Note on the Calculations

The proposed soakaway calculations are to be read in conjunction with drawing

numbers 10613NA-200 and 201, and the drainage strategy document reference
‘10613NA Drainage Strategy’.

Results of infiltration tests carried out in the local vicinity of the site, within the West
Melbury Marly Chalk geological formation, have been obtained by Gyoury Self. The tests
identified rates of 8.7 x 10-6 m/s and 8.5 x 10-6 m/s. An infiltration rate of 8.5 x 10-6
m/s has therefore been used in the soakaway calculations.
