The Cebu Port Authority (CPA) began implementing on Oct 19 a 5% increase in cargo-handling charges for foreign cargoes at the Port of Cebu.
The 5% rate hike is the first tranche in the 10% across-the-board increase in foreign cargo-handling tariff (excluding for cement, iron, and steel products) in the Port of Cebu under CPA Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 12-2019 dated September 27 and signed by CPA general manager Leonilo Miole.

CPA Memorandum Circular No. 12-2019, entitled “10% Increase For Foreign
Cargo Handling Tariff and Modification of Cargo Handling Services for Foreign
Cargoes”, having been published in Sunstar and Freeman newspapers on 3
October 2019, will take effect on 19 October 2019.
All concerned offices are hereby directed to make necessary adjustment of
foreign cargo handling tariff rates and disseminate the attached Memo Circular to
all affected port stakeholders,
