Microsoft office word is a word processing document which is created by BILL GATE’s Company
Microsoft Corporation in USA It is a part of Microsoft office package 2007 .We can use it to create
Documents, Letters, Resume and more Official Documents and Books.

Path For Opening Ms Word 2007

Start- All Program- Microsoft Office 2007--Microsoft Office Word 2007

Title Bar

Title Bar Shows The Name Of Opened Document And Program It


Includes Three Main Buttons At The Right Hand Side

First Button Have X Shape Which Is Named As Close Button Used For Close Or
Exit The Program

The Second Button Have □ Shape Which Is Named As Restore Button Which Is
Used For Increase Or Decrease The Size Of Window And

Third One Have – Shape Which Is Named As Minimize Button Used For Hide
Window To The Taskbar At The Bottom Of The Display Screen

At the left hand side of title bar two things also given first thing is quick access
tool bar used for quickly access any feature like undo, redo, save and print you
can also add more feature in it by clicking the drop down button shapes like “ᵥ”

And the other thing is office button it includes some more options for
documentation as given pic

Office Button Have Following Options:-

New:- To Create New Document (ctrl+N)

Open:- To Re-edit Created Document(ctrl+O)

Save:-To Store Document To The Hard Disk(ctrl + S)

Save As:- To Save Same Document By Changing Name And Type Such As
Rich Text, Word 2003 type, or Word Template Type For Another Use (F12
Button)

Print:- To Take Out Hard Copy Of Any Document. Print Option Also Have
Three Sub Options:- Print:- For setup of page range, Number of Copies and
Printer(ctrl+P)

Quick Print:- For Give Out Direct Print Of Hard Copy


Without Any Settings

Print Preview:- For Looking Out How’s The Document Is


Created And Change Page Size , Margins Settings, Shrinking Of Multiple Pages
Into One, and Zoom In And Out Option Here You Can See Two Pages At One
Time (ctrl +F2)

Prepare:- To Make Changes With Using Following Options

Properties:- Change The Property Of Documents By Adding Author


Name ,Company Name And Other Fields.

Inspect Document:- To Check Out The Whole Document For


Personal Information and Hidden Metadata.

Encrypt Document:- To Create Settings and Password Protect The


Document.

Restrict Permission:-To Create Permission For Every User Who


Can Chang In Document No One Can Edit, Copy And Print After That

Add A Digital Signature:-For Adding Digital Signature To The


Document

Mark As Final:-To Create Document Read Only No One Can Harm


Your Document

Run Compatibility Checker:- To Check Out The Features which is


not supported by MS Office

Send:-Here You Can Send Document Through Email (Microsoft


Outlook Mail) Or Internet Fax

Publish:- Here You Can Create Content Blog For Internet Web Page, Create
Server Point For Sync Document, and Create Workspace For Office Server
Which is Just Like A Online Examination Center Workspace

Close:- Here You Can Close The Document If You Not Save The document
rendered your data un-updated.

Ribbon

A Ribbon must have 7 Different Tabs Used For Different Documentation Works

1)Home Tab:- Used for basic document structure and formatting

2)Insert Tab:- Used for Object in document

3)Page Layout Tab:- Used for Setting of Pages

4)Reference Tab:- Used for creation of Indexes

5)Mailings Tab:- Used for Multiple Mailings of One document

6)Review Tab:- Used for final analysis

7)View Tab:- Used for Compare within documents and Macros

Home Tab

A home tab is used to create basic structure of any document work it


includes several groups of features each group belongs to its specific work

1. Clipboard Group:-

A clipboard group is a first group of home tab which is used for texts
placements and formatting

( ctrl + x) :- a cut option is used to move texts or objects from one


place to other first you have to select what do you want to move out for
these you can drag your mouse pointer by clicking left click and move mouse
over the selection then go to the home tab and click cut feature after that
your selected area has been go hide .

(ctrl + c) :- a copy option is used to make duplicate of selected area


or objects for copy any thing first select any field and go to home tab then
click copy feature

For selection you also have to press shift button and press arrows key in any
direction for the selection.

(ctrl + v) :- a paste option is used to place cut or copy fields to the


curser area where curser blinks there the matter should be paste

( ctrl + shift + c) :- Format Painter is used to copy Format


From one Place to another place for these you have to
format any text area with color, highlight, you can either use bold italic and
underline then select the area and double click on format painter feature in
home tab then select the area to change the format.

2.Font Group :-

Font group is used to create basic format changes to the texts and fonts it
have several features given below

Font Style :- These feature is used to select different font


styles like given in the box you have to click on the drop down arrow to select
different styles

Font Size :-These feature is used for change out a size of font smallest
size given in box is 8 and largest size given in box is 72

Grow Font :- This Feature is used to Increase Size of font larger than 72
its largest limit is 1638 .

Shrink font :- This Feature is used to Decrease Size of font smaller than 8
its smallest size is 1.

Bold :- This Feature is used to make Darken Font.

Italic :- This Feature is used to make font some tilted.

Underline :- This Feature is used to make font Underlined with different


ways like Double underline, Single underline Etc.

Strikethrough :- This Feature is used to show a cut on the middle of the


word.

Subscript :- This Feature is used to lower down text from Normal Text.
For Example H2O, CO2 etc.

Superscript :- This Feature is used to make Text Upper From the Normal
Text. For example 11th , a2 etc.

Change Case This Feature is used to make changes as capital letters and
small letters . Five Different Types of Cases are given here:-

1. Sentence case:- normal English which have the first letter is capital in a
paragraph is sentence case.
2. lower Case:- All the text should be in small letters in this case
3. UPPER CASE:- All the matter goes capitalized in these case
4. Capitalized Each Word:- First letter of any word should be capital in
these case
5. tOGGLE cASE:- First letter of any word should be small in these

Text Highlighter :- these function is used to highlights the selected text


with different color

Text Color :- Here You can choose different text colors .

Clear All :- This Function is used to clear all format we have selected but
it cannot remove text highlighter .

3.Paragraph

Paragraph Group is used to setting up Paragraphs it have basic Features of


Paragraph Formatting.

Bullets :- here you can make list using different Bullet Symbols just like
given image for example

If you use bullets to create a list then when you type something after bullet
the number of list increases automatically after pressing the enter button
and if you left blank after the bullet and press enter button then the list is
been broken.

Numbering :- numberings is just like bullets but here you will make a list
using numbers click on arrow to select numberings like a image below:-

Multilevel Numberings :- here you can select different levels of


Numbering click on arrow to select different types of multilevel numberings
like a image below :-

Note: For change level each time you have to press TAB Button

Decrease Indent :- Here you can decrease spacing from the left margin
with the paragraph if you have increased it just like a image given below

Increase Indent :- Here You can move paragraph to the right hand side
margin which makes distance between paragraph and left margin. Just like
image given below:-

Sort :- Here You Can Arrange Paragraphs Or Numbers In Ascending or


descending order just like image given below :-

You just have to select the peraghaph or list and click on sort feature in home
tab for taking effect.

Left Alignment :- here you can arrange the alignment to the left hand side
of the window.

Center Alignment :- Here you can arrange the paragraph to the center
of the window.

Right alignment :- Here you can arrange the Peragraph to the Right
hand side of the window.

Justify :- Here you can arrange Both the sides of paragraph Equal.

Line Spacing :- here you can increase or decrease the space between
lines of a paragraph just like an image given below:-

Theme Color :- you can apply color of a theme behind the text as you
want by using these feature.

Boarder :- You can select boarder for a paragraph by clicking arrow you
can choose more boarder types. You can also draw a table on your own by
these feature. and also insert boarders and shadings all the things you got in
these are given in the image given below

4. Styles Group

Style Group Includes Several Special Styles For Font Formatting And Format
Leveling .

NORMAL:- here is general font format is given

No Spacing:- It can remove all the space between the Paragraph lines

Heading 1:- level 1 formatting of font
Heading 2:- level 2 formatting of font
Heading 3:- level 3 formatting of font

Heading 4:- level 4 formatting of font

Heading 5:- level 5 formatting of font


TiTle :-used for titles and chapters headings

Sub title:- used for creation of Sub titles or authors name

Subtle Emphasis:- Used For Shadow Like Theme For Font

Emphasis:- Used for Thin Words

Strong:- Used for Strong or general font type

Book Title:- USED FOR TITLING A BOOK CLASSIC STYLE

NOTES:- WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE ARROW THEN THE SAVE SELECTION OPTION IS USED FOR
CREATION OF NEW STYLE SET JUST LIKE HINDI AND ENGLISH TRANSFORMATION THE
TUTORIAL IS GIVING AT THE PRACTICAL WORKS.

Change styles :- Here you can find more styles other than given style
rows

You can choose different theme color and select different font

Editing Group

Editing group is used to find out mistakes and changes in basic formatting of
document

Find :- This option is used for find out the spellings and words you
want in whole document

Replace :- If the word we found in the document and the spelling
mistake or any change on word is needed we use replace feature here two
things happened

Replace one by one

Replace all

SELECT ALL :- This option is used to select whole document at one


time or by pressing(alt + a) key

Next thing is select objects this option is used for images or clip arts shapes
like object select without text

And last thing is select from similar formatting which is used for select word
from same format

This is your first day lesson of home tab use this and below some tasks are
given try them for practical work:-

Task 1

1. Make A Paragraph On computer and use headings as title style of style


group
2. Create list of computer generation using book or internet and for
creation of list use bullets
3. Create a questions as multiple choice answering system
4. Select all and then apply Bold , Italic & Underline

1. Write a poem In English Normal Font
2. The Poem Must Have 4 Peragraphs
3. First paragraph Have Left Aligned
4. Seccond Para Have Center Aligned
5. Third paragraph have Right aligned
6. Forth paragraph have justified
7. Title must have heading 3 font style
8. First paragraph theme must have orange light color
9. Second paragraph theme must have pink light color
10.Third paragraph theme must have Blue light color
11.Fourth paragraph must have Yellow Light Color
12.Page Boarder Must Have Apple Shaped
13.And Line Spacing is Selected 2.0
