Self assessment

I consider myself to be a very hardworking, intelligent, practical headstrong and reliable

individual. I am a people’s person some of my best days are consist of me helping other people

however I can. I am very observant and good listeners; I enjoy getting to know other people

because believe that everyone has a story or different perspective in life and they deserve a

chance to share it. I am good with working with a team without being prompt from above. These

qualities allow me to get along with other persons.

Strengths

Some of my biggest strengths are my adoptability to situations; I am determined, patient,

respectful, disciplined and trustworthy. I am a quick learner with a high stress tolerance.

Weaknesses

My greatest weakness is that I am a shy person by nature and this often gets in the way of

my ability to communicate with other people. I am a patient person so I tend to not stopping at

my limits so things do not get done in the schedule time. I also a bit unorganized at times and I

have trouble prioritizing my responsibilities.

Opportunities

I have being given the opportunity to attend university, this will afford me a chance to acquire

and expand my knowledge which will widen my career options. This also allows me to be able to

impact my knowledge onto my colleagues. I addition it gives me an opportunity to a wider range

of job options.

Threats

Currently the threat I am facing is a lock of employment opportunities; it is very

challenging for me to find a job while still being enrolled in an intuition. The companies that are

interested in employ me are not supportive of employee advancement therefore they are not

willing to make adjustments to allow me to attend classes or to be able to show up for exams.

They do not believe that I would be able to balance work and school effectively.

Another threat is the demand for employees with prior work experiences. Although I have work

experience it might not be enough to meet the requirements for the positions that I am qualifies

for. I am not given a chance to prove that I am capable of doing the job. Additionally the

business field is very competitive so there are limited opportunities, this also contribute to the

treat of unemployment.

Utilizing strength to take advantage of opportunities

Being the hard working determined individual that I am will allow me to take each

challenge ‘head on ’.I am able to challenge and motivate myself ,in order to take advantage of

my opportunities .with the soft skills that I possess I would be able to deal with difficult and

challenging situations.

How threats impact my achievement goal,

The threats that I face could have a negative impact in achieving my goals in a number of

ways. Not being able to find a job will negatively affect me, not only financially but I will not have

a chance to excel in my field of study. The field if business administration is very competitive,

therefore it would require extremely hard work and dedication to be successful.

How weaknesses can constraint/limit my success

Not being able to prioritize properly can affect my studies negatively, could result in

failing my classes then I would have to pay to retake modules. Additionally being a shy person

will affect my ability to connect and communicate with other persons.

Key actions I need to take in order to achieve my goals

After doing this analysis I am now aware of the importance of gaining work experience. I

have realized that I will have to capitalize on my strengths to take advantage of my opportunities,

while working to improve my weaknesses in order to eliminate the threats.
