the
Raja yoga 5th lord

Mercury in the 4th with owner Sun in Leo. Also, in the D24 chart, Sun is 4th from Mercury as
well as aspecting the

4th house. Education was always overseas or at international schools, indicated by Mercury in
the 7th house with

the nodes in the D24 chart.

Jupiter dasa was running. Jupiter, lord of 8th and 11th, is in the 6th with lagna lord. In the D24, it
has the papa

argala from Mars and Saturn, despite being in the 9th (& the 4th lord of education), and
countered by the Mercury

(virodargala) 11th from it.

Degree level education began during the Saturn Mahadasa and Sub period. This was full of
initial problems and

inner tests due to the Rasi chart Saturn being the retrograde Atmakaraka (malefic), bhadakish
and in debilitation in

the 12th as 9th lord (past life karmas). However, it has neechabhanga yoga, with (Aries
exaltation) planet Sun and
lord Mars in the 4th rasi house and both angular to Moon and Ascendant. Saturn is also 9th from
the Sun (which is

in 4th house as 4th lord) and karaka Mercury. In the 12th, this gave the degree level of education
overseas (Saturn

in Sagitarius Navamsa = Australia). In addition, karaka for higher education (Jupiter) is

aspecting from the 6th as

well as being 9th from the Moon with Venus in own sign Libra.

In the D24 chart, Jupiter is the 4th lord and is in the 9th from Ascendant and Moon. This
confirms success in

gaining the degree. Despite being 7th lord bhadakish (for mutable Ascendants), it has the
positive argala of Venus

(rasi lagnesh) from the 10th (its house 9th lord in the 10th - a raja yoga)and is with the rasi 4th
lord & amk Sun (in

AL Gemini in D24). Sun and Venus are 4th from Mercury. Also, Mercury in Pisces aspects its
own 10th house

Gemini. Thus, the D24 reveals that after overcoming some obstructions (bhadaka), success was
assured (Jupiter in

the 9th).

Note that all planets in D24 chart (except Mars) aspect the Moon & Ascendant (especially from
Mercury, as

Ascendant lord). However, the field of education always has some obstacles due to the Saturn
(Dasa lord) and Mars

having a papa argal on the Moon and Ascendant, but countered to some extent by the Jupiter in
the 9th on all 3

planets; Saturn (Dasa & 9th rasi lord), Moon and Mercury. Jupiter also aspects the dasa lord
Saturn in the Rasi

chart. Overall, education improved during and by the end of the degree level of education due to
the strength of the

position of the Jupiter in the D24 and aspects in D1 Rasi. Also, that by passing from Jupiter dasa
to Saturn dasa, the
Jupiter's influence (aspect) over the Saturn became more effective for success.

But, perhaps, Phd level seems unlikely with the afflictions to the Mercury in the 7th house in the
D24, especially

during the Saturn dasa. But, with much continued effort and struggle (Saturn dasa lord and Mars
are in the 11th

upachaya house and argala to the Ascendant and Moon, with secondary argala to the Mercury),it
may be possible

when Mercury dasa begins running at 39 years old. This is because Mercury's debilitation does
have neechabhanga

rajayoga, due to the exaltation planet Venus being angular to Ascendant and Moon. It also has a
punya argala from

Jupiter in the 9th which in turn (Jupiter) has a punya argala from the Moon in the Ascendant.
Note Moon aspects

the Mercury.

Another strong confluence throughout the D1, D9 and D24 chart is the Moon Mercury
relationship. Both are in

opposition and angular houses in the D1 & D24 charts (but with nodal involvement) and trinal
relationships in

Navamsa. Note Moon is 7th (Phd level of eduction) from Mercury in both Rasi and D24. Also,
that D24 is a

harmonic of the 4th house and both karakas Moon & Mercury confluence by aspect.

The Navamsa relationship and benefic aspects of Jupiter in the 3 charts counter-acts and raise the
nodal

involvement to help learning; Moon, Mercury and Jupiter being the important planets for
intelligence. But note that

Jupiter is debilitated in the 8th Navamsa despite being parivatana with its lord Saturn(Ak) in
Sagitarrius. However,

Mercury in D24, despite debilitation, aspects its exaltation sign Virgo Ascendant with the Moon
positioned there.

Mercury (Shadbala 0.98 average))

Also, overall, the chart has a very strong Mercury due to the planet being lord of the Navamsa
and D24 charts; the

5th lord from Ascendant & Moon in the rasi chart and angular to both the Ascendant and Moon
as well as conjoined

the Sun in the 4th forming a Buddha Aditya Yoga and Raja Yoga (5th and 4th in the 4th Leo)and
aspected by a full

Moon. In addition, the Mercury has confluences and benefic aspects in the Navamsa. However, it
has problems in

the D24 but ones that should be overcome due to the Neechabhanga Rajayoga and aspect on
Ascendant and Moon

in Virgo.

Planets 4th, 9th, 2nd and 7th (6th away) from Mercury in Rasi and D24 should also be
considered. ie. Moon 7th

from Mercury in D1 Rasi & D24 with Jupiter aspects in both and, which for D24, the aspect is
from the 9th house.

Jupiter (Shadbala 0.88 - low)

For karaka Jupiter placement for a Master's level of education. Lord Venus for Libra and Taurus
in Rasi & D24

respectively; Venus also 2nd to Jupiter in D24 with Sun. It is lord of 2nd house for D24. Jupiter
is also 2nd lord

from the Moon in Rasi and placed in the 9th house with Venus.

However, the Jupiter is limited in its ability to help. Despite being 9th from the Moon in Rasi and
with Ascendant

lord Venus and aspecting all the occupied signs in the chart, it is debilitated in the 8th in
Navamsa (through

parivatana with Ak Saturn) and in the 6th in Rasi. It is also bhadakish in D24. Therefore, in
terms of higher

education and specialisation, Jupiter might assist on degree level education (and maybe Master's
level), but which
might not, on the other hand, support for further specialisation (after all)to Phd level despite the
Neechanbhnaga

Raja Yoga of Mercury in the 7th house D24 as well as Moon 7th away in Rasi and D24.

Looking back at the Rasi chart

There are no planets in these houses (9th, 2nd & 7th) in the rasi chart, and the 2nd (Mercury) and
7th lord

(Mars)with the 5th lord are in the 4th rasi of education (in general) which might help manifest
opportunities, but

their placements in D24 might be too difficult for the weak Jupiter to support success in the
endeavor. However, the

great benefics Jupiter and Venus do aspect the Saturn in the 12th (9th lord of higher education
and 9 away from the

4th house). Note all the planets aspect each other by Rasi aspect and full Moon the 4th house
from the 10th and

gives a positive argala to the Saturn in the 12th house.

Super-imposing D24 Chart on D1 Chart

As in Tulya Navamsa Rasi, instead of the D9 chart, I have super-imposed D24 chart onto the D1
chart to reveal any

more patterns. In this case, Ascendant and Moon (body-mind) in Virgo falls in the 5th house of
the Rasi chart with

Mercury in the 11th (Pisces AL) and Jupiter in the Ascendant (Taurus). Thus, the D24 lord
Mercury (karaka for

education) gets strengthened by 5th house lordship in the D1 chart.

Outcome

This person never progressed onto Masters or Phd level of education in physiotherapy. The
strength of the 4th

house and karakas gave a very good secondary education whilst the Saturn 9th away in Rasi and
the Jupiter in the
9th house of the D24 chart gave education up to a degree level in the sciences, health and bio-
mechanics,

physiotherapy. However, now he is running Mercury Mahadasa, this could be a good time to
further specialisation

as it aspects the D24 Ascendant and has neechabhanga yoga by its placement in the 7th house.
Also, the Saturn

Atmakaraka Mahadasa is over and Saturn and Mars are conjoined in the D24 chart and had an
aspect and argala on

the Ascendant and Moon. Therefore, the hard work and obstacles should be less now for
educational endeavors.

For purposes of checking time (rectification)

D20 Chart

Ascendant & Venus in Sagitarius, Mercury in Aries, Sun & Nodes in Gemini Mars in Virgo,
Saturn (Ak) Jupiter

(Divisional lord) and Moon in Scorpio

The above chart confirms Mercury as Ishta Devatta (5th lord in Rasi & 12th from Ak in
Navamsa). Also there is a

parivatana between 5th (Mars) and 10th lord (Mercury) with 12th house planets involved; being
in Scorpio; 4th lord

Jupiter & 8th lord Moon with Ak Saturn. This confirms the spirituality of the chart with much
time spent in

ashrams in the past; practicing intense (Mars) meditation (12th practice). Note that Jupiter dasa
was running

during this period. He first saw his Guru at the age of 12 years old during Jupiter Dasa Sun
Bhukti. Jupiter is the

lord of the D20 chart. In the Rasi, it is 9th from the Moon with Ascendant lord Venus in own
house Libra. Mystical

death experiences occurred in Kethu bhukti during both Jupiter and Saturn Mahadasa (Nirvikalpa
Samdhi)
periods. Note that Sun is in Sambandha with Kethu in Rasi (in own house Leo), Navamsa (with
Ak and opposite

lagna and kethu), D20 & D24 charts and placed in angular houses. Also, Ak Saturn and Amk
Sun are in Sun's

Nakshtras whilst, in rasi, Sun is conjoined Kethu, which is in its own Nakshatra Magha.

D30 Chart

Ascendant Pisces, Mercury Gemini, Saturn & Sun Libra, Jupiter Venus Moon Mars Sagitarius,
Nodes Aquarius

Jupiter is the 8th lord in the rasi chart and is the lagna lord in the D30 and placed in the 10th
house with 6th rasi

lord Venus; as well as 3rd and 12th lord Moon and Mars. In the relevant 10th house in D30; this
reveals potential

weaknesses of the akasha (ether ruled by Jupiter and dominating this chart).

Saturn (12th Rasi lord in the 8th Libra in D30) with a debilitated Sun reveals congential
weakness from the past life

sins. The lord of the 8th in D30, Venus, in the 10th aspected by Saturn reveals mental
weaknesses that lead to the

worsening of congenital weaknesses.

In this case, Jupiter and Venus are also conjoined in Libra in the Rasi and aspected by Saturn
from Aries. Therefore,

this chart reveals the dangers of lust and the potential for reproductive weaknesses if the
individual is not carfeul to

over come and cure his weaknesses. Note that Mars is lord of 7th & 12th in the Rasi chart and
placed in Leo in the

4th house, 7th from the Moon and with Kethu. In Navamsa, Mars is vargotoma and aspects the
Venus and Jupiter

2nd from the Karakamsa and exchanging with the AK Saturn in the 7th house. This adds to the
excessively,

passionate nature of the chart.

Lucky for this individual, he has Mercury in its own sign in the 4th (the house of cure). His Ishta
is Mercury and

thus, the Gods Grace and awareness can help him to prevent this.

D9 Navamsa

Lastly, this individual is very sure that the time of birth was carefully recorded at the time of
birth. So there is little

need to rectify what proves to be an accurate birth chart and divisionals. Interestingly, his
Navamsa is definately

correct, confirmed by him having a Hindu marriage in 2005 during his Saturn Dasa and Rahu
sub period.

His Navamsa 7th house has Saturn (Ak) with Rahu and Sun there. His wife was much older
(Saturn), from a foreign

country and a divorcee(Rahu) and a very strong personality (Sun). The marriage did not last long
due to the lord of

the 7th (Jupiter, also the dara karaka) placed in the 8th house. In the rasi, the 7th lord Mars is
also in the 4th (Kuja

dosha) with Kethu. The dara karaka Jupiter is with Venus (as in the Rasi chart) making the wife,
a stage actress

(Rahu Venus influences).

From the above chart, the confluence between the D24 and other divisionals help confirm the
time of birth as

accurate. However, any comments that would add clarity to the above interpretation would be
appreciated.

EXAMINING A) DASA for D24 (EDUCATION & SIDDHIS) & B) DASA for D 11 (DEATH)

Use the above sample chart to further analyse:-

A) DASAS & Other predictive methods to hone in on 2 major relevant events in the same
significant month/day of
the native's life in the ASSOCIATED CONTEXT OF THE D24 CHART and indications for
"education, knowledge &

siddhis".

B) DEATH and its possible timings based on the jyotish rules; ie. DASAS, transits and other
predictive for measures

for identifying death in the context of the D11 CHART

A) D24 CHART(education, knowledge & siddhis) using DASA analysis

Case History

In the month of December 1996, the final exam results to degree. On the same evening, the
sudden relief as well as

culmination of some years of spiritual practice and study resulted in a spontaneous spiritual
experience ending in a

Samadhi experience. Using the details of the chart, try to determine the predictive factors to
validate the "story" and

then use transits and finer predictive tools to identify the exact day in which both "D24 events"
took place.

Exercise One

- TO ANALYSE MOST SIGNIFICANT MONTH OF LIFE IN TERMS OF D24 CHART =

December 1996

- AND DETERMINE EXACT DAY IN WHICH 2 THE RELATED EVENTS OCCURRED ON

THE SAME DAY = Day

in December 1996

Simultaneous (D 24) Events - that occurred on same day

1. Bsc. degree completed

(final exam results received)

2. Spiritual "Samadhi" experience(s)

(with subsequent temporary siddhis)

CHOOSE & INVESTIGATE FROM THE FOLLOWING, THE MOST RELEVANT DASA
SYSTEMS:-

(ie. for D1 & D24 charts)

Star based systems

i) VIMSOTTARI "star" dasa variations, ii) ASHTOTTARI Dasa (108 years) - useful to compare
against Vimsotarri

dasa, iii) YOGINI Dasa

Sign based Dasa systems

iv) NARAYANA Dasa, v) KALACHAKRA Dasa, vi) CHARA Dasa, vii) STHIRA Dasa, viii)
NIRYANA SHOOLA Dasa,

ix) DRIG DASA for spiritual progress, x) SUDASA for wealth and money (not relevant here for
indiciators chosen)

These 2 different main systems have different karakas, rules, yogas and dasa systems which
should not be mixed up

for interpretation and prediction.

OTHER PREDICTIVE INDICATORS TO USE COULD INCLUDE:-

B) DEATH DIVISIONAL D11 & D30 CHARTS

Exercise Two

Having completed exercise one, use the predictive tools skilled to now forecast death for the
sample chart. The

following are some of the factors/indicators to remember (noting the difference dasa
systems/rules used by

Parasara vs Jaimini):-

1. Timing of Death

Indicators:

i. BALARISTA & AYUDAYA (rules for birth & 3 progressive stages of life).Noting
a)Ascendant lord & 8th house lord

b)Ascendant & Moon c)Ascendant & Hora Lagna as well as Kakshya Vriddhi (increase in term
of life) Kakshya

Hrasa (decrease in term of life)

Note: strength of Moon is important in Balaristra assessment and if Ascendant lord is stronger
than 8th lord for

longer life.

ii. 8TH HOUSE & LORD & MARS for longevity (as in Ayurdaya rules).

iii. USE OF 8th and 3rd FROM ARUDHA LAGNA

iv. ALSO NOTE 8TH (& 12TH HOUSE LORD) FROM KARAKAMSA - Maheswara Planet

v. SHIVA STHIRA KARKAKAS used for death.

vi. MARAKAS (2nd & 7th) lords for death (ie. 12th from house of life - 8th & 3rd)

vii. NATURAL PLANETARY KARAKAS (Saturn - aging & Kethu - death)

viii. DASAS TO CONSIDER - Vimshottari (Parasara) & Shoola (Jaimini) dasa (specific dasa for
death). Timing

death is to be done with the method of three pairs, (Niryana & Pitru)shoola dasa, shoola chakra,
navatara. Also note
Sthira dasa and Phalita Dasas (Chara Dasa, Dasa Varsha, Chara Paryaya Dasa, Sthira Parya
Dasa, Trikona Dasa

etc.... noting Jaimini vs Parasara methods)

Note: The rasis containing the 2nd and 7th houses are called maraka sthanas (killer stations).
When we use rasiruled dasas that can show death, dasas of these rasis can bring death. Lords of
the 2nd and 7th houses are called

maraka grahas (killer planets). When we use planet-ruled dasas that can show death, dasas of
these planets can

bring death.

Note Rudra planets:- 8th lord of the Ascendant & 8th lord of 7th from Ascendant. Stronger of the
two is called the

Prani Rudra (life killer). The weaker if associated with or aspected by any malefic becomes the
Aprani Rudra.

ix. DEATH INFLICTING DASA SIGNS - a) 5th & 9th signs of Ascendant or its 7th house b)
5th & 9th of Rudra

planets c) Dasa signs occupied by Prani Rudra if he is a malefic d) Dasa sign occupied by Aprani
Rudra e) Dasa sign

occupied or aspected y Mars and the Moon f) Dasas sign aspected by Saturn and Rahu g) Dasas
sign aspected or

occupied by the Moon placed in Aries or Scorpio h) Dasa sign occupied by Moon associated
with Malefics

x. TRANSITS used considering 64th NAVAMSA (& it lord) & 22nd DREKANNA (& its lord)
for exact timing of

death along with relevant (Mahadasa-bhukti)lord.

xi. ARUDHA PADA of the 8th House - Saturns transit of the Arudha of the 8th house

xii. DIVISIONALS - RUDRAMASA (D11 - death) and TRIAMSA (D30 - evils/sickness)

Other considerations:- Amshayu, Pindayu and Nisargayu (Vimshoitarri configurations)

2. After life

Consider Navamsa and 12th from Ak (KK)

3. Future (next) life

Navamsa Chart

START THE SAMPLE CHART ANALYSIS USING THE ABOVE GUIDELINES

(to be elaborated upon)

Some notes for now ...

EXERCISE ONE

A) DECEMBER 1996 ANALYSIS

Using Vimsottari Dasa (briefly examined earlier with D24 chart)

Saturn Mahadasa, Kethu Bhukti (as used in D24 Chart earlier) looking at lordship, houses,
aspects, relationship to

each other, position in D9, D20 & D24 Charts.

Note SATURN is lord of 9th and 10th (Yogakaraka and Atmakaraka planet), bhadakish, in the
12th house

debilitated and retrograde, but has a strong neechanga yoga (Sun & Mars). Venus also
(Ascendant lord) and Jupiter

aspect it, opposite it in the 6th.

As the Atmakaraka planet, especially consider Saturn's position in Navamsa (Karakamsa) as well
as Rasi Chart

(Karakamsa). Note planetary positions relative to these as well as Moon and Arudha Lagna. Do
the same for Kethu.

For analysing positions from AK, KK & AL, see post on Atmakaraka & Jaimini Yogas
http://www.blogger.com/postedit.g?blogID=155013295431567346&postID=8159155259545889
294.

As mentioned above in the D20 interpretation, KETHU has a strong Sambanda with the Sun. It
has a strong

placement throughout the chart(s) and fiery conjunction in the 4th house in opposition to the
Moon in the 10th.
Kethu's conjunction with the Sun is more than 20 degrees and raises the strength of Sun in own
sign Leo. Kethu as

the "flag" can reveal achievement of Sun qualities and leadership potential.

RELATIONSHIP of MAHADASA TO BHUKTI LORD/ANTARDASA PLANET (to

Pratyantar Dasha - Sukshmantar

Dasha - Prana Dasha)

Saturn and Kethu are enemies but in a trinal relationship with lord of Aries (where Saturn is
placed in the 12th),

being Mars who is in conjunction with Kethu in the 4th (moksha houses)....pratyantar lord =
Sun?

Consider Saturn (12th house) as first house and read chart from there; do the same for Kethu.

Note planetary period, ashtavaarga, transits (& Gochara + Vedha obstructions) of Saturn &
Kethu (ie. both in

Pisces) and Jupiter in Sag (from Ascendant, Moon and natal position) in December 1996 ...
against the D1, (D9 &

D20) & D24 charts. Consider transits from Nakshatras too. Remember transits modify the effect
of dasas and

should be examined within their context.(bhukti lord with slower moving planets ie. Saturn,
Jupiter and Kethu).

Other specific/relevant dasa systems and predictive tools...

Ashtottari, Yogini, Narayan, Kalachakra, Drig dasa, transits etc...

EXERCISE TWO

B) DEATH DATE PREDICTION

Length of life

Ayudaya principles for stage of life reached (ie. now 40 years old)

Planetary cause of death

eg. karakas of death (Saturn & Kethu); Maraka planets from Ascendant... 2nd lord Mercury, 7th
lord Mars; lord of
64th Navamsa and 22nd Drekanna (also Mars and Mercury respectively). Mars and Mercury in
the 4th house Leo

with Kethu and Sun; 6th from AL ... death from heart attack? When..?... consider Vimsotarri and
Shoola Dasa as

well as note Mars Mercury transits to the 8th house...? But type (context) of death often requires
examination of

Ardha lagna.

Type of death

ie. 8th lord Jupiter in 6th house (Libra) with 6th lord, and 8th from Arudha lagna with lord of
Arudha lagna

Jupiter. Karakamsa in the 8th Sagitarius – also ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter in 8th Navamsa
debilitated in parivatana

with KK.

Examine Rudramsa D11 & Triamsa D30 (in context of above)

D11 CHART ...

Examine this chart for death using ...transits, dasa lord, arudha padas etc.

D30 CHART

As mentioned earlier in this post, Jupiter lord of Triamsa and in the 10th own house Sagitarius
aspected by Saturn

(& Sun) in 8th Libra. Note Libra is the 6th sign in the Rasi Chart with 8th lord there with Lagna
lord Venus

Note Dasas & Transits for determining time of death

In context of the above, analyse Vimsottari (Parasara) with Shoola (Jaimini) dasa and compare
against transits of

64th Navamsa & 22nd Drekkana lords

NOTE: USE YOUR CHART AND THE ABOVE METHOD TO COMPARE THE
ACCURACY OF A PREDICTIVE

READING USING LAHIRI AYANAMSA AGAINST RAMAN'S AYANAMSA

Shodash Varga Charts in Vedic Astrology

Life is complex and multi-dimensional. Vedic Astrology intends to address the complexities and

reveal the various dimension of human life in astrological way. Various Lagnas, Varga Charts or

divisional charts, Dasha systems etc are nothing but a way to know the complexed human life

and understand the manifested and hidden dimensions of life.

But some insincere astrologers take the provision of various Ascendants, Divisional charts,

Dasha Systems in Vedic Astrology very casually and due to their ignorance and incapability to

understand the very purpose of these provisions, they jump to say in temptation that Vedic

Hindu Astrology is confusing and is mess of theories & Principles. While reality is different. If
we

understand the purpose of inclusion of these, we will feel highly indebted to its originators.

Merely Rashi Chart cannot reveal all aspects of life. For example, if there is need of considering

educational prospect of a native, all related factors required to bring under scanner . Education

is not an independent thing that has to come to the native singularly. In the course of his

education, several factors would be in force to influence his education. For this, there would be

need to understand student’s inclination, approach, inquisitiveness, intelligence, grasping level,

memory etc. Besides, there would be need to understand obstacles, competition, companion

on the path and environment at home, school/college, society also. Thereafter, his performance

and success in education can be assessed. Hence, to take account of all such factors there
should be different-different tools – Lagna Chart alone will not give entire picture. Various

Lagnas, Charts, Dasha Systems etc are few tools which are used to consider all factors and

arrive at a defnite conclusion.

Maharshi Parashar has advocated to use Varga Chart in addition to other tools to understand

the particular aspect of life. For example if there is need of knowing all about of life partner from

a horoscope of other partner, what is way of knowing it, because ‘all about of life partner’ covers

various aspects and will birth (D-1) chart only be capable to indicate satisfactorily? No doubt

Planets (as per Bhava Karaka, Sthir Karaka and Char karaka), Signs (as per elements, Quality

and Polarity) and Houses (as per Kendra, Trikon, Trik, Upachaya, Panaphara and Apoklim) of

Natal chart reveal the same in broad way but it fnds expression if the matter is studied alongwith

respective lagna, planet, divisional chart etc. In case of life partner, 7th house in D-1 shows

approach towards relationship, 7th house in D-9 indicates traits and character of partner & 7th

from Venus distance from the location of partner, Upapada gives hints of type of marriage,

Upapada Lord stands for status of wife, 7th from Upapada may reveal impediments in marriage,

Al from UL meeting place of partners, 2nd and 8th from UL determins the longevity of marriage,

Sexual desire is expressed by Saptamarudha, Venus gives native an opportunity to experience

the relationship. Thus, we see that the concept of Divisional Charts & others in Parashari &

Jaimini System are how much essential.

Parashara had mentioned about 16 Vargas. Each Varga has 12 houses. Therefore, Shodash

Varga Chart will give us 192 (16 x 12) bhavas representing variety of aspects of human life.

Varga Charts indicate Promise, Potential Resource, and materialization of an event. Resource is

indicated by a particular bhava -bhavesha, occupant and other associated planets with the

bhava. Potentiality is determined by their strength, avasthas etc. In other word, if any aspect of
life is required to be studied then we will have to consider on a) Bhavas – obtained by concerned

D-Chart of Shodashvarga b) Bhava lords – Sign Lords occupying a particular Bhava. c) Karaka

of concerned Varga and Bhava. And result of such assessed promise will be experienced by the

native at the time of operation Dasha period of concerned planet(s). Result will be delivered as

per the resource available (indicated by functional nature of planet, Yoga formed due to

accidental placement and other influence, planetary strength in Shadabala, Vimshopaka Bala

and Ashtakvarga Bala) in the horoscope.

Shodas Vargas have been classifed in the following four groups:

a) Shadvarga: Rashi Chart (D-1), Hora Chart (D-2), Dreshkona Chart (D-3), Navamsha Chart

(D-9), Dwadashamsha Chart (D-12) and Trishamsha Chart (D-30). Shadvarga is important

because 15 points out of 20 points of Vimsopaka Bala fall in this classifcation. f planet is in

2,3,4,5 or 6 good vargas (exaltation, moolatrikona, own, friendly signs, or a sign that is owned
by

a planet ruling an angle (1,4,7,10) from the arudha, then it is called kimshuka, vyanjana,

chaamara, chatra, kundala.

b) Saptavarga: Shadvarga and Saptamamsha Chart (D-7). If in good vargas in all seven, it is

called Mukuta.

c) Dashavarga: Saptavarga and Dashamsha Chart (D-10), Shodashamsha (Khalamsha) Chart

(D16) and Shastiamsha (D-60). Planets in good vargas in this classifcation are from 2 to 10

vargas: Parijaat, uttam, gopur, simhasan, parvat, devlok, brahmalok, shakravahan, shridham.

d) Shodhasvarga: Dashavarga and Chaturthamsha Chart, Vimshamsha Chart,
