to draw insights from the teacher as to the reasons of their use in such learning activities.

Step 1. Observe a class and identify the lesson objectives, learning activities,
instructional materials and assessment tools used by the teacher.
Step 2. Interview the teacher on the reason behind the use of observed learning
activities and instructional materials.
Step 3. Reflect on the reasons given by the teacher interviewed.

1. What are the objectives of the lesson?
During the class visit, the objectives of the lessons are:
a.) Determine the acidity and basicity of samples using pH scale
b.) Differentiate the result of two different indicators: plant indicator and
pH scale.

2. How do the learners participate in the learning activities?


Participation to the students are well observerld. Their eagerness to learn are
observable because everyone of them are participating in the classroom
activity. Specially also in the group activity since most of them are paticipating.

The instructional material that were employed in activities are:

4. How does the teacher assess the learning in the lesson? Is she assessing the
process or the product?
During the presentation of the group activity several abstraction are made that
goal is to correct the wrong conception that the students are made. Discussion are
also inserted at this point. After the group presentation Maam also check the
given criteria in the group activity.
In terms of assessment, Maam also give an evaluation that is congruent to her
objectives in the lesson.

5. What reasons does the teacher give in having such learning activities?
The goal for this kind of activity is to immersed the child and learn by doing.
The good point also is Maam alwaya applied localization in her activity. She
used material that is available in the environment.
