CONSTITUTION
AND
BY- LAWS
PREAMBLE

We the officers and members of the Innovative Technology and Livelihood Education
Club, imploring the aid of Almighty God in order to establish Organization that enable the
members and officers to define and understand their roles for their intellectual, socio- civic
development, foster binding and Technology Livelihood Education student, faculty and
administration providing a sound environment, unity and cooperation among the members, do
ordain and promulgate this constitution and by-laws.

ARTICLE I

(ORGANIZATION)

SECTION 1. The organization shall be called Innovative Technology and Livelihood Education
Club (InTLEC)

SECTION 2. ORGANIZATIONAL LOGO

core of the logo is the GAEA (mother earth) where we live in. On it are the individual images
representing the letters of TLE (Technology Livelihood Education).

The gears, in the form of a tree, represent technology. Commonly, gears are associated with
machines, which are products of technology.

The human silhouette bracing hands represents livelihood. People brace hands to meet
everybody’s needs and to live in peace and harmony.

The opened book is a faithful representation of knowledge and education. That book is the
source of wisdom for all the established truth.

In the triangle are the main components of TLE, which are the Industrial Arts, ICT, and Home
Economics. All of them are enclosed by the name of the organization “Innovative Technology
and Livelihood Education Club”.

SECTION 4. Organization Slogan:

Added to the logo is the organizational slogan.

The slogan captures the very essence of TLE. It strongly expresses the role portrayed by the
organization in the various disciplines and areas existent in the world. Technology molds the
direction towards success and industrialization. Livelihood maintains innovations that keep
people abreast with the changing needs and demands of the time. Education enhances human
living. TLE makes people’s lives easy. TLE moves the world. TLE is a Total Life Enhancer.

ARTICLE II(MEMBERSHIP)
SECTION 1. All students majoring in Technology and Livelihood Education shall
automatically become a bonafide member of the organization provided they have paid the fees
stated in Article IX.
SECTION 2. Qualified members are priority in all the endeavors and benefits provided by the
organization.

ARTICLE IV
(CLUB OFFICERS AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES)
SECTION 1. The governing body of the club shall be:
A. PRESIDENT
B. VICE- PRESIDENT
C. SECRETARY
D. ASSISTANT SECRETARY
E. TREASURER
F. AUDITOR
G. BUSINESS MANAGERS
H. REPRESENTATIVE (ALL YEAR LEVEL)
SECTION 2. The president shall:
A. Be the executive of the club;
B. Be responsible for the general management of the club under the guidance of
the advisers;
C. Supervise and coordinate the work with different officers and communities;
and
D. Act as one of the signatories of disbursement drawn from the fund of the
organization.
SECTION 3. The vice president shall:
A. Assist the president in his/ her agenda in the organization; and
B. Act as the officer- in- charge in the absence of the president.
SECTION 4. The secretary shall:
A. Keep all the records of the club;
B. Take the minutes of the meetings and assemblies;
C. Oversee all the club’s official communication and correspondence;
D. Notify the members of the club meetings; and
E. Act as the officer- in- charge in the absence of the president.
SECTION 5. The treasurer shall:
A. Serve as an official custodian of the club’s fund;
B. Collect all the membership dues and other club fees;
C. Keeps accurate record of all funds collected and disbursed; and
D. Collect amount to be used in such occasion if necessary in the name of the
organization as per amounted by the officers and members in the form of
voting and as approved by the adviser through resolution.
SECTION 6. The auditor shall:
A. Assist the president and treasurer in financial matters;
B. Audit all the financial transactions of the club; and
C. Conducts an inventory of the club property.
SECTION 7. The business manager shall stand responsible in all business transactions of the
organization.
SECTION 8. The representative shall be responsible in the promotion of activities in their
respective year level.

ARTICLE V
(MEETINGS)
SECTION 1. The officers shall meet regularly, once a month on the date, time and place to be
fixed by the said officers.
SECTION 2. Special meetings maybe called by the club President or any three (3) of the
members by giving written notice to all members of the date, time, place, and agenda of the
meeting at least one (1) in advance, notices or regular or special meetings shall be furnished by
the organization advicer for her information. A majority of the members of the InTLEC shall
constitute a quorum.

ARTICLE VI
(ORDER OF BUSINESS)
SECTION 1. The order of business of this organization shall be as follows:
A. Prayer. The members are encouraged to humble themselves before GOD
through prayer and seek divine wisdom, guidance and strength to fulfill their
important roles as a leader.
B. Roll call. Calling the roll of members is an optional item and ask such, it
maybe dispense with. However, upon every roll call of the InTLEC, the
names of the members shall be called to determine quorum. The Presiding
Officer assigned the task pf the secretary for the roll call to be made.
C. In the absence of quorum, the members present shall be organized to compel
the attendance of absent members.
D. Reading and consideration of previous minutes. The minutes of the previous
meeting shall be approved just before any business should be taken up. If
there are corrections proposed, the presiding officer shall instruct the
secretary to note the proposed corrections from the members before the
meeting begins.
E. Privilege and questioning hour. The privilege hour is the time allotted for any
member during meeting to express the sentiments of his constituents of his
own official views, opinions, comments, oppositions on various issues and
affairs of interest.
F. Committee reports.
G. Unfinished business.
H. Business of the day.
I. Adjournment.

ARTICLE VII
(TENURE OF OFFICERS)
(DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF EACH MEMBER)
SECTION 1. Pays the contribution as prescribed by the Organization.
SECTION 2. Abides the rules, policies, laws and regulation as mandated by the constitutional
and by- laws of the organization.
SECTION 3. Support all the activities of the organization.
SECTION 4. Exercise his/her rights and privileges within the limitation of laws duly
constituted by the organization.

ARTICLE IX
(FINANCES AND DUES)
SECTION 1. An amount of P 30.00 shall be collected from each member of the Organization in
the regular term every year as a membership fee. Every first semester of the the academic year
will serve as membership fee and each member shall receive a membership card.
SECTION 2. The fund of the Organization shall be basically derived from the membership fees
and other income regarding activities of the Organization.
SECTION 3. All disbursements shall be acknowledge/ approved or/ and signed by the
president, treasurer and auditor of the Organization.
SECTION 4. Other sources of fund of the Organization shall also come from
A. Contribution collected from among members approved in a resolution if
necessary.
B. Fund raising program as approved by the officers, advicer/s, and the college
dean.

ARTICLE X
(CLUB ADVISERS)
SECTION 1. The club adviser/s shall be a Technology and Livelihood Education instructor/
professor of the College of Teacher Education.

ARTICLE XI
(GUIDELINES OF ELECTIONS)
SECTION 1. The election shall only take place if there is at least quorum that is one- half plus
one of the total numbers of members of the club under the approval and supervision of the
adviser.

ARTICLE XII
(IMPEACHMENT)
SECTION 1. An officer shall be impeached if he did not attend at least three meetings of the
club and did not participate in at least three major club activities.
ARTICLE XIII
(EFFECTIVITY)
SECTION 1. The constitution and by- laws shall take effct upon ratification by the officers and
members in the general assembly of the organization and by the advisers and consultants.
